Speaker 1: Today we're going to be taking a look at Dexter Axle's replacement shackle link with bolts, part number 018-026-05.This kit is going to provide replacement shackles and bolts for one shackle on your motor home or trailer. You can pick upas many as you need so our tandem axle here we required four total, so we have four kits installed.Each bolt has a grease inaudible 00:00:22 on the end so you can grease each one and this allows for a longer lasting, smoother and quieter operation. The lubrication provides a layer between the bolt and our suspension components that will ensure that we don't have excessive wear from metal on metal rubbing over time. It'll make your bushings last longer as well as have a smoother, quieter operation because you don't have any of that metal contact.Some measurements to help you determine if these are going to be the right ones for your suspension. The shackle dimensions are going to have an overall length of three and three quarter inch, and the distance from bolt holes from center to center is going to be two and a quarter inches.The bolt dimension is going to have an overall length of three and a quarter inch and a usable length of two and one quarter inch. The usable length is the smooth shaft where the overall length is the smooth shaft in addition with the head and threads of the bolt.These are going to be direct replacement for Dexter's heavy duty and easy flex suspension kits but with the measurements we provided, they'll also work with many other manufacturers.To replace your existing shackles, you just want to take your wheels off, you want to make sure you have your axle supported, you'll just remove the factory nuts, punch out the bolts and shackles off your original ones, reinsert your new Dexter ones, tighten them down, then you can grease them up, throw your wheel on, and you're good to go.Our customer Douglas had to say, "After installation, we had a trip from Maryland to the West Coast and back.

These were way better than what came on my trailer- the original ones were stretching and a couple had even split. Being greaseable should help make last even longer. Metal straps on end were twice the thickness. The only down fall is they did not come with the second strap and nuts.
This was a follow on purchase for the replacement of the stock equalizers, Lippert 13-104, on my Winnebago 2401RG. I replaced them with the E-Z Flex suspension Kit for double eye spring. For the spacing of the axles on my rig I used kit K71-652-00 which I got from etrailer. I contacted them because the axle spacing was a few inches shorter than specified. After installation we did a trip from Maryland to the West coast and back. The suspension system worked well. No squeaking or pops when backing in to a campsite and less things shifting about during travel.
Ordered the equa flex suspension system and the greaseable bolts and shackle kit that match the system. Rec'd the parts one day ahead of schedule. One of the prepared shackles with two greasable bolts was bent about 10 degrees from perpendicular. Contacted Jay at etrailer that same day and he was able to locate a replacement for me. There was no hassle or questioning my truthfulness! The replacement part is expected to be here shortly. Great service again as always. RV builder in Indiana was not able to get me the needed parts for 1 to 2 months.

The replacement shackle link with wet bolts kit is by far superior to what was on the suspension system of the RV. There are no more snap crackle & popping sounds coming from the suspension system of the RV. Now that the components can be greased.
Dexter shackle link and strap worked out well. High quality and every thing fit. One suggestion would be to offer the 2 1/4" version in a kit similar to the 31/4" inch kit, containing shackle link, strap and bushing. Other wise excellent product and service. Thank you. Steven D
This was a replacement part for a defective backing plate for the shackle. Well handled by etrailer. Once received, the rest of the suspension went on flawlessly.

Product was fine. It took too long to get shipped since I had also ordered a part not available. You need an option to ship separately if the delay is for a long period such as a month on this order to start with. Product works fine and is easy to install
