Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

East to install.Looks good.

by:

Excellent quality, good service, arrived in just two days. Perfect fit, we are extremely pleased with the quality of this hidden hitch.

by:

Not happy with the fit. The socket is about 2 inches below the bumper. The Toyota ones fit better. Not that easy to put on.I would not call it a hidden hitch.

by:

Hidden Hitch arrived in excellent condition. It took longer than 1/2 hour to install, but my buddy and I decided not to take the bumper off my 2005 Toyota Tacoma, but to just rather loosen those bolts holding the bumper to the frame. Harder to install the Hidden Hitch this way, but easier for us in the long run.

by:

hidden hitch, toyota wiring harness and flat four bracket. Products got here quickly and after watching the videos and reading instructions we were able to install all the products with ease on my 2012 Toyota Tacoma.

Installed on a 2009 Toyota Tacoma Access Cab, SR5, V6, 4WD.

I received my Hidden Hitch 5 business days after I ordered. Very fast in my book. The directions were very clear and the hitch was very easy to install. I did the install by myself, so it took be about 15-20 minutes longer than the 40ish the directions said. The hardest part was sliding the hitch up between the loosened bumper bracket and the frame. I had to hold it up in one arm and position and tighten the bolts with the other. No drilling required.

The hitch itself is amazing looking. I actually had U-Haul install a hitch for me, then I had them un-install it and refund my money. They told me it was going to be hidden but it wasn't at all. The entire lower cross bar was visible under the bumper. With this hitch I have to bend down and only then can I see the very bottom edge of the cross bar.

It arrived in pretty good shape. One corner of the hitch had punctured the cardboard box and scraped some of the paint off on one of the edges. I'm not worried about it but some foam in the box might prevent this from happening again.

I'm very happy with the quality and with e-trailer. They upgraded my shipping for free and have had excellent email communication from the get go. Good job!! I will definitely use e-trailer again!!

I was able to install this with the help of my 12 year old son with ease. The fit and finish are perfect, and the video made the included written instructions unnecessary.

The only thing I forgot to order was the: Mounting Bracket for 4 Way Flat Connectors, (http://www.etrailer.com/p-18144.html) to complete the overall installation of the wiring harness and make the entire job complete.

I would not hesitate to recommend the Hidden Hitch and etrailer to a friend.

The hitch was installed with out any problems.

Great product for our brand new 2011 Toyota Tacoma. Worked perfectly.

Was easy to install and a perfect fit. Looks very good on my truck.

by:

Easy to install, but you really need 2 people. Took about 30 minutes. The hitch is truly hidden. Very satisfied.

by:

Speed of delivery exceeded my expectations. Product fit perfect. My son will tow a boat this weekend.

by:

Product arrived in good shape and installation was exactly like the video. No issues. The video was very helpfull.

2007 ToyotaTacoma

Hitch for 2007 Tacoma D-cabStrong and well made, installation took several hours but well worth the time. This was due to re-aligning the bumber after loosening the bolts as required. Well designed and barely seen from behind truck.

by:

Excellent web site with accurate info..Fast shipping and easy install with everything fitting perfect..Would highly recommend..

by:

I can't say much for the hitch itself, as I haven't used it to tow anything just yet. But the installation was easy enough, and the video from etrailer.com was very helpful!

by:
2012 ToyotaTacoma

This product was delivered promptly and I was pleased with the quality and instructions for installation. Great product!

On top of the excellent customer service, this hitch installs without any hiccups, and all of the holes line up perfectly. Great simple product, and again, great customer service and fast shipping.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2014 Toyota Tacoma
Both the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch # 13323 and the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch # 75236 would work well for you. These Class III trailer hitches have a 2 inch receiver, 5,000 pound max towing weight and 500 pound max tongue weight. For installation, both hitches require the bumper brackets to be loosed or removed. I would go with the Curt trailer hitch, as it is more economically friendly than Draw-Tite. The trailer hitch will bolt into existing weld nuts on your truck's frame....

  • What is the Towing Capacity of 2013 Toyota Tacoma TRD and Hitch Recommendation
I looked up your 2013 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport and everything I found says that you have a 6,400 lb towing capacity. That would be more than enough for your 1984 Stingray that weighs 2,050 lbs. If you were in need of a trailer hitch the Draw Tite hitch part # 75236 is a confirmed fit. It's capacities are lower though at 5,000 lbs total trailer weight. For wiring you would then want the part # 118496. If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit #...

  • Recommended Ball Mount For 2018 Forest River Wolf Pup 18to Travel Trailer
For your 2018 Forest River Wolf Pup 18to travel trailer, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 5" Drop, 5-1/2" Rise - 10K - Black # BWTS10037B. This ball mount will give you the adjustability to tow your travel trailer level and will give you two hitch ball size options that are integrated. You will have a 2 inch option and a 2-5/16 inch diameter option, one of which will fit your trailer. Another really nice feature of this ball mount is the stowable feature. When...

  • Does Trailer Hitch that Fits Hyundai Tucson also Fit Kia Sportage
Hey Russell, it does look like you ordered the Draw Tite part # 75236 from us but it's actually for 2005-2015 Toyota Tacomas so what I think you are referring to is the Curt # C94WR that you ordered that does fit: 2023 - 2025 Kia Sportage 2022 - 2025 Hyundai Tucson Does that sound right? If you want replacement hardware for either hitch what you need is the part # RHK.

  • Will Swagman Semi Trailer Hitch Mount Bike Rack Fit a 2006 Toyota Tacoma
The trailer hitch you mentioned, 51146, has the same pin hole to rear bumper measurements as Draw-Tite hitch # 75236. When we installed the hitch on a 2007 Toyota Tacoma the bumper clearance measurement was 4 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole. It will be very close to that on your 2006 Tacoma with hitch 51146 installed. On the Swagman Semi, # S64686, it measures 12 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the nearest part of the carrier when in the down position. When...

  • Hitch Recommendation for a 2011 Toyota Tacoma
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch # 75236 used to be made in the USA, but Draw Tite has recently moved it's manufacturing plant to Mexico. This is the correct hitch for your 2011 Toyota Tacoma though. For ball mounts I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag. For trailer wiring you would want the part # 118496.

  • Recommended Replacement Trailer Hitch Receiver For A 2008 Toyota Tacoma
The only compatible Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver for a 2008 Toyota Tacoma is the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75236, which excludes X-Runner models. If you have a regular Tacoma then you'd be fine using that hitch. If you do have an X-Runner model then I'd recommend going with the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98850, which is a fit for both the X-Runner and regular models. I also prefer the matte black paint of this hitch over the high gloss of the # 75236 since...

  • Width of Trailer Hitch Receivers for 2005 Toyota Tacoma
There are three trailer hitch receivers that are fits for a 2005 Toyota Tacoma, and according to the manufacturers, from outside-to-outside at the widest points the hitches were approximately 38-1/2 inches wide. That would be the part of the hitch that attaches to the outside of the frame rail, but as you can see from the cut out of the installation instructions, there is a flange on the inside which is about 1/2 inch from the sides. I believe this may be what you were referring to by...

  • Comparing Draw Tite and Curt Hitch for 2006 Toyota Tacoma
Between the Draw Tite # 75236 and the Curt # 13323 there isn't a significant difference in ground clearance. They both fit right up to the bottom of the rear bumper. Overall I would go with the Curt though. We have found that typically the quality control is a bit tighter on the Curt hitches and the powdercoat is a little more resilient.

I reached out to the manufacturer who told me the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver # E98850 was tapered at the brackets but at its widest point was approximately 38-1/2 inches. The same is true of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13323. Both of these hitches fit a 2006 Toyota Tacoma, as will the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75236. • How Much Can a 2014 Toyota Tacoma Tow with the Bumper
The towing capacity of the bumper on your 2014 Toyota Tacoma assuming you have the cutout will vary from 3,300 - 3,500 lbs depending on options. I advise you to take a look starting at page 228 of your owner's manual to see these options. Therefore, so long as your jon boat does not exceed the above then you will be good to go. You'll have to get underneath the rear of the truck and look at how the hitch is attached to the rear truck frame. It's very easy for them to get bent in to make them seem to small too.
