Perfect fit. The installation instructions were very helpful and provided enough detail to prepare for the job and execute the job with no problems. Since I did not have a lift, I used a cinder block and leftover pieces of 2x4 and hardwood flooring to prop up the receiver prior to installing the bolts. I used the shipping box to slide the equipment into position. The box also acted as a back cushion.

Hitch was a perfect fit. Installation video was very helpful—much better than what came inside the box. Hitch installation only took an hour. Very happy with my purchase. Also installed wiring harness as seen in photo. That took a little longer as wiring installation video available was for 2018. 2019 had some slight changes behind panel and underneath the car—but was easy to improvise a solution. Thank you etrailer for the videos!!!

Hitch is solid! No issues. Used it for our Curt 5-bike rack and a 8’ x 4’ utility trailer. Great investment and reasonable cost—saved a bundle when you install yourself. Before you say you can’t do it, watch the etrailer videos...they will change your mind.

Super easy to install and looks factory. It's a good idea to follow the simple etrailer install video than follow the instructions that were provided, which recommends that you take off the bumper. There were some scratches and scuff marks on the trailer which could have happened during delivery - box was torn open slightly when I got it. Other than that, I'm happy once again with etrailer's pricing and tutorial video.

Since I was installing this solo in the driveway, I had to figure out a way to lift and get it into place. Using a large floor car jack with wheels and a long handle, I could maneuver and lift the device into place while I worked the bolts by hand. NOTE: not mentioned in the shee that came with it, was the need to bend two bolts out of the way for installation, and then bend the bolts back into place. These are the two closes the the back hitch location that you use a giant Philips screwdriver to remove the skid plate from. The cardboard box itself is great for sliding underneath the vehicle.

Ordered on Monday before Thanksgiving and it arrive Friday AM! Well packaged. Great instructions. I watched the installation videos prior to it arriving so I had a basic idea of what I needed to do. It took me about 2 hours with just auto ramps and my 11 year old son. We managed to get the passenger side in first which allows you to avoid removing the exhaust hanger. It is a little tricky but manageable, getting the hitch tucked in to the area between the gas tank and bumper skin with the 2 tabs that are fixed on the frame. All in all looks great and was easy to install thanks to etrailer! It’s my second hitch from them and yet another awesome experience. PS also love the live tracking as it gets packed to shipped and all along the route??

2015 Toyota Sienna

I ordered this hitch on Wednesday (with free shipping), received it on Friday and installed it on Saturday. It fits perfectly on my 2015 Sienna. I had a Drawtite hitch installed which I removed to install this Curt concealed hitch. The Drawtite kept bottoming out with a light duty trailer attached. I installed this by myself, but a second person would be helpful. It took me roughly 2 hours total to remove the Drawtite and install this one. I backed the car up on ramps and loosened the tailpipe hanger behind the right rear wheel. Here is the way I did the 2-man job by myself (I'm 73 yrs. old). After removing the old hitch, I loosely put one bolt (just a couple of turns) in the forward most hitch mounting hole on each side. Then I lifted the hitch and tied it loosely to each of these 2 bolts. Then I was able to maneuver the concealed part of the hitch behind the rear fascia, following the instructions on the etrailer video. After the hitch was in place, I opened the trunk and tied the 2" receiver just below the fascia loosey to the trunk latch. At this point the hitch was loosely suspended in position. I removed the tied up end and bolt from one side and screwed it loosely in place and then did the same for the other side. To finish up I inserted, tightened up and torqued all six bolts. This hitch has no place to attach the wiring plug, so you have to be creative there. All in all a great experience dealing with etrailer and a perfectly fitting, nearly invisible hitch.

Hitch went on easily in 59 minutes. (Tried to beat the expert time). Had tools set up ahead of time and a friend to help hold in place while fastening. I did not take the bumper piece off, and just slid the hitch up behind it as demonstrated in the video. The stickers Toyota used to protect the weld nuts worked great. There was no rust on the 4 year old sienna(2016) that has been driven through three Minnesota salty winters.

This has been a solid trailer hitch. So far I have used it to attach a bike rack (Yakima FullTilt 4-Bike Premium Locking Hitch Rack) for 2 seasons. I use a cover "plug" during the colder seasons to keep the hitch free of debris. This is installed on a 2015 Toyota Sienna. The reason that I chose this model hitch is that the bar can be mostly hidden underneath the car's underside beneath the factory-installed plastic shield below the Sienna's rear bumper. Other models required that the plastic piece be removed which then exposes the underside to more of the elements and also aesthetically does not look as nice. With this model, it means that the only part that is sticking out of the car is the connection point. The main horizontal support bar is not visible like on other models. I would highly recommend this product.

Just as good as the day we got it. We dont use it too heavily, but at least a dozen times since we got it installed. No complaints. Still rock solid.

Best thing I ever put in. I put this on our 2020 Toyota Siena so we could pull our pop up trailer. It does perfect! Easy to install and very durable. Just drover across the country towing our trailer and there weren’t any issues at all!

Can’t complain about anything. I installed this hitch on my 2018 Toyota Sienna LE AWD with a friend. We required some tools (plastic pry tools, shears to cut plastic body panels, wrenches, jack and stands, etc.). The hitch keeps my Thule four bike rigidly attached. The only wiggle or slop I feel is in the rack and not the hitch.

- C13343
by:

Our Sienna is the easiest hitch I've installed, which is mostly due to the car, but also partly to quality instructions that came with the thing. There was only one bit in the instructions that was confusing - it mentioned removing two bolt-hole stickers and one plug on each side of the van, but it was clear once mounting up that instructions should have said three stickers. Be sure to peel all of the sticker off - don't leave any behind. The only step I was worried about was disconnecting the exhaust hangers as that can be a messy fight sometimes, and they didn't disappoint. As a bonus I figured a way to install this hitch without removing the rear bumper fascia, but I won't detail that as etrailer probably wouldn't recommend that.

by:
2016 Toyota Sienna

I haven't towed with it yet, but the install went well. Just make sure you have a socket extension for your torque wrench. It does take two people, as one person has to hold it in place while the other gets the bolts started.

Watched the installation video on the website which was very helpful. They recommend loosening the exhaust and bending down two tabs holding the appearance panel. I was able to skip this with the help of my son. Total time was about one hour. I found the item to be heavy for one person. I used a floor jack to help hold it while I bolted it in. Shipping was fast even with a holiday and it was very well packaged. Straightforward installation. Receiver is high enough that it does not bottom when pulling into the driveway. Use it for a bike rack on road trips with no issues.

It's been a great hitch, very dependable & has worked great with an bike rack. Took us a little longer to put on than it sounds like for some people, but was able to do without detaching muffler or bumper.

I fought this install for hours. Both sides of this hitch were out of square. 1/4” on one side, 7/8” on the other. Put it in my bench vise and bent it into shape. Did it very carefully so as not to ruin the powder coat finish. Bolted up easy after that. etrailer customer service was great and very responsive. Arranged to ship me a replacement quickly, which wasn’t necessary in the end. Three stars only because I shouldn’t have to (or be able to) bend my trailer hitch in a bench vise. It’s bonkers, but it worked: https://www.etrailer.com/faq-my-trailer-hitch-doesnt-fit.aspx

Hitch fit like a glove. Fit and finish were excellent. I followed the directions on etrailer's website (Thank you) This hitch is primarily going to be used for a bike rack but also occasionally towing a small boat. I would recommend a second set of hands when installing. It was heavy to do solo.

Good thing because we needed it in and installed within two weeks. A recommendation was made for an alternate product and we were off and ordered. Package came quickly and the videos made the install smooth. Looking forward to attaching our bike rack and going camping!

This is the hitch receiver I wish I had purchased first! Unfortunately, I purchased the C13105 first, and have now replaced it with this one. I get so much more clearance with this hitch receiver. Not only is the frame concealed up inside the rear of the car, but the receiver tube is about an inch and a quarter higher up as well. I'm very happy with it.

They are both concealed cross tube designs to the only part of the hitch that is visible once installed is the receiver square and install the same on the 2020 Toyota Sienna. I have...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2020 Toyota Sienna for Ground Clearance
To avoid any issues with ground clearance with your 2020 Toyota Sienna, I strongly recommend a trailer hitch with a concealed crosstube because they will sit up higher and give you more ground clearance than a hitch with a visible crosstube. When we test fit the three trailer hitches that fit your 2020 Sienna that have a concealed crosstube - the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98853, Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13343, and Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76112 - we found...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch with Most Ground Clearance on 2020 Toyota Sienna
For your 2020 Toyota Sienna either the etrailer.com # e98853 or the Curt # C13343 Class III hitch will offer the best ground clearance out of the available options. Both feature a 2" receiver that will sit about 13 inches off the ground when installed. Between these two options I recommend the etrailer.com # e98853 because of its unique matte black finish that provides a rugged appearance while also being a bit more resistant to scratches. Otherwise these two units are virtually identical....

  • Which Trailer Hitch for a 2012 Toyota Sienna Has the Most Ground Clearance
I do have ground clearance measurements for the etrailer.com Trailer Hitch Receiver part # E98853, the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 76112, and the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13343 but we have not had a chance to install all of these on a 2012 Toyota Sienna yet. Also, the ground clearance measurement we take will likely be different that what you have even with the same year as the tire size and cargo in the vehicle will all play a factor into ground clearance.
