I was amazed how easy this was for my man to install. Just raising the Sienna rear tires by a couple inches by rolling up the back end of the van into the garage, was plenty for my man to get under there and install the hitch, with the help of my dad who hand-spun the bolts in on the one side. Definitely use a torque wrench -- tighten to 79 lb-ft the instructions said. Looks fantastic.

Hitch appears to be solidly built and was a breeze to install, especially after watching the installation video.

Great hitch, fairly easy to install. The only issue I had was I didn’t slide the bracket over the exhaust isolator bracket before I stated the rear bolts. Had to undo it and start over. But after that, very easy to install.

Still working great! Using it in conjunction with a weight distribution hitch system and it is working flawlessly!

Super solid hitch receiver, but I bottom out going in and out of my driveway whenever I'm towing our trailer (even with Airlift airbags installed). The hitch receiver even bottoms out without anything installed in it from time to time depending on driveway. If I had to do it again, I'd get one of the concealed receivers. I hadn't seen them when I ordered mine, but wish I had. This hitch receiver is totally fine, though. We went on a two week road trip with our trailer this summer with no issues at all from the hitch - other than bottoming out!

Comments
This hitch offers one of the highest ground clearances currently available for the Sienna. There are a number of vehicles that have trailer hitch options that offer a concealed receiver design, such as hitches designed by Stealth Hitches, but at this time there are not hitches like that for the Sienna.

One star. If you have a gen3 sienna, do not get this hitch. I couldnt take it anymore. Anyone looking at this hitch receiver should look at the Curt C13343 receiver instead. I ended up selling my C13105 hitch receiver and getting the Curt C13343 after continuous disappointment with the C13105 bottoming out. The C13343 hitch receiver is not only totally concealed on the sides, but I gained over 1 of clearance on the receiver tube, and its 1 inch further back on the vehicle - which helps with bikes on bike rack not hitting window. Im also a bit disappointed with the etrailer expert comment on my initial review. Based on the dates on reviews of the C13343, it was completely available at the time of my first review of the C13105.

The hitch fit perfectly on my 2011 Toyota Sienna. Only problem was that I couldn't find the package of bolts and washers. They weren't in the box, not inside the receiver tube. I assumed they'd fallen out of the box during shipping (there was some damage to the box via. UPS). It wasn't until I emailed customer service that I learned to unwrap ALL of the tape from the hitch and found them tucked tightly against the outside of the receiver tube under a ball of tape. So remove all the tape before contacting customer service! Customer service replied to my question quickly, on a Sunday evening. Other reviewers had trouble with this hitch bottoming out on the ground, but that has not been a problem for us so far, and there appears to be plenty of clearance between the hitch and the ground, even when backing out of the driveway onto the street.

I feel the hitch bar was of good solid material and well made. When I first received the hitch it did not fit my 2010 Sienna. So with the quick and friendly guidance from Will at etrailer.com, I was able to open the hitch mounting arms and fit it to my Van. The mounting arms are flexible by design and can bend during shipment. I would definitely recommend this product to the next customer.

Looked all over for this product at a fair price for my family's 2005 sienna minivan. Found it at etrailer.com via online search. Called to make sure it was in stock and was happy to quickly speak with one of there knowledgeable staff personnel. I had questions regarding timeline of free standard delivery which was only 5-7 days to California. They also assured no problems with returns or us of PayPal as payment option. Entire transaction was seamless and the self installation with very well based on instructions provided within packaging. Overall, I give them 5 stars for providing an as advertised product to my home in an efficient timely manner with above average customer service.

Volvo Cross Country

I've been using this hitch receiver to hold a hitch style bike rack. It was used very regularly last summer, and just started getting used again for this summer. I remember delivery being surprisingly fast, to the point that I encouraged my sister to order from this site just two weeks ago when she was days away from relocating across country and wanted her own hitch for a bike rack. (She did order from this site and hers arrived fast as well). The quality of the product seems great. I haven't noticed any wear and tear on it yet. It's been installed for a year and has gone through one Midwest winter. My husband will be inspecting it soon, before we take our own cross country trip with the bikes. I don't suspect he will see anything out of the ordinary or that would cause concern. Like I said, it seems like it is great quality. Also, installation was a breeze. Granted, my husband is a mechanic, but the fact that it was fit for my van made it much easier than the original universal options I was looking into buying. I am very pleased with this purchase. I was originally nervous to order from a site I had never heard of before, but am grateful I took a chance. I will continue to recommend etrailer to any friends and family that are looking for products that etrailer offers. I highly recommend this hitch receiver and this website.

2012 Sienna LE FWD. Watch the 2011 installation video before you start. This 13105 hitch tucks in even prettier than I expected, and now my brother is jealous. Note I made the cutout in the underbody panel narrower, starting 1.75 inches from the hole (see photo), for a closer fit, and there is still room for torque wrench. I also cut a slit out to the front edge, so I could slip it on with the hitch in place, and for better access to my air hoses inside the left fender. I decided to add Airlift after reading reviews, since on trips I carry a maximum load. Installed single-handed, raised on jack stands.

Comments
Hi Mike,I was ready to purchase a 2014 Sienna until I found out Toyota would not put a hitch on this vehicle because of low ground clearance. I will be carrying heavy loads and have heard you bottom out on the hitch when going into parking lots etc. At times when the van is fully loaded I will also have a travel trailer attached which adds 400 lbs. to the tongue weight. Even with this hitch it may not be the right van for my needs. Do you have experience that can help me?Can you tell me what type of Airlift assist you put on and if you ever have trouble bottoming out on your hitch. How does the Airlift affect the ride both when heavily loaded and empty?Thank you for your time and have a great Labor Day weekend.

I’ve owned this trailer hitch for over a year now and it’s all that I thought and more! It fit and bolted up perfectly. It’s solid and works perfectly! I researched a bunch of hitches and so I glad I went with this one! (Apparently people have a lot of issues with mounting and fit)

I installed this trailer hitch on my 2018 Toyota Sienna. It is very well-built, and fit perfectly. Customer service was very responsive when I had some questions, and responded right away, both by phone and email. The instructions were very good, but could benefit from additional information regarding cutting the car’s rear trim panel. In addition to the cut that needs to be made for the trailer hitch bolting plate to go through on the driver’s side , it also needs to be cut around the main bar / receiver area. Instead of cutting a big slot for the main bar, I cut out around the receiver plates, and put drain holes in the ends that would otherwise collect water. One shortcut that I found was that I was able to move the exhaust out of the way far enough by just removing the rearmost hanger, rather than removing the two hangers as shown in the video.

Every time that I have used this hitch, it has performed flawlessly. No complaints after a year of use. It is a well-made product.

True bolt on for a 2010 Toyota Sienna. The only issue I encountered was that the driver side threading was really dirty and needed to be blasted with some PB blaster and wire brush cleaned. But that doesn't really have to do with the hitch itself. The passenger side must have been cleaner because the exhaust covered up that side a little bit. Once everything was cleaned, the bolts were torqued to 79 lb/ft and I was good to go. Thanks!

The hitch itself is sturdy and looks great on my 2009 Toyota Sienna LE. However I had trouble putting one of the bolts in. I had cleaned the hole with WD-40 and hole brush and also ran the bolts prior to installation of the hitch to make sure the thread holes are clear of rust etc as suggested in the video. It’s a tight fit with the hitch and I had no issues with 5 bolts. I think the slot on the hitch for the bolt with issue is a bit too tight as a result the bolt would not go in straight and wouldn’t latch on to the hole threads. I had to finally force that bolt in with an impact wrench.

2013 Toyota Sienna

Installed on a 2013 Toyota Sienna. It was easier than I expected. Overall, the hitch is great. Note of warning for any mini-van owners; the clearance on most mini-vans is already relatively low. This will of course lower it a bit more resulting in scraping on the driveway entry and other high spots. Not a huge deal but worth knowing ahead of time

The product was perfect. The customer service was a bit weird. I ordered from here because it said I could receive the product in less than a week. After more than a week, I contacted the company. After waiting on hold for 30 minutes, I got told the hitch would be sent quickly and I would have it within a day or two. After another week, it finally arrived. I don't mind that I had to wait a couple of weeks for a good product, but just communicate better!

The best part about this hitch was that Toyota Sienna had the nuts welded in the frame and all we had to do to install was raise the hitch to the frame, screw the six bolts you supplied and that was it, a perfect installation because the hitch was properly designed. Thanks.

This is the second Curt trailer hitch that I've purchased from etrailer and I installed both myself. Very happy overall, and will definitely use etrailer again in the future.

The hitch fit really nicely and the four Toyota hitch designed bolt holes lined up perfectly. The thin plastic underbody cover on the Sienna just needed to be trimmed to accommodate.

I wish it was designed to hug the bumper closer and add an additional inch or so of ground clearance. I still give it 5 stars because it is made well, had all the necessary hardware and installed easily. I have a lift so it took less that 30 mins. Salute to Etrailer for such fast service and shipping.

This was relatively easy to install (rusty/grimy holes in my undercarriage notwithstanding). My husband’s friend helped us install it. Used it for a bike carrier. Sturdy and safe on the highway. I was very pleased. Shipping and customer service were fast! I appreciated the website design that guided me to the right models to choose from for my car. So helpful!

Hitch is great and the video is a great tool for installing. I'm not mechanical so without the video I would have been stuck. A few items of advice for installers: 1. Make sure you have an extension for your ratchet like the video shows. I didn't have that and it made it difficult around the exhaust. The video that is on the Curt webside recommends moving the exhaust out of the way for the install. If you don't have an extended ratchet, that is what I'd do (if you have the tool to do that). We made it work, but I needed to use my wife's smaller hands to get the bolts started on that side. 2. The instructions says that you don't need to raise the vehicle. I didn't raise ours, but in retrospect, I would have raised it up or at least put a jack under it so I could lay on a roller or something. I'm an accountant so manual labor laying on concrete makes me sore - and it gets pretty tight under there :) 3. Our van was very dirty underneath so I got a lot of dirt in my eyes when taking off the plastic cover - might be worth wearing some glasses when you do it. 4. my only complaint is that the hitch is a little lower to the ground than I'd like - I think it will be grounding out on some driveways. that really isn't the hitch's fault though - it is fitting pretty snug underneath the van, but the van just sits pretty low to start with. I have a picture of my 5 year old helping me - yes, he is still alive under the van. I didn't intend to attach that but can't figure out how to remove :)

Our curt trailer hitch receiver is excellent. Installed it myself rather quickly on my daughter's Toyota Sienna and she uses it often to pull their boat. It's solid, secure, and shipped and arrived quickly.

  • Does the Rear Appearance Panel of a 2014 Toyota Sienna Get Trimmed When Curt Hitch is Installed
The underbody panel of your 2014 Toyota Sienna will need to get trimmed to install the Curt Hitch part # C13105 that you referenced. If you check out the installation instructions and the install video I attached you will see more info on how it gets trimmed. Leaving the panel off would be an option, it wouldn't cause any corrosion or have any undesired effect as this is just an appearance panel.

Your 2014 Toyota Sienna can be fitted with either of two sizes/classes of trailer hitch, either a light-duty 1-1/4-inch Class II type or a 2-inch Class III type that offers higher capacity. Since the costs between the two types are so close, and since a 2-inch hitch offers better flexibility with accessories like bike racks and cargo carriers, I suggest the Curt # C13105. The Curt Class III # C13105 trailer hitch attaches to a 2005 Toyota Sienna using M12-1/25 x 40 bolts. The installation hardware is included with the hitch. The bolts attach to preexisting nuts that have been welded to the inside of the frame members. Over the years, quite a bit of road gunk and corrosion has likely made its way up into those weldnuts. Before attempting to install the hitch bolts, you'll want to give the threads a thorough cleaning. Spray a generous amount of spray lubricant...

  • Trailer Hitch, Bike Rack and Towing Equipment Recommendation for 2015 Toyota Sienna
I recommend a 2-inch Class III hitch for your 2015 Toyota Sienna over a smaller Class II type since it will give you higher capacity and/or a better safety margin. I suggest Curt 2-inch hitch # C13105 because it has the same capacity as the others but costs less. Written instructions and an install video are linked for you. In terms of ground clearance all hitches made for your car will mount to the same points on the frame; no one particular hitch will give you noticeably better ground...

  • Which 2 Trailer Hitch Has the Most Ground Clearance on a 2010 Toyota Sienna XLE
We currently have two different 2" trailer hitch receivers for your 2010 Toyota Sienna XLE which are the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13105 and the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 75237. When we tested the Curt hitch on a 2010 Toyota Sienna LE we found that the distance from the ground to the top of the inside edge on the trailer hitch receiver is 11-1/4". When we tested the Draw-Tite hitch on that very same 2010 Toyota Sienna LE we found that the distance from...

  • Which Hitch For 2013 Toyota Sienna Provides Most Ground Clearance and the Least Underpanel Trimming
The Hidden Hitch Class III, part # 87586 and the Draw-Tite # 75696 are both made by the same parent company and are virtually identical, so they will install in the same manner. When installed, either of these hitches will have approximately 10 inches of ground clearance under the bottom of the receiver tube. The Curt Class III, part # C13105 will have about 9 inches of clearance under the receiver tube. I'll link you to the instructions and install videos for each of the hitches. As...

  • What Size Bolts are Used for the Curt 2" Trailer Hitch on a 2007 Toyota Sienna
The weld nuts on your 2007 Toyota Sienna XLE won't actually stop the M12 - 1.25 x 40 HEX bolts that come with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13105 you referenced. The bolts should be driven up until they make contact with the included washer and trailer hitch. These need to be torqued to the specs found in the linked installation instructions. I am not sure how deep the OEM weld nuts are on your Sienna. If you are looking to acquire new hardware you can get M12 - 1.25 x 40 HEX bolts...

  • How to Correct for Hitch Installation Hardware That Appears to Be Wrong Size
When installing a hitch like # C13105 on a vehicle that is even just a few years old, or certainly on your 2004 Sienna, it can often seem that the included hardware is way too big for the holes in the vehicle frame. This happens due to corrosion and trapped foreign material building up in the threads of the weld nuts in the frame rails. It will absolutely appear that the hardware is too big but in fact you just need to clean out those weld nuts. Please refer to the linked article which...

  • Can a Curt Trailer Hitch Be Installed without Jacking Up a 2011 Toyota Sienna AWD
Possible? Yes. Difficult? Probably. Vans like your 2011 Toyota Sienna sit low to the ground and you will likely find that there is not enough room to easily install Curt trailer hitch # C13105. To get an idea of what all is involved in an installation I have linked a video showing an installation and a link to the instructions for you. If you plan on doing some towing I also recommend etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK4. It comes with a ball mount, interchangeable ball set, hitch pin with...

  • Can't Thread in Trailer Hitch Bolts on a 2009 Toyota Sienna
It sounds like you have corrosion compacted in the weldnuts on your 2009 Toyota Sienna. All you can do is spray the lubricant, let it sit from about 15 minutes, and then go at the weldnuts with a wire brush. Do this repeatedly. If that doesn't help you will likely have to use a thread tapper. An auto parts store can usually loan out a tap and die set. Just make sure that the set has the right M12 size and thread pattern to match the bolts. If you haven't used a thread tapper before...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommended For Carrying Bike Rack on 2015 Toyota Sienna LE
When the choice is available, I'll typically recommend going with a Class III hitch with the 2 inch receiver opening, as there are many more available choices for hitch mounted accessories. If your bike rack is compatible with a 2 inch receiver, I'd recommend a partially concealed design hitch like the Curt Class III, part # C13343. This hitch would have the crossbar concealed behind the bumper, with only the receiver tube and the safety chain loops being visible. If you'd prefer the...

  • Differences Between Curt Hitch # C13105 and Hidden Hitch # 87415 for a 2008 Toyota Sienna
As far as installation and strength are concerned, the two hitches are actually very similar. Both install in the same location and mounting holes on the vehicle, and both are rated to tow up to 3500lbs. Both hitches will also have a similar ground clearance, because they both would feature the entire cross tube running below the vehicle bumper once installed. The main difference in this case would really be aesthetics. The Curt hitch # C13105 is angled slightly near the ends, so...

  • Exhaust Pipe of 2006 Toyota Sienna is Rattling Against Hitch
The Curt # C13105 is indeed a fit for your Sienna. Here's how the exhaust can rattle against the hitch, even if the correct hitch has been installed. The exhaust system at the rear of the car is attached to the vehicle using rubber isolators and easily bendable exhaust hangers. Because of this, the actual position of the exhaust system can vary a bit from vehicle to vehicle. When the hitch is installed, its position will not vary from vehicle to vehicle. The large tolerances in the...

We offer both light-duty 1-1/4-inch Class II and medium-duty 2-inch Class III hitches for your 2015 Toyota Sienna XLE. All can be seen on the linked page. The two linked articles offer helpful background on hitch types. We always recommend opting for the higher capacity 2-inch hitch when the choice exists. This hitch size offers better compatibility with a wide range of hitch-mount accessory items like bike and cargo carriers and a Class III will usually also have a higher weight capacity....

  • Trailer Hitch, Wiring, and Brake Controller Recommendation for a 2015 Toyota Sienna
We have everything you need to add a hitch, wiring, and brake controller for your 2015 Toyota Sienna. First let's start with a trailer hitch. For that the Curt part # C13105 is our most popular option that would work well. I attached an install video for you to check out as well. You will need to start with a 4-way (if you do not have one). For that you would want the # C56261. From there you would need to convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can install the brake controller....

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack for a 2017 Toyota Sienna
The Curt # C13105 is a fit for your 2017 Toyota Sienna and a good choice to use with a bike rack like the Rola TX-103 # 59403. The Rola uses anti-sway cradles that are going to prevent your bikes from contacting each other and has a weight capacity of 80 lbs. To access your Sienna's rear storage, you don't even need to remove the bikes, and the arms fold down when you aren't using it, so it'll be easier to store as you plan to remove it and re-install it often. Depending on the bikes...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2012 Toyota Sienna for Trailer Towing and Bike Rack
Since you want to tow a trailer and use the hitch for bikes, I recommend a Class III trailer hitch for your 2012 Toyota Sienna. A Class III trailer hitch with a 2 inch receiver is going to afford you more options for accessories than a smaller hitch. The receiver on any of the available trailer hitches will be directly below the rear bumper on the van, including the Curt hitch, # C13105, that you have referenced. Because the vehicle sits so low to the ground, ground clearance can be...

  • Cleaning Out Weld Nuts to Install a Trailer Hitch on a 2006 Toyota Sienna
In all likelihood you will not have to tap the holes on your 2006 Toyota Sienna to get the hitch bolts to fit. Usually the issue is that the weld nuts on the vehicle will get packed with grime and corrosion and all you will have to do is clean them out. You will need some spray lubricant such as WD40 and a wire brush or battery terminal brush such as # 814092 or # DW00254. Spray the weld nuts with the WD40 and let them soak for about 15 minutes. Then go at the holes with the wire brush...
