Today, we're going to take a look at the Pro Series Square Jack with Footplate, part number PS1401600383. Now, Pro Series covers this jack with a limited one-year warranty. It has the static capacity of 5000 pounds and a lift capacity of 3000. It's a sidewind style jack where the handle is on the side and it has a nice grip to make operation of the jack smooth and easy. The outer tube is finished in a black paint. The inner tubes and the welded footplate are zinc plated to provide corrosion resistance for the steel underneath.
Now, we're going to go over a couple of measurements. First, we're going to measure the completely retracted height. From the top of the jack to the bottom of the footplate, we get 25.8 inches. Now, we have the same jack here. However, this one is completely extended except for the dropleg and we're going to take that same measurement, again, from the top of the jack all the way to the bottom of the footplate and we get 40.8 inches.
Now, for you to extend the dropleg all the way, we did add up with a total length of 54.4 inches. The difference between the retracted and the extended measurement is 15 inches and that's known as the jack's lift or travel. And that's it for our quick look at the Pro Series Square Jack with Footplate, part number PS1401600383.

I bought this jack to replace a crappy jack on a car hauler I was refurbishing. In addition to a great price, It's easy to weld into place, cranks easily under load (sidewinders are the most comfortable to use), has a drop-foot so that when fully retracted it has plenty of ground clearance and it has a grease zerk so disassembly to lubricate isn't necessary. I will absolutely buy another when needed.
Jack looks well-built and came reasonably quickly. It came by UPS, and the box look like it fell from the plane. But the jack seems ok.
SOLID, this jack is heavy and does a great job. Love the drop down feature so I don't have to crank as much as on a standard jack. Just pull the pin leg drops to ground the put the pin back in the nearest hole.
The Good - This jack is a solid piece of equipment. Cranks smooth and the footplate is 1/4 inch thick with rolled edges. Plus a drop leg at a great price - Primo.
The Bad - As seen in other jack reviews before my purchase - Packaging of such a heavy item needs attention. The box itself was so large that the jack assembly leaned from bottom corner to opposite top corner with a little extra room remaining.
Packing consisted of 2 pieces of brown wrapping paper, maybe a total of 15 feet by 12 inch, if taped back together. This packing method announced a damaged product upon delivery, three punctures to the box (foot plate, crank handle, top cap). The cap did not survive.
A piece of doubled over cardboard on each end of the jack may have prevented the damage altogether.
The Conclusion - E-Trailer has provided everything someone in this position (Damage return product) could possibly expect. Courteous dialogue and a tone of trying to make the situation right. Return postage included. I WILL definitely return once this transaction is behind us, and I WILL definitely suggest E-Trailer to friends and family.

These are great jacks at a great price I am changing out 3 more trailers to these jacks, I have already changed 3 trailers to these jacks.

These jacks are relatively heavy and as good as they are strong it amazes me that UPS can damage a box attempt to conceal the damage by taping it up IN MY DRIVEWAY prior to delivering the product. New driver I guess. The jack is a solid performer for my trailers I am veto pleased with its performance. I think however ETrailer should post a product repair video when it come to maintenance beyond the grease gun. Like handle replacement ETC. Good job though
I have a low car hauler trailer I use to transport my tractor from my home to my farm which is about 40 miles away. I wanted to move my trailer jack up toward the very front of the trailer to make room for the winch I am installing. (Don't want to leave the trailer at the farm because I use it more around here) So the winch is needed to pull the tractor onto the trailer in case it decides not to start.
I needed a heavier jack than the one I had. The Pro Series from etrailer fit the bill perfectly. And the price with shipping was $20.00 less than the best price from local dealers. The jacks themselves are of very high quality. They are used to crank up a slide in truck camper. The only thing we wish we had are longer leg inserts (chrome plated legs). It would work much better if so. We ordered the longest extended size we could find in your selection. Great product and great experience with your business, thanks for following up! Ryan

Just got it welded onto our trailer and works great so far, much better then the last one that was on it. It had a couple deep scratches in the jack when I took it out of the box but it is a trailer jack not to concerning.
trailer jack. Purchase two of them to attach to the rear of my 18' trailer for support to each side while loading equipment. Works as expected.
The jacks themselves look to be very good, and I am happy with them.
However the packaging was not done very well and the 3 jacks scratched each other up during transport.
Item is as described, it is very well built. I think it is much stronger than what I will ever use it for. Should last just as long if not longer than the trailer it is welded to.

After receiving the jack in good order I Have begun to assemble and
install them. they appear to be well constructed and sturdy. I compared the price with some Jacks at the local Farmers coop and these 5000# jacks were lower cost than their 2000# ones.So I believe These will serve my needs well.
Another great product that is easy to weld on to your trailer. The drop leg functions is a great time saver.
Excellent product. The biggest problem is that when they are shipped there is almost always damage. This time I bought ten and about half of them have the plastic dust cover on top broken or missing.
Great customer service. We received 1 unit with a broken cap and a replacement cap was shipped out right away.
