Suspension kit includes equalizers and hardware for attaching 4 leaf springs to the hangers on your trailer's frame. Works with 35" axle spacing. Built-in grease zerks for easy lubrication. Heavy-duty shackle straps ensure strength.Fit my trailer perfect. Make sure you measure correctly when ordering as there are 2 different kits. Every thing was correct and I cant believe how fast it got here with free shipping. The shackles are twice the thickness of my original shackles. Again great service and great product
I have purchased this kit for different trailers and it always works great. This time I had one grease fitting that broke off during shipping. Simply replaced it and moved on. I have this kit on two car haulers and wouldn’t hesitate to put it on a third.
Missing parts. Three of the 4 links are missing from the kit. There was also an extra bag open with additional bolts and hardware. Looks like it may have been previously opened and re packed in correctly.
This also is part of the order that I never recieved. We had to go and buy it locally at triple the price to complete our trailer so we could move cattle.
Dexter! This is a fantastic and easy to install upgrade for your trailer suspension. Grease zeros make lubrication super easy and Bronze bushings eliminate the plastic bushings.
The ability to lubricate regularly reduces wear to a minimum saving money in the long run.
I should have updated to this system two decades ago...
Far superior to the stamped out originals. Allow for quiet and smooth suspension articulation.
Fit up perfectly. Split the old nuts using a right angle grinder with a cutting wheel. Heated the spring enough to soften the plastic bushing and allow the bolt to be pounded out with a hammer. I used an 11/16 drill bit to remove rust and debris from spring end and used a c-clamp to press in the new bronze bushing. Everything else went together like the instructions said. Attached a before and after photo.
Fast service, very helpful and Quality parts
Installed easily and took trailer on 6200 mile vacation without issues.
These things are awesome and so is the customer service from the etrailer team.
The box came damaged and missing 1 small piece but a quick call to etrailer and they are sending the missing piece ASAP. Dexter just needs a better box for these heavy items.
They wear out just like the less expensive types. The hype for thier warranty is just that, Hype. When contacted about excessive wear with them, I was told that they are "wear Parts" What? I'll purchase the less expensive types in the future and just replace them as needed.
I installed RoadMaster slipper spring with shocks in November 2019 and I love it works great was an easy install should be a factory option. Install on my 2014 Heartland Big County 5th wheel no more bounce
The product looks very good and very heavy duty. I’m looking forward to putting it on in a couple of weeks. I did this to my last RV which was a triple axle and it made a world of difference as far as noise was concerned from the suspension etc. Once or twice a year I’ll be Grease the Zerk fittings no noise at all.
The heavy duty suspension kit was great. My only disappointment was that one equalizer didn’t have the grease zirk installed on it.
The company immediately sent me a new equalizer. I am very happy with their service and support.
Fit perfectly. The Dexter equalizer has longer than the stock one but wasn’t and issue. In fact it actually raised my cargo trailer about an inch. Love the Zerk fittings when it comes to maintenance. I only have one negative thing to say. Dexter should consider protecting the instructions a little better. Placing them in the bottom of the box with the parts on top is not a very good idea. It make for some difficult reading.
I was needing suspension parts for my camper and the guys at etrailer did a great job at helping me get them. They got to me very quickly as well. Thanks!
I think that was the best thing I could've done by changing out the suspension on my trailer .My trailer is a whole lot quieter to pull now.No problem yet. Good product .
2nd packaging worked much better with the extra box.
1st packaging was just the box the product came in, broke open, lost contents.
Customer service handled it well.
These were an exact fit and worked perfectly. Good quality along with grease zerks on every point are a big plus. I recommend this kit to friends.
Was a good fit but did not install until this spring. No worries do I have after replacing the system.
I wish i would have done this sooner. The factory parts didn’t accommodate easy grease, much better and set for a lifetime.
The expensive units did not hold up on a 5 ton dump trailer for me any better than a cheap set.
Great upgrade to your trailer suspension. The equalizers on my trailer were froze and would not move, I had to heat the bolts until the plastic bushings melted, then drove the bolts out. In doing so this left a fair amount of crud inside the spring eyes, I had access to an 11/16" hand reamer so I ran it through the spring eyes, then the bushings slid in with a nice snug fit, and in doing so I did not experience distortion inside the bushings like others have mentioned. I was disappointed to find that the equalizer center pivot bolt did not come with a new nut. The kit shows enough nuts for all the bolts but the nuts only fit the wet bolts. If the kit had included the two 9/16"-18 nuts I would have given 5 stars.
Havent installed yet but this is really beefy, and I love the fact that I can grease all the joints now. These brackets are more than double the thickness of OEM.
Ah.. now I can tow with confidence knowing my axles are once again equalizing and sharing the bumps as they should be. With the grease-able fittings I also know this is continue for years to come.
Feels very heavy duty, trailers well on the trips I've taken so far.
Installation was very easy, though to use the brass bushings in the springs I had to drive out the nylon bushing that came in the new springs. This was easy to do with bolt of the right size and the brass bushings -- just tap tap tap and the nylons were pushed out by the brass, all guided and kept aligned with the bolt.
