Jack works great

My horse trailer is 20 years old and I thought that overnight I'd aged 40 years when I could no longer crank the jack up or down! I looked on line after a 20 something friend suggested that the jack needed to be replaced. He helped me crank the old one down and thought that he'd hurt his back.

I ordered this Bulldog Square Jack on a Sunday afternoon. It was delivered to my trailer guy on Wednesday about noon. My guy swapped out my old jack for this one in about 2.5 hours. When I picked up my trailer, I tried the new jack and realized that once again, I was 64 years young!! It operates smooth as silk!!

by:

I also received this in a couple days. It is really a good strong
10000 lbs jack. I can’t wait to get it out on.

by:

Jack appears to be fine but packing could use some improvements.

by:

Quite possibly one of the best jacks I have ever used. I bought this jack to go on a 1993 S&H 6x20 stock trailer and it has performed great. One feature that is really nice is the grease zert on the front. I never understood why a lot of these jacks do not have a zert. The jack that this jack replaced did not have one and I am fairly certain that is the reasoned it failed. The other great thing about it is the spring and spring release handle. If you do not have a spring jack you should. No more squatting down in the mud to raise the jack stand leg for me. Just lower the jack, push the handle down with your foot, (left or right foot, it's ambidextrous so it doesn't care which) lock your trailer to the ball and you are off and running with no mud or grass stains on your knees! Also on a side note the service with etrailer is great. Same day shipping usually and if not it's the next day and will be there quickly. Great people too. Bottom line is I would recommend this product and company to anyone in need of a jack or other trailer parts/accessories.

I just installed this jack on a titan stock trailer. The old one broke and so far this one works good. It cranks easily and the spring return is nice. This new jack was not the same size as the old one but I made it work.

by:

My boyfriend put my jack on my horse trailer and I like it so much better than the original jack that came on my trailer. You guys are the best to work with. I ordered it online and received it within 3 days. Thank you again for the great customer service.

by:

Sturdy and reliable. I have 4 of these on a 20' 12,000lbs trailer and they are driven by hydraulic motors. They are cycled multiple times a day for 8 weeks during harvest season. So far so good.

e-tailer makes finding what you need at a good price easy. The website provides all the information you need, as well as phone support. Inventory selection is very good as is stock. Checkout is a breeze and the shipping is really quick. Best of any where we purchase from. I have purchased from e-tailer before and will continue to

by:

I Have been using it for a year without any problems.

by:

Just wanted to let you know my husband put my jack on and it works great.
He painted it to look like my trailer :)

by:

Quality jack for a great price, much better jack for my equipment trailer then the top crank one that came with it

by:

This is a replacement for the original jack that came with my trailer. I am hard on equipment as I build fences and have to drag across terraces and through stream crossings. I carry a skid steer, four wheelers and attachments. This jack is lower geared than the previous one on the trailer and is much easier to raise with weight still on the trailer...slower, but a great improvement. It's nice to be able to unhook without having to unload all the time!

by:

Cranks harder than any jack have ever used. Feels like gears are in bind.

by:

We have been propping up the goose neck flatbed for years. The Bulldog hitch was easily installed, makes hooking up and dropping our trailer a lot easier and safer, and seems better built than the original. Wish we had done this a long time ago!

by:

Great Jack but hard to get it to catch the latch when taking trailer off.

by:

Not the first time I have ordered these jacks here .. Always Fast on the shipping ... The jacks are the great quality and the heavy duty that Bulldog normally puts out..
etrailer.com just make the order process so easy and convenient... Lots of Thanks for that..

by:

etrailer was the cheapest I could find for my Bulldog brand trailer jack. The jack weighed 64 lbs. and they gave me free shipping, which was totally unexpected. I will definitely look to etrailer first for my future trailer part needs.

by:

This was a replacement jack for a flat bed trailer. Installed it and it was just like the old one. Very happy with the jack, I recommend it highly.

by:

The jack was exactly what I was needing. It will be perfect for my trailer. It will carry the load, the drop leg is easy to operate. My old jack was heavy duty but not heavy enough, PROBLEM SOLVED!!

by:

Heavy duty, well-built jack. I decided to upgrade my trailer jack for poor performance and after searching the net I came across a video from etrailer describing the features of the Bulldog Square Jack # BD182804. It has every feature you need and some. With the upgrade, I must mention there was welding involved. I first confirmed there was structural support where the jack was to be mounted. I disassembled the jack per the video, located and welded the housing in place, reassembled the jack and lubed with the same grease I use for my trailer axles. It was that easy.

  • Outer Tube Dimensions of the Bulldog Square Jack part # BD182700

  • Does Bulldog 12.5K Square Trailer Jack Have to be Welded On
One option would be to weld a bracket to Bulldog jack # BD182700 and then bolt the whole thing to the trailer. That way you are not welding steel to aluminum. Otherwise, if you choose to go with welding the jack straight to the trailer frame I recommend having a professional welder do it because welding to aluminum is tricky and takes experience. If you weld a steel bracket to the steel jack tube the bracket would have to be fabricated since there isn't a bracket made for this purpose.

  • Weight Capacities for the Bulldog Jack part # BD182700
The two capacities for the Bulldog Jack part # BD182700 are static load (held in place) of 25k and lifting capacity of 12,500 lbs. For most trailer applications the lifting capacity is the most relevant.

  • Recommendations for Jacking Up a Trailer with Bulldog Landing Gear Jacks on Uneven Terrain
Bulldog does not offer a pivoting foot plate that would install onto the Bulldog Square Jack # BD182700. The best recommendation I could give would be to wait till you are on level ground to jack your trailer up and to make sure you have the wheels of the trailer chocked with something like the part # HT38511. A large block of wood could help as well. You might also be interested in a crank for this jack like part # BD015181.

  • Replacement Side Cranking 12K Bulldog Square Trailer Jack Leg
A drop leg on a jack will just be held to the inner leg with a pin such as # BD70129201. It sounds like the inner leg on your jack is damaged. That part is not available but you can replace the hole leg. We have 1 Bulldog square, side crank jack rated for 12,500 pounds and it is # BD182700.

  • Availability of Replacement Inner Drop Leg for Bulldog Square Jack # BD182700
I reached out to my contact at Bulldog and she said the drop leg for the Bulldog Square Jack # BD182700 is not available as a replacement part. We do not currently have any other brand drop legs that could work as a replacement either so your only option at this point if the leg is damaged is to replace the entire unit.

  • Which Jack Goes With Bulldog Square Jack BD183749 To Be Used As Landing Gear?
We have exactly what you are looking for. The correct jack to pair with the Bulldog 2-Speed Square Jack - Drop Leg w/ Non-Spring Return - 26" Lift - 25,000 lbs # BD183749 you were looking at is the Bulldog Square Jack - Drop Leg w/ Non-Spring Return - Sidewind - 26" Lift - 12,500 lbs # BD182700. Both jacks have the same 12500lb lift capacity and 25000lb static capacity. Now you will also need a cross shaft like the 72-3/4" Long # BDCS730300, and a crank handle # BD701466. If you find...

  • Choosing Spring Return Or Non-Spring Return and Handle Recommendation For Bulldog Square Jack
The Replacement Bulldog Sidewind Jack Crank Assembly # BD015181 is recommended for the Bulldog Square Jack - Drop Leg w/ Spring Return # BD182701. Both jacks are very reliable and rebuildable if you should have issues with the jacks. I do prefer the Bulldog Square Jack - Drop Leg w/ Spring Return # BD182701 over the Bulldog Square Jack - Drop Leg w/ Non-Spring Return # BD182700 as it is much easier to push down on the spring return jack when dropping the trailer than it is to bend down...

  • Landing Gear Jacks for a Keystone Cougar 5th Wheel Trailer
Bulldog square weld-on jack # BD182700 could potentially be used on a 5th wheel trailer but it really is meant for trailers with exposed frames and doesn't have stops on the outer tube for brackets like landing gear jacks have. If you have brackets already then you would just need to weld on some stops to the outer tube and the heights needed. For a tandem, manual landing gear set you could use # RVLG-8HDL which is both legs with the stops already on them, brackets, handle, and connecting rod.

  • Type of Grease Used for the Bulldog Side Wind Jack Assembly
There isn't necessarily any specific grease to use in the Bulldog Side Wind Jack Assembly # BD182700. You can use the LubriMatic Disc/Drum Brake and Wheel Bearing Grease # L11465 along with the LubriMatic Professional Pistol Grease Gun # L30416. You can find a typical grease and grease gun at your local hardware store as well.

The Ram 14K jacks don't have a replacement rod and nut available like the 12K # TJD-12000-RODNUT and are no longer available in that capacity.
