Today we're going to be taking a look at a replacement shackle strap. A shackle strap connects a double aisle leaf spring to a hangar of a single-axle trailer or to an equalizer of a multi-axle trailer. It's going to allow the necessary pivot of the springs to occur for an evenly distributed load between the axles, and also a smooth ride for the trailer. This part number is good for one shackle strap. If we take a measurement, the distance that we have from the center of one hole to the center of the other, that's going to give us the measurement of 2-5/8". Overall length, edge to edge, is around 4".
Overall width from edge to edge is going to give us a measurement of about 1-1/4". The hole diameters, that's going to be 9/16". You can see it's made from a nice durable steel construction. That's going to do it for today's look at the replacement shackle strap.

Looks like all parts, nuts bolts flanges were all packed loose in the box, UPS destroyed the package and reboxed, resulting in missing items. Attached picture is what I received.
I put them on a double axle goose neck 2-horse straight load that gets used almost 2 days a week this last year. It has made many 100mile trips. I bought it used 8-hrs from home. Bought and installed new tires the next day and jacking it up broke a leaf spring. Put four springs on it using these shackles. Good as new!
Fit perfect with the equalizers I also bought from etrailer.
Good fit for a replacement on my utility trailer. Will probably hit them with a can of spray paint as they're bare metal.

Package with straps was mangled in transit. The straps were not there. I called Etrailer and hey immediately sent replacements. Great service.
All the items look great. I'll let you guys know if I'm still happy after installation.

Correct parts and worked as they should. Replaced springs and hardware on one side of trailer the day i recieved parts.
The tire blew out on my camper. I changed the tire. I didn’t realize the spring was broke. I ordered springs and shakels and new bolts. It took just over and hour for both sides. Everything I received from etrailer was just as it should be.

They work well, it wasn't easy to set the bolts into the holes but overall they are as advertised.
The spring replacement went well and was easy to complete. It lifted my trailer about 1.5 inches from the top the tire to the fender. It wont rub anymore!!

I bought 4 New Leaf Springs for my RV. Great price, so much so that I decided to move up from a 4 leaf spring to a 5 leaf spring for less than $10 more plus free shipping. I'm glad I found their site. Shipping was only 4 days.

We have been totally satisfied though with the products we bought and have recommended others to your site. Thank for saving me a couple hundred plus I have a stronger suspension as well.
I purchased 4 springs , 4 shackles , 2 load equalizer sand 4 axle U bolt kits for my 7,000# tandem trailer . Markings on parts indicated same as original parts and all fit properly . Only used trailer one time since the suspension rebuild for 6,000# of rock and all parts performed like new. Very satisfied with the quality and also the speedy shipping .
I use my bumper pull tandem flatbed trailer a lot and have had to replace shackle straps, equalizer and bushings twice with it being less than 10 years old. This last time I took advice from a customer that had doubled the shackle straps and used longer bolts in shackle and spring eye. After a year, there is no visible wear yet so thinking this is an easy way to get more life when rebuilding.
Well, I just got the parts, so can't say anything reliable on chinese made parts.
The price was(is) Great! a boat load cheaper then the local store....humm.
springs fit perfectly, however, the springs I wanted are no longer being offered, could of had springs made but I went with the less$isMore theory. (more in my pocket)
The "white" nylon bushings I ordered would not fit into the equalizers, but the grey colored ones I had did fit perfectly, just a-hair difference in outer diameter.
The bolts fit perfectly as well.
It is always 10 times easier dealing with eTrailer then the local store, So I know eTrailer has put a lot of time into making it easy for their customers, Thanks!

Great replacement for a car hauling trailer built from a house trailer frame that had badly warn suspension parts. These suspensions worked perfectly.
