This hanger bracket secures the slipper end of a slipper spring on your trailer's suspension. It is constructed of corrosion-resistant galvanized steel.

Features:

  • Heavy-duty bracket connects the slipper end of a slipper spring to your trailer
  • Bolt-on installation
    • Attaches to the underside of trailer frame
    • Does not include mounting hardware
  • 7-Gauge, galvanized steel construction is sturdy and resists corrosion
  • Made in the USA

Specs:

  • Application: rear of slipper spring
  • Overall dimensions: 4-1/4" long x 2-1/4" wide x 1-3/4" tall
  • Inside width: 1-7/8"
  • Quantity: 1 bracket

Install a new suspension without the hassle of welding a hanger to the bottom of your trailer. Bolt-on design attaches to the bottom of your trailer frame and provides a mounting point for the slipper end of your slipper spring.

Galvanized Steel

Galvanized steel parts are hot-dipped in zinc after being stamped. This creates a coating that is typically 3 mil to 5 mil thick. This thick, all-around coating allows galvanized steel products to provide years of use without rusting or corroding.

This was the exact replacement for my kayak trailer suspension. It’s been in use for a year — so far, so good!

by:

Fit right on installed perfect

by:

Parts came on time and as represented on the website. Looked all over for these brackets for my boat trailer. Your company was the only site I found with them.
Thanks, looking forward to doing business again.

The trailer axle and parts I purchased are working good. I had some modifications to make in my trailer springs but I knew that going in. The axle is much heavier in construction than the o.e.m axle so I should never have a problem with this one.

by:

Quality of the coating is very poor. Extremely rough with high peaks/pits. That make the slip spring not slide and keep the brackets from mounting flush. I will have to sand off the coating and get them powder coated or something to keep them from rusting. Highly disappointed. Etrailer and their support was fantastic as always with extremely fast shipping and answering my questions quickly.

by:

I had bought an old boat & trailer only to discover the trailer spring mount was damaged. I could not find an original bolt on replacement and did not have access to a welder. This bracket allowed me secure the spring and only had to drill 1 new mounting hole.

by:

I used etrailer during my restoration of my 1965 Travler Comet runabout boat. The trailer was in poor shape requiring all new suspension and hardware. etrailer had everything I needed. Easy to find and order. Great service and quick shipping.

by:

Evidently...UPS tracking was incorrect saying it went to New Hampshire! As it left Phoenix last night heading here...I've never seen that happen before! I know it's not your fault but I have had a lot of issues with UPS and refuse to use them if at all possible. The parts got here on time and I got it all installed. Went well. Now I got my water trailer back on the road ...without it we almost ran out of water at our home so it was critical to get it up again after I broke a spring!

by:

Very high quality parts.
Simple web site
that was very easy-to-use with great details of each part.
Their tracking system is second to none. Lets you know every single movement of the product from packing to delivery.

by:

I purchased this to allow me to lift/shim the slipper spring away from the trailer because the tire was hitting the fenders.

by:

Fast delivery time and the price was satisfactory. Thank you

by:

These brackets works perfectly allowed me to upgrade the carrying capacity of my trailer.

by:

Not much to say about these as they really don't do much. Fit well and aligned well on my trailer.

Again, not much to these. Still working fine with not much wear.

by:

Order was processed quickly, shipped the following day. Basic shipping is a bit slow, but the tracking feature is helpful. Parts arrived, installed on trailer and I'm back on the road.

by:

etrailer.com had the hard to locate parts that I needed and got it sent out the same day I ordered it. Delivery was fast which minimized the down time of my boat trailer. etrailer.com got me back on the water with the parts I needed.

by:

All Parts for trailer suspension fit perfectly. Shipping was lightening fast. Excellent products and service.

by:

Exactly what I needed. Great price and fast service. If you own a trailer this is the place when you need parts.

by:

Product arrived as scheduled and as described. We have ordered from etrailer a few times and never had any issues with their parts.

by:

Perfect, just perfect, and maybe the only place that carries this item. It makes all the difference in the world for my trailer to function to specifications.

by:

Order was lost in shipping. I got ahold of etrailer and they shipped another one right away. I’ve dealt with etrailer in the past and would highly recommend them. They have good products and Great customer service!

by:

Exactly what I was looking for. Second time customer, both times completely satisfied. Great prices, selection, and followup. I will be ordering from e-trailer again... Suggestion: how bout a coupon or incentive for return customers? Thanks again...

by:

Product is as viewed in ad was priced right and received order a day earlier than expected. Will definately use this company for future needs

  • Availability of Rear Slipper Spring Hanger for 1-3/4 inch Wide Spring
For a rear hanger designed for a 1-3/4 inch wide slipper spring we have the part # CE14017G. This hanger can be used with the slipper springs that have a flat rear side or if they have a hook style.

  • Do Slipper Spring Rear Hangers Require Bushings
Nope, the slipper spring rear hangers like the part # CE14017G do not require the use of a bushing between them and the spring. I attached a picture that shows how it will look when it is installed.

  • Installation Bolts for the CE Smith Hanger Bracket part # CE14017G
The mounting holes of the part # CE14017G and # CE140116G that you referenced are 7/16 inches in diameter. You would need to get bolts that would fit those hole sizes. Since applications can vary there isn't a set bolt size you would need. Your best option would be to find a bolt long enough for your application that would fit in the hole.

  • Are Galvanized Leaf Spring Hangers Available
If your trailer uses slipper springs, we do offer galvanized hangers. They are part # CE14016G front hangers, and # CE14017G for rear hangers. We also carry some galvanized shackle links. You can check them out at the attached link.

  • Replacing Hangers with 3 Mounting Holes on a 1990 Escort Boat Trailer
We do have a few hangers with 3 holes in the top, like parts # CE14016G and # CE14017G, but they are for 1-3/4" wide slipper springs. The former is 2-1/4" tall while the latter is 1-3/4" tall. If these match your current hangers then look no further! These are for bolt-on installations but all of our other hanger options are weld-on applications. Otherwise you may be better off to choosing a different hanger from the linked selection and have it welded by a professional to your trailer....

  • Recommended Slipper Spring and Hanger to Make Trailer Functional
We unfortunately do not have exactly the spring you are looking for. What I recommend is getting the 3-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Radius End for 1,500-lb Trailer Axles - 24-5/8" Long # SP-178275 and moving your rear hanger forward because you will be within 1/4 inch of where your axle would have been with this spring. Then you will be able to replace springs as needed and still support your sailboat properly for transport. If you want a bolt on slipper spring hanger for the rear, I recommend...

  • Hanger Compatibility For Bolt-On Application On 2016 Tracker Trailer
The Front/Center/Rear Hanger for Double-Eye Springs - 4-1/4" Tall - 9/16" Bolt Hole # E4139 is a weld on application. It hasn't been tested for bolt on installations, so I can't confirm it will hold up if you drilled it and bolted it in place. We have only 2 bolt-on hangers and they are for slipper springs, # CE14016G and # CE14017G.

  • Availability of Rear Slipper Spring Hanger that Bolts on for 1-3/4 inch Wide Spring
Sounds like you are looking for the part # CE14017G. This is a bolt on rear slipper spring hanger that would work well for you. It's also for springs that are 1-3/4 inches wide.

  • Can Trailer Suspension Hangers be Bolted On
The top holes you see in trailer suspension hangers such as Single-Axle Trailer Hanger Kit for Double-Eye Springs - 1-1/2" Front, 1-1/4" Rear Item # APS3 are for button welds and not bolts so these hangers should not be bolts on. The problem is that with a weld the hanger is fixed and cannot move. With bolts no matter how tight you make them the bolt will always be smaller than the holes in the hangers and given the forces applied could cause the hangers to shift and throw off the alignment...

  • Slipper Springs and Slipper Bracket for a 28.5 Bolt to Bolt Trailer Mount
I recommend using the 4-Leaf Slipper Spring w/ Flat End for 3,700-lb Trailer Axles - 30" Long Item # SP-040275, for your trailer leaf springs that are 28.5 from center of bolt to center of bolt with 3,000 lbs trailer. You will need a slipper spring hanger bracket # CE14017G. This bracket is a simple bolt on adapter that changes the rear mounting style for the leaf spring. I have linked a video to show you how the brackets work.

  • Hanger Dimension Recommendation for Installing Slipper Springs SP-179275
Yes, you would want the hangers used for installing the Slipper Springs part # SP-179275 that you referenced to be 23-1/8 inches apart when installing these springs on your trailer. I attached a review video for you to check out and a help article on slipper suspension systems as well.

  • Recommended Bolt On Hangers For Aluminum Frame Trailer
Since you've got an aluminum frame trailer, I understand why you're looking for a bolt on solution. The only available bolt on hangers we have available would be the # CE14017G and # CE14016G but they are designed for slipper springs and not double-eye springs like # e77SR you were looking at. If you went this route you would want to use something like the # SP-040275 as your springs, which have a 3700-lbs capacity. This would be the best solution available for your new aluminum trailer,...

  • Are there Bolt-On Hangers for Trailer Leaf Spring Suspension
We do have a couple of bolt-on spring hangers # CE14017G and # CE14016G but they are designed for slipper springs and not double-eye springs like # e77SR. Its not likely that professional welder would charge that much. You might be able to find one locally via an iron workers union near you. For u-bolts for your 1-1/2 inch square axle you can use # SP01-120 for 2 u-bolts and 4 nuts. For a u-bolt plate you can use # 115983. For a hanger kit you could use # APS1.
