  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2014 Toyota Tacoma
Both the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch # 13323 and the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch # 75236 would work well for you. These Class III trailer hitches have a 2 inch receiver, 5,000 pound max towing weight and 500 pound max tongue weight. For installation, both hitches require the bumper brackets to be loosed or removed. I would go with the Curt trailer hitch, as it is more economically friendly than Draw-Tite. The trailer hitch will bolt into existing weld nuts on your truck's frame....

  • Distance Between Flanges of Curt Hitch that Fits 2012 Toyota Tacoma
Most likely the Curt hitch part # 13323 that you tried to install was bent in shipping as that hitch is a fit for your vehicle and unfortunately hitches do sometimes get bent in shipping. We see this pretty often and would explain why the flanges of the hitch you tried were 5/8 of an inch to close together. The correct distance is 37-5/8 inches like what you have. Normally we recommend applying controlled force to bend the hitch back as long as you don't see any signs of fatigue in the...

  • Parts Needed to Install a 7-way Trailer Connector and Tow a Trailer with a 2009 Toyota Tacoma
Yes, you can install a 7-way trailer connector on your 2009 Toyota Tacoma. There's a couple of options depending on your trailer. First you're going to need to start with a 4-way flat connector like you've already found. I suggest the Curt # C55513 which plugs into your truck's wiring either behind the taillights or the rear bumper. Once you have the 4-way, if your trailer does not have brakes you can use an adapter, # 37185, to go from the 4-way to provide a 7-way. However, installing...

  • Recommended Hitch for a 2014 Toyota Tacoma w/out a Factory Hitch
The etrailer Hitch item # e98850 you were looking at, is custom fit so the holes will line up on your 2014 Toyota Tacoma if you do not have a factory hitch installed. This hitch does include all of the necessary mounting hardware to complete the installation. If you have the factory hitch it must be removed and the holes will not line up. All of the aftermarket hitches for the 2014 Toyota Tacoma are the same way. As far as a video goes we only have a video of the Curt item # 13323 being...

  • Hitch and Thule Goalpost Recommendation for a 2008 Toyota Tacoma
I would recommend the Curt Hitch part # 13323. This is the most popular hitch we carry that is confirmed to fit the 2008 Toyota Tacoma. Even though the capacity is more than you need it would be your best option and it would give you greater flexibility for in the future if you were to want to tow a trailer. The bumper style hitches are universal and might require some modification to fit your bumper and they have much less capacity so the custom fit # 13323 would be a better choice. I...

  • Width of Trailer Hitch Receivers for 2005 Toyota Tacoma
There are three trailer hitch receivers that are fits for a 2005 Toyota Tacoma, and according to the manufacturers, from outside-to-outside at the widest points the hitches were approximately 38-1/2 inches wide. That would be the part of the hitch that attaches to the outside of the frame rail, but as you can see from the cut out of the installation instructions, there is a flange on the inside which is about 1/2 inch from the sides. I believe this may be what you were referring to by...

  • Hitch For 2011 Toyota Tacoma to Replace OEM Hitch
The aftermarket hitches for a 2011 Toyota Tacoma don't fit alongside the factory installed hitch; some trucks have hitches you can add on to OEM hitches that fit underneath the original. So I can't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to replace your OEM hitch with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13323. We did have one customer (see below cut out) mention replacing their OEM hitch, and they mentioned taking a look at the bumper brackets, which are required to install the # 13323....

  • Comparing Draw Tite and Curt Hitch for 2006 Toyota Tacoma
Between the Draw Tite # 75236 and the Curt # 13323 there isn't a significant difference in ground clearance. They both fit right up to the bottom of the rear bumper. Overall I would go with the Curt though. We have found that typically the quality control is a bit tighter on the Curt hitches and the powdercoat is a little more resilient.

  • Trunk Mounted Bike Rack Recommendation for a 2016 Chevy Cruze Limited
The nicest trunk rack we offer for your 2016 Chevy Cruze is the Thule Raceway part # TH9001PRO. What makes this rack far superior to the others is the attachment system. It uses 4 retractable coated steel cables to attach to the vehicle rather than 6 nylon straps like other racks. This makes installation quick and easy and the cables also last longer. The cables store inside the rack so there are no loose straps ends to flap around. The cables can also be locked into position to deter...

  • Can Curt Hitch 13323 Fit 2010 Toyota Tacoma with OEM Hitch
The Curt hitch part # 13323 is not listed as a fit for your 2010 Toyota Tacoma as it does not fit the versions of the truck that have the OEM hitch. That being said I don't see why it would match up to the frame now that the OEM hitch is gone. I would be a little worried that the frame rusted badly as well where this would need to install.

  • How to Determine Rise or Drop for Ball Mount
You're right, the information for getting everything correct is pretty overwhelming but you seem to have it down pretty well! In order to determine the correct rise or drop you need for your ball mount, all you have to do is measure from the top of your receiver to the ground and from the bottom of your trailer coupler to the ground and find the difference. You can use the cut outs of the linked help article on "How to Measure for Rise or Drop" I added. For example, the Curt Trailer Hitch...

All of the hitches we offer that are confirmed to fit your 2006 Toyota Tacoma with a regular cab would work great, but the hitch we offer that has the most positive reviews and is the most inexpensive is the Curt Hitch part # 13323. I reached out to the manufacturer who told me the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver # E98850 was tapered at the brackets but at its widest point was approximately 38-1/2 inches. The same is true of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13323. Both of these hitches fit a 2006 Toyota Tacoma, as will the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 75236.
