Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

by:

The trailer hitch we ordered arrived very quickly & works great! I would order from e trailer again with no issues!

by:

very easy to installUnless you are installing this on a new van, be sure to spray some WD 40 type lube on the threaded frame holes. Over time, they develop some rust and the lube will make it easier to insert and tighten the bolts

My van is a Toyota Sienna. The only problem is that the hitch is too low and sometimes it crash in the ground if I not careful. It is kind of annoying

I had the same issue on my 05 Sienna. I added a set of Timbrens to the rear end and it solved the problem.

  • Hitch, Weight Distribution and Brake Controller Recommendations for a 2017 Toyota Sienna XLE
We can get you everything you need for towing with your 2017 Toyota Sienna XLE. By plastic shield, I believe you are referring to the appearance panel underneath the Sienna, and that will have to trimmed a bit in each of the hitches available for the vehicle. A great Class III hitch would be the Curt # C13105, which is rated for weight distribution and has been given a nearly 5-star review on our site by the over 500 customers that have rated it. As for a brake controller, the wireless...

  • Wiring And Hitch For A 2019 Toyota Sienna With A Hidden Cross Tube
All hitches available for the 2019 Toyota Sienna are manufactured in the US. Item # e98853 and Item # C13343 both have hidden cross tube designs, a 525lb pound max tongue weight, and a 3500lb gross towing capacity and is not compatible to be used with weight distribution. Item # 75237 has a 675lb tongue weight and a 4500lb towing capacity and can be used with weight distribution however; it has a visible cross tube. All hitches mount the same with the exception of trimming the under body...

  • 1-1/4 inch Trailer Hitch for 2019 Toyota Sienna
While we don't have any Class I hitches that fit your 2019 Toyota Sienna we do have Class II hitches which are the same 1-1/4 inch hitch size like with the Draw Tite # 36513. This essentially would function exactly the same as a Class I and would be the same size but would just have more weight capacity than you'd need. Then for trailer wiring you'd just need the part # 118648 which I attached an install video link for on this page as well as an install video for the hitch.

  • Recommended 2 Inch Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2009 Toyota Sienna For Best Ground Clearance
For your 2009 Toyota Sienna, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13105 you referenced. From the lowest point of the hitch receiver you will have about 8-1/2 inches of ground clearance. The inside top of the receiver itself will be at 11-1/2 inches. This is identical to the etrailer option # e98837 and about 1 inch higher than the Draw-Tite # 75237 option. The SE and CE are trim models and don't impact the fit of the hitch receiver.

  • Bolt Size to Install Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch 75237 on 2005 Toyota Sienna
According to the instructions, the bolts for hitch part # 75237, are M12 x 1.25 x 40MM bolts. If you do not have a metric tap and die set, I would just take one of the bolts to a hardware store and match the tap to the bolt.

  • Bike Rack and Anti-Theft Solution for Use with Draw Tite Hitch 75237 on 2009 Toyota Sienna
Since the Yakima bike rack part # Y02457 comes with a locking threaded hitch pin bolt there isn't a way to use the J-pin with it and it isn't needed. That being said we have found that adding the Yakima HandCuff Cable Lock for RidgeBack and SwingDaddy Bike Racks # Y02466 adds extra security for your bikes. This would work great with the Draw Tite hitch part # 75237 that you mentioned as well.

This is especially important when considering hitch mounted accessories like bike racks, cargo carriers or ball mounts. Measuring from the ground to the top inside edge of the receiver tube opening, # e98837 will offer approximately 11-1/2". On the other hand, the Curt # C13105 offers 10-1/4" and the Draw-Tite # 75237 only offers about 9-1/2".

The main differentiation between the available Class III hitches is how they'll appear once installed. The etrailer brand # e98837 and the Draw-Tite # 75237 will have the entire hitch visible under the rear bumper. In contrast, the Draw-Tite # 76112 and the etrailer brand # e98853 will have the crossbar nicely tucked behind the rear bumper, with only the receiver opening and safety chain loops being visible. The # 87586 (no longer available) is not completely hidden but it will be largely out of plain view. I sure can; when we installed the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75237 on a 2012 Toyota Sienna, we found the distance from the top of the receiver to the ground was approximately 11 inches. Taking into account the lip and the receiver opening being 2 inches, it will be about 8-3/4 inches from the ground to the bottom of the hitch. • Best Bike Rack for 2017 Toyota Sienna for Transporting 1 or 2 Bikes
The best way to transport bikes on any vehicle is almost always a hitch. This is so because hitch-mount bike racks use the car's frame - its single strongest part - to handle the weight load of the rack and bikes instead of the car's relatively thin sheet metal. Once you add into the equation sometimes-delicate cosmetic features like spoilers hitch racks make a lot of sense. Still, if you're going to transport only 1 or 2 bikes of nominal weight then you can use a trunk-mount rack like...

There are a number of similarities between the Draw-Tite # 75237 and the Curt # C13105. They both install onto your 2018 Toyota Sienna in the same way and have a similar look to them. Their capacities are different, with the Draw-Tite being higher, but the Curt is also rated more than you're van so that really isn't a factor. Between the two Draw-Tite hitches you asked about, I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76112 because it has a concealed crosstube, which gives you a number of advantages over a hitch that has a visible crosstube, such as the Draw-Tite # 75237 you mentioned. It has a larger hole and a smaller hole. You do not use the smaller hole. You can use a hitch extender like the Curt # C45791 if you have a 2 inch receiver or the Brophy # HES6 if you have a 1-1/4 inch receiver. You have 2 choices at this point. For the first option, you could use an extender like # HES6 which would provide an additional 5-3/4 inches of clearance for your Thule T2 Pro XTR, part # TH69TX which would allow it to fold but using an extender would reduce the tongue weight capacity (maximum amount of downward force that can safely be applied to the receiver) by 50%. I attached two pictures. The one that shows the underside of the rear of the vehicle is the # 76112 and the other is the # 75237.
