Fits perfectly, instructions stated to remove the tail lights but that was not necessary. All other portions of the installation were straightforward.
Very nice quality, instructions are a bit off but still helped a lot.
1. The installation instructions are fine, a few minor errors (13mm vs 15mm socket)
2. The fit to the car body was excellent, no issues. The cross tube is hidden by the bumper facia.
3. The hitch receiver protrudes almost 2" past the bumper facia. This is nothing like my previous Draw-Tite products. A comparable hitch on VW Tiguan (OEM or aftermarket) is flush or recessed with the facia. The OEM ID.4 hitch is actually recessed a bit. The picture below shows the fitment. Is this a design mistake? Please consider reducing receiver length by 1-2" and the product would be much better.

Thank you for your feedback. This hitch receiver may sit differently than previous hitch receivers you have installed. This receiver is not recessed with the bumper fascia unfortunately.
I only use it lightly; it carries a bike rack that holds one e-bike. I installed it myself following a YouTube video. Perfect so far.
Hitch was as ordered. I had a VW ID.4 AWD ordered which comes with a factory hitch installed but that vehicle is late to the US market so a bought an ID.4 RWD which had no hitch. This hitch makes my car complete.

Draw-tite hitch has been great. For those who use a bayonet hitch for bike racks you can add an extension to hitch so the rear hatch door clears a bike on the rack. Thats a lot easier than tilting the rack loaded with bikes.
Install went great, fits well. Wish the bolts included were Grade 12.9 to match the OE hardware. The length is perfect to allow my bike racks to not interfere with the rear of the vehicle.
Note that the vehicle safety systems may activate in reverse when bikes are on the rack bringing the car to an abrupt halt. The Vehicle Owners manual describes a procedure for temporarily deactivating this when required.
Note that the hitch arrived with chipped paint and required repainting before installation.

The Hitch Fits perfectly. Better than factory as its a 2 inch receiver.
Steven B helped by getting me credited for missing hardware. As it was installed we found directions and hardware pack missing from sealed package.We got VW bolts and was credited immediately by customer service. No problem. Hitch came 2 weeks early unexpectedly.
Everything was fixed properly as mentioned in the procedure . Thanks to providing these parts which helpful to tow anything
This hitch receiver is sturdy bit it sticks out a couple of inches adding to vehicle length; the hole for the hitch pin lines up with the rearmost part of the bumper.
It arrived with chipped finish on the corners which won't be visible but also had gouges on the most visible part of the receiver despite the plastic protector which was torn through.
This was pretty easy to install and is very functional. I already towed a 1000 lb trailer with it once. You DO have to cut the plastic bumper cover for it to fit on the 2021 ID.4 pro. Maybe a 1x4 inch cut, not noticeable. I am giving it 4/5 because The receptacle cover is welded a bit crooked. This does not affect the function so far as I can tell but my wife thinks it looks silly.
Hitch construction looks good, and well built, but the packaging left a bit to be desired. Previous hitches I purchased from etrailer where well secured in the box. This one was left loose, and had rattled around, poked a few holes, and chipped off the paint in the few areas. Now I have to go buy some spray paint to patch it up.
Very fast delivery! I got the trailer hitch receiver on October 15 even though the expected delivery wasn't due until some time in November.
Easy to install. Fits perfectly on the car. The shipping box is a little scary for the delivery person. Hard metal poking out of the box. Hitch not bent or damaged though.
The hitch works exactly as expected. I can now transport my (sometimes muddy) bike outside the car (yay). My 1-star ding was from chips on the paint as others have reported, but they are minor.

Still working great, can carry up to 4 bikes on a platform that is easier to load and unload than other racks I have used.
