Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at the replacement U bolt for two inch wide square axles. This replacement U bolt acts as a part of a trailer suspension system. It's used with another U bolt, and a U bolt plate to secure one side of your axle to the leaf spring, which is mounted to your trailer's frame. Another U bolt and U bolt plate are sold separately and available at eTrailer.com if needed. This square bolt fits square axle beams. It's a zinc plated steel construction, it's heavy duty and corrosion resist, so it's great on boat or snowmobile trailers and with this part number you get one U bolt.
It is designed for two inch wide axles. We can tell that by taking a measure from inside edge to inside edge. So if we take that, that measures around 2 1/8 inches, so it's perfect for a two inch wide axle. The length measurement is taken from the bottom of the U to the end of the threads and that measures four inches long and the bolt size, start with the diameter is 7/16 of an inch, that's the diameter of each post right here. So the bolt size is 7/16 by 14.

I was looking for a pair of very special size U-bolts for a restoration project. I was having no luck at hardware stores or other sources on-line. I thought I was going to have to fabricate them from scratch until I came upon etrailer.com. They had what I needed. The products etrailer supplies are superior. The only confusing part is when I tried to track it provided a UPS tracking number, however, when it was delivered it came via Post Office so the tracking number never completed its routing foremat. No worries and no problem we got the items fine, but things got shifted in transit for some reason. thanks again!
i've made a steel Frame trailer with a wheel base the same as my golf cart. I needed u-bolts to hold the wooden box to the frame and Etrailer had the right size. They will work great holding it all together.
Great hardware just slightly larger than 2” square. It will work for what I need just may require some bending.
I used the roller to bolster a keel of a trailerable boat, using a crossbeam of only 2"x2". I ended up using it differently than it was intended, lying on top of the crossbeam instead of on its side, because it fit and because it will be more sturdy in that direction. The U-bolts look OK, but not heavily galvanized, hopefully they will be OK in saltwater. There were no nuts or washers with the U-bolt, my fault, but a surprise.

This component is made with high precision in that the bend angles are exact and the threads are of high quality allowing for finger tightening of nuts etc.
I needed a u bolt for 2 inch square tubing. My local trailer supply did not carry what I needed. etrailer did and it was shipped promptly and as advertised.
