  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2014 Toyota Tacoma
Both the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch # 13323 and the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch # 75236 would work well for you. These Class III trailer hitches have a 2 inch receiver, 5,000 pound max towing weight and 500 pound max tongue weight. For installation, both hitches require the bumper brackets to be loosed or removed. I would go with the Curt trailer hitch, as it is more economically friendly than Draw-Tite. The trailer hitch will bolt into existing weld nuts on your truck's frame....

  • Distance Between Flanges of Curt Hitch that Fits 2012 Toyota Tacoma
Most likely the Curt hitch part # 13323 that you tried to install was bent in shipping as that hitch is a fit for your vehicle and unfortunately hitches do sometimes get bent in shipping. We see this pretty often and would explain why the flanges of the hitch you tried were 5/8 of an inch to close together. The correct distance is 37-5/8 inches like what you have. Normally we recommend applying controlled force to bend the hitch back as long as you don't see any signs of fatigue in the...

  • Parts Needed to Install a 7-way Trailer Connector and Tow a Trailer with a 2009 Toyota Tacoma
Yes, you can install a 7-way trailer connector on your 2009 Toyota Tacoma. There's a couple of options depending on your trailer. First you're going to need to start with a 4-way flat connector like you've already found. I suggest the Curt # C55513 which plugs into your truck's wiring either behind the taillights or the rear bumper. Once you have the 4-way, if your trailer does not have brakes you can use an adapter, # 37185, to go from the 4-way to provide a 7-way. However, installing...

  • Recommended Hitch for a 2014 Toyota Tacoma w/out a Factory Hitch
The etrailer Hitch item # e98850 you were looking at, is custom fit so the holes will line up on your 2014 Toyota Tacoma if you do not have a factory hitch installed. This hitch does include all of the necessary mounting hardware to complete the installation. If you have the factory hitch it must be removed and the holes will not line up. All of the aftermarket hitches for the 2014 Toyota Tacoma are the same way. As far as a video goes we only have a video of the Curt item # 13323 being...

  • Will the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch # 13323 Fit a 2007 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner
Yes, the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch, # 13323, will fit on your 2007 Toyota Tacoma PreRunner. This hitch fits all models of the 2007 Tacoma. We had a customer install this hitch on their PreRunner model last month and commented that it works great. They did add that an extra set of hands would help raising the hitch into position. If you plan on doing some towing, I have attached a help article that will help you choose the correct ball mount for the trailer you intend to tow. If you...

  • What Parts Needed to Equip 2014 Toyota Tacoma to Tow Trailer With Electric Brakes
The items needed to tow a trailer with electric brakes include the hitch, ball mount and hitch ball (that you already have), wiring harness, and brake controller with install kit. The linked articles on towing and brake controllers will give you some useful detail on these items and on towing techniques. For a hitch I suggest the Curt 2-inch Class III hitch # 13323; this will fit both X-Runner and non-X-Runner models. The installation instructions are attached along with a video and two...

Yes, the Curt Hitch part # 13323 that you referenced has been confirmed to fit all models of the 2015 Toyota Tacoma so it would fit yours. I attached an install video for this product for you to check out as well. For trailer wiring you would want the part # C55513. For ball mounts I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a carrying bag.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2009 Toyota Tacoma
I have a much better solution for you than the Curt Hitch part # E-3S. You would want to go with a custom fit hitch instead like the part # 13323 as it will bolt directly to the frame and provide you with a much stonger and easier to install hitch than the # E-3S that would require you to use all 4 mouning holes. I attached an install video for you to check out as well. If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts;...

  • Trailer Hitch and Towing Equipment for a 2013 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner
For a 2013 Toyota Tacoma Prerunner, I'd recommend the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch, part # 13323. The hitch has a 5000 lb capacity, and is pretty simple to install. I've linked you to the installation instructions as well as to an install video that you might find helpful. The # 37042 hitch you referred to has been discontinued, but when it was available it was a fit for a first generation (2001-2007 model years). It would not be a fit for your Tacoma. • Comparing Draw Tite and Curt Hitch for 2006 Toyota Tacoma
Between the Draw Tite # 75236 and the Curt # 13323 there isn't a significant difference in ground clearance. They both fit right up to the bottom of the rear bumper. Overall I would go with the Curt though. We have found that typically the quality control is a bit tighter on the Curt hitches and the powdercoat is a little more resilient.

  • Recommended Hitch and Weight Distribution for 2007 Toyota Tacoma Towing 3500 lb Pop-Up Camper
I did some research on the Coleman Evolution, and it appears that a typical weight distribution system would work just fine with the layout of the tongue. If you have propane bottles on your pop-up, they might interfere with the chain hangers that fit around the top of the trailer frame. You could use a bolt-on hanger, part # RP58305 if this is the case. Due to the additional leverage that a weight distribution hitch places on the receiver, a bumper mounted receiver like # E-3S is NOT...

  • Width of Trailer Hitch Receivers for 2005 Toyota Tacoma
There are three trailer hitch receivers that are fits for a 2005 Toyota Tacoma, and according to the manufacturers, from outside-to-outside at the widest points the hitches were approximately 38-1/2 inches wide. That would be the part of the hitch that attaches to the outside of the frame rail, but as you can see from the cut out of the installation instructions, there is a flange on the inside which is about 1/2 inch from the sides. I believe this may be what you were referring to by...

The aftermarket hitches for a 2011 Toyota Tacoma don't fit alongside the factory installed hitch; some trucks have hitches you can add on to OEM hitches that fit underneath the original. So I can't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to replace your OEM hitch with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13323. We did have one customer (see below cut out) mention replacing their OEM hitch, and they mentioned taking a look at the bumper brackets, which are required to install the # 13323....

The Curt # 31313 is a fit for the front of a 2005-2014 Toyota Tacoma only and would not fit the rear of the vehicle. For a rear receiver, I would recommend the Curt Class III receiver, part # 13323. Yes, we offer two options in a 2-inch Class III custom-fit hitch for your 2014 Toyota Tacoma, the Draw-Tite # 75236 and the Curt # 13323. Both share identical weight ratings and a common no-drill installation process, which is shown in the linked video. I recommend the Draw-Tite since it currently offers a lower price. For a 4-pole wiring harness, if needed, I suggest the Tekonsha custom-fit plug-and-play harness # 118496. An install video for this is included too.

  • Hitch and Thule Goalpost Recommendation for a 2008 Toyota Tacoma
I would recommend the Curt Hitch part # 13323. This is the most popular hitch we carry that is confirmed to fit the 2008 Toyota Tacoma. Even though the capacity is more than you need it would be your best option and it would give you greater flexibility for in the future if you were to want to tow a trailer. The bumper style hitches are universal and might require some modification to fit your bumper and they have much less capacity so the custom fit # 13323 would be a better choice. I...

The Curt hitch part # 13323 is not listed as a fit for your 2010 Toyota Tacoma as it does not fit the versions of the truck that have the OEM hitch. That being said I don't see why it would match up to the frame now that the OEM hitch is gone. I would be a little worried that the frame rusted badly as well where this would need to install.
