These things are awesome and so is the customer service from the etrailer team.
The box came damaged and missing 1 small piece but a quick call to etrailer and they are sending the missing piece ASAP. Dexter just needs a better box for these heavy items.

I ordered the Dexter Heavy Duty Suspension kit and the four shackle plates were missing from the kit. The missing plates were immediately shipped by etrailer when I notified them. The kit components are definitely higher quality than the suspension components used by the trailer manufacturer and the wet bolts, bronze bushings and beefy shackles will clearly outlast the stock pieces. After 12,000 miles of towing, the stock plastic bushings were worn through and the holes in the shackle plates were elongated. The installation was easy, but it does take effort to drive the new bushings into the spring eyes. Just be sure to be safe and use adequate blocking and/or jack stands to take the weight off the axles.

Dexter ez flex came to my door and was missing this part. I called 3x and they finally shipped it to me so I could get on the road. George J was very helpful and express mailed it to me. He was very helpful and I was able to complete my suspension upgrade. Suggestion for the future when packing Dexter ez flex for shipping , use more than one flimsy piece of tape on the top of the box. Now that the upgrade is complete and the shackle link is in place, I have driven 700 miles and the trailer rides very smooth. Thank you George J for your prompt service

This was a replacement part for the shackle back plate that was not drilled correctly and thus would not fit the male shackle part. Once I contacted etrailer, they handled the replacement procedure and got the part to me pronto. Once I received all the parts, the suspension went on flawlessly. A very good product.

- Shackle Straps Touching Frame With Road Armor EqualizersIf the shackles are touching the frame when using the Road Armor Shock Absorbing Equalizer Kit # LC696740 it does indicate the shackles are too long, and since you mentioned you had 3-1/8" shackles, you can use shorter ones which can help. I recommend going with 2-1/4" straps, the Replacement Shackle Strap for E-Z Flex Heavy Duty Rubber Suspension System # 018-024-01.
