I haven’t installed but Lori B is outstanding. Absolutely the best experience I have ever had finding offering and getting my parts. A few parts fell out of the box in shipping and she got them replaced and sent to me asap. She is the model customer service representative. Can’t even express how much she helps

See what our Experts say about this Redline Trailer Leaf Spring Suspension

  • Determining Proper Axle Spacing
There is not a recommended space between axles to achieve a higher load capacity. The best position for your axles is going to depend on the factors outlined in the attached diagram. Those weights and measurements are really going to be the deciding factor on what hanger kit you want; the Dexter Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit # HAP-158-258-02 for 42" spacing or kit # HAP-158-258-03 for 48" spacing.

  • Replacement Equalizer Suspension Kit For A 2012 Gatormade Flatbed Trailer
The closest option we have to your dimensions is going to be the Dexter Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for 2-1/2" Slipper Springs # HAP-158-258-03 that you were already looking, which comes with a 24-5/8" long equalizer. This would throw off your suspension so you'd have to change the length of your leaf springs a bit shorter to accommodate the increased size of the equalizer.

  • Hanger Kit For Tandem Axle Trailer With 2-1/2 Inch Slipper Springs & 10,000 lb Axles
There are a few different hanger kits for a trailer with tandem 10,000 lb general-duty Dexter axles, depending on the axle spacing you have. - 38" Axle Spacing: Dexter Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for 2-1/2" Slipper Springs # HAP-158-258-01 - 42-1/4" Axle Spacing: Dexter Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for 2-1/2" Slipper Springs # HAP-158-258-02 - 48-1/2" Axle Spacing: Dexter Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for 2-1/2" Slipper Springs # HAP-158-258-03

  • Tandem Axle Hanger Kit for 2-1/2 inch Wide Slipper Spring with 48-1/2 inch Axle Spacing
Since you have a 2-1/2 inch wide slipper spring setup and the axle spacing is 48-1/2 inches the easiest solution for a tandem axle hanger kit would be the part # HAP-158-258-03 which matches all of that perfectly. This does use a different equalizer than what you mentioned but would work great still.

  • Installation Kit for UG54FR Trailer Slipper Spring on a Tandem Axle Trailer
The 5-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Radius End for 10,000-lb Trailer Axles - 30-1/2" Long # UG54FR, is a slipper style spring. Double eye springs would have an eye on each end of the spring. To build a double axle trailer with these springs you will need one of two tandem axle hanger kits, depending on the spacing you need between the axles for the wheel and tire combination you plan on using. The Tandem Axle Hanger Kit, # HAP-158-258-02, will give you 42-1/4 inches on center between the axles...

  • Recommended Replacement Equalizer For A Texas Pride Triple Axle Trailer
The closest option we have available for to replace the equalizers on your Texas Pride triple axle trailer is the Equalizer for 3" Wide Slipper Springs # 13-107-7. It's 14-1/4" in length, has a 1-1/8" center bolt hole diameter, and fits slipper springs with a 1" diameter eyelet. This equalizer will give you a 38" axle spacing so I recommend double checking the measurements I have shown below along with the axle spacing on your trailer to confirm fitment. This equalizer comes in a quantity...

  • How to Determine if Dexter Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for 2-1/2 Slipper Springs Will Work
I can tell you how to determine that, but there isn't a specific fit for any trailer, including your Big Tex, for the Dexter Tandem-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for 2-1/2" Slipper Springs # HAP-158-258-03. Since you have 10,000 lb Dexter axles, you're set there, and you likely have 2-1/2 inch slipper springs (though you may want to measure their width just to be sure), so all you have to do is measure you axle spacing. To do this, simply measure from the center of one axle to the center of...

  • Axle Placement and Suspension System for 20,000 lb Bumper Pull Trailer
For your trailer, the axle placement will dictate the hanger placement as will whether you use double eye springs or slipper springs. When positioning a trailer axle or adding an additional axle, the key is to make sure that the axles are located in just the right position so that roughly 10 to 15 percent of the total trailer weight is placed on the tongue. For a heavy duty trailer like you reference I recommend using the slipper spring # DX65QR along with the Dexter Tandem-Axle Trailer...
