Today we're going to be taking a look at the CE Smith Round U-bolt. This replacement round U-bolt is going to act as a part of a trailer suspension system. It can be used with another U-bolt and U-bolt plates to secure one side of your axle to a leaf spring. Just keep in mind that these can be used for a variety of other applications as well. It's going to be made from a steel construction. It's been galvanized, so it's going to do a great job at resisting rust and corrosion, making it great or ideal for use on boat trailers, or anything that deals with a lot of moisture. You're going to get one U-bolt, and you're going to get the mounting hardware, which is going to include two nuts and two lock-washers. The product is made right here in the USA. If we take a measurement of the length, measuring from the bottom of this portion here to the end of the threaded portion, that's going to give us a measurement of 5 3/8 of an inch. The bolt size on the unit is going to be a 1/2 inch by 13. The first number represents the diameter, the second number represents the thread pitch. The threaded portion that's going to give us a length measurement of about 2 inches. The inner width, measuring the opening, that's going to give a measurement of 2 3/8 of an inch. The distance that we have between the bolts, center on center, that's going to give a measurement of 2 7/8 of an inch. That's going to do it for today's look at the CE Smith Round U-bolt..

Replaced my whole boat trailer axle so I replaced the hardware too. Being galvanized really helped me decide to go with these. No rust and a year later.

These are worth the price. Best quality for saltwater axle. Other brands are packaged as galvanized but actually are zinc ubolts with a galvanized plate. Spend a little more get these.

- Does Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Kit RM-2450 Come With U-BoltsU-bolts are not included with the Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers for Tandem Axle Trailers - 3,500 lb Axle # RM-2450. When installing this kit, what you can do is use your trailer's existing U-bolts, you will just want to check them to make sure that there is at least 1/2" of thread showing beyond the nut. This might slightly change the height of your trailer but it wouldn't be to a significant enough point that you'd notice it. It would do a great job helping the ride quality though so I would recommend it highly. Assuming you have the standard 2-3/8 inch diameter trailer axles you'd just need the u-bolts part # CE15286GA and you'd be set with the # RM-2450 and the # MR46ZR.
