Hitch receiver tube is designed to be very close to bottom of fascia. Trimming of the fascia may be needed to provide proper clearance for the receiver tube. No drilling through vehicle frame required for installation , Access holes may need to be enlarged by filing or rotary tool

Great shipping/receiving experience. Tough as nails product and the vehicle-specific install video was most excellent. Mama and the 12 yr old had it installed in an hour. There were some “dust in eyes” learning moments- wear safety glasses, and a few lifting heavy stuff while needing to finely maneuver it, but the bonding that took place is almost as great as loading the bike trailer into this beauty and shredding trails together!
So happy to have found this product and this company.
U-haul strung me around for weeks before claiming there was no such thing and your only option is dealership.
VW dealership wanted $1200 just for this part.
The hitch was a little heavy for me to install myself but my mechanic was happy to install for $50. He mentioned that the hitch I had purchased was the sturdiest and most well built trailer hitch he had seen.
It also fits perfectly under the bumper and there was no need to cut bumper which uhaul had claimed they would have to do.

Packaging could be a little better and ergonomically sound. The hitch broke through the box in places and the paint was scratched/rubbed off.

Great product , it was a harder to install than figured took about 4 hours to mount it to the car , but otherwise it looks and does great
Ordered on Tuesday, got it on Saturday. Installed by myself with the help of a floor jack and the install was complete in 30 minutes. After enlarging the chassis hole to fit the carriage bolt, the hardest part was fishing the bolt into their locations. Once that was in, the rest of the install went 1 - 2 -3. My only complaint is the the reach of the hitch is a bit short. It is about 5" from the edge of the bumper to the hitch
I ordered this hitch for my 2018 Volkswagen Atlas and it arrived quickly.
There was a small scrape on the hitch that likely occurred during shipping where some paint was missing, but it didn't affect the look or functionality.
The hitch was easy to install following the provided instructions and I love the fact that installing it did not involve cutting away any plastic from my vehicle. Lots of alternative hitches required some of the plastic underneath the bumper to be cut in order to fit the hitch. The most difficult aspect was using the torque wrench to tighten down the bolts due to the lack of space under my vehicle.
The hitch was purchased to support a bike rack, but I haven't purchased the rack yet, so I can't speak to it's long term functionality. However, it appears to be very solidly made and I have no worries that it will work as designed.

Had it installed in 30 mins or so. Looks good, almost like it came factory. The hardest part was fishing the bolts thru the frame. The price was 25% of what VW would if charged me. I haven’t towed anything yet but I’m pretty happy with the appearance and installation.
Great hitch for the price! It fits 2021 VW Atlas S, but required cutting off a bit of under bumper in the center.

The box arrived wide open and destroyed. Powder coating on the hitch looks as though it has been installed once before and scratched up. I understand it's a hitch and we'll get scratched when I own it. I do have a bag of parts but I'm unsure if I received everything considering the entire box was wide open when it arrived on my front doorstep .
Hitch fit excellent took under an hour to install myself just put a binder strap on one side to hold it up while starting the bolts on opposite side

This hitch does not fit 2021 Atlas. The videos make it seems so simple to install and that is what I was hoping for. The video shows the hitch sliding right up and bolting in. Nope. The rear bumper is in the way and I cannot lift it up to install it.

Thank you for the review! Sometimes a hitch can become flexed in shipping and it sounds like that is what happened here. I attached a link to some ways you can straighten out a hitch.

I bought this trailer hitch receiver for my bike rack, I travel with my bike for competitions. I have had no issues with this receiver and I don't expect to. It is sturdy, well built and easy to use. I would recommend this hitch receiver.
Great customer service from etrailer. Ordered a hitch for my 2018 Atlas, when it arrived, the box had taken a minor beating and it had number of dings in the paint finish. Spoke with Julie at etrailer - sent me a prepaid return label and shipped out a replacement hitch that same day. I received it 4 days later. Kudos to Julie and etrailer for great customer service !!!
After reading reviews, and doing a little research, I decided to get the Draw-Tite hitch for my wife's 2019 VW Atlas. E-trailer shipped it quickly, and I had the hitch in a couple of days. After watching the installation video on the E-trailer site, I installed the hitch by myself in about 30-40 minutes. If I had someone to help me, I could have installed it faster. I would recommend a second pair of strong hands, but I was able to utilize a floor jack to get the job done. Installation was straight forward, and the hitch fits the Atlas perfectly! Thanks to E-trailer for a great match to my vehicle, quality installation videos, and the best price around!!!
Easy to install on my 2018 VW Atlas RLine it looks great & is sturdy! One would never know it was not OEM.
This was simple, not much skill required. Exactly as they show in the video. 2 small car ramps is all you need. Just a little filing on the existing holes and the bolts pull thru no problem. I did it by myself using a jack and small stand to get hitch into position for bolts. It took me about an hour. 20min install with help
