Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

I received the hitch on time.
The
installation went smooth. Took me 30 min max, for one person it wasn't that difficult. I rested one end on the exhaust and it was pretty straight forward from there.
I just sprayed the bolt threads with wd40 in the day before and didn't feel any resistance at the time of installation.

Thank you etrailer for an the prompt service and excellant custom produce

No problem what so ever, love the products that are made for DIYer and the savings!

2010 Acura TSX

I brought 2 trailer hitches. I want to be able to swap a trailer hitch bike rack between both of my vehicles. I got two nice products. However, what I'm most inpressed with is the support from this web site. I received a few emails that provided additional information about my product. The installation videos are top notch. All parts I needed for the install was supplied. Even the clever fishing wire used to insert the bolts. I highly recommend purchasing a hitch from this web site!

by:

I bought both the receiver & wiring kit. I was in no rush so went with standard shipping and received in less than a week. The receiver was more stout in construction than I expected and it fit on my minivan like a glove. Most of my time was consumed by cleaning the threads on the van frame - didn't have metric tap. The wiring went nice & smooth. the total job took me a bit over 3 hours.

by:

The hitch is good quality, heavy and well built. The holes toward the front of the vehicle seemed to be just a little off, which created a tight fit, but we were able to get them lined up, secured and tightened down with some gentle crowbar work.

Also the trim panel was very easy to work with and the online video was excellent. As mentioned in the video much of the work can be done by one person , but getting the holes lined up and started is a two person job.

by:

Ordering was easy with the Year Make and Model. My order was filled and shipped quickly and accurately. After receiving the hitch it was pretty easy to install, lifting it into place was the toughest part. I am more then satisfied with this company, and will recommend it to all my friends who need hitches or trailers.

by:

This morning I installed a tow bar on my 2013 Toyota Sienna. It was an easy install that took about 90 minutes from start to finish. The bar itself is excellent in quality and workmanship. This is the 5th or 6th tow bar I have purchased from etrailer and all have been great quality and value. thank you etrailer. American workmanship--hard to beat..

by:

Fits perfectly and I like how a 1-1/4" receiver is discreet on the minivan

by:
2006 ToyotaSienna

Hi,I'm very happy with the email ordering. Many options for hitches and shipping was super fast. I Sprayed my hitch with truck bed spray.

by:

Good price. Fast delivery. Easy to buy the correct parts for the installation. Good videos for installation instructions. Hole alignment of hitch with Toyota van mounting holes was meh. I suspect the hitch but I can't prove it! Did manage to get mounted with some prying.
Van was 13 years old at time of installation and threads in mounting holes were almost indistinguishable with rust. Chased threads with tap, I was surprised at how easy this part was. I was concerned that I would cross thread the tap because how rusty the threads were in the first place but it worked out very well.

Thank you for your review. Your hitch may have been slightly flexed. I will attach an article about it:

I received a defective or not so well designed product since the trailer hitch ended interfering with the bumper cover by about 1/2 inch. Or, it may not be good for 2005 Toyota Sienna as it was specified and sold. See the pictures.

According to Draw-Tite, Toyota made minor changes in the bumper fascia over the years. The hitch is a fit for the vehicle, and the fascia can be notched if necessary.

by:

Once again, I am completely satisfied with the product I ordered, and the whole buying experience from etrailer. Their combination of product selection, price, customer service, shipping times, and installation instructions are the very best you can find.

Pontiac Trans Sport Van

We needed to be able to transport bikes for a family of five, and also occasionally get lumber, pine straw, etc. Our etrailer hitch enabled us to use a large bike rack, and to pull a small trailer. The hitch solved these problems in a very cost effective way. It was very easy to install as well, so I put one on both my vehicles!

by:

Excellent product. The fit was snug but bolted right up. Looks great.

by:
2007 ToyotaSienna

I installed this hitch on a 2007 Sienna so I can connect my bike rack to the van. The installation was very straightforward. Watching the video was very helpful. I did not remove the exhaust pipe off the hanger which made threading the bolts a little more challenging. Smaller hands would have made that task easier. The box the hitch was shipped and is the perfect height to help support the tongue when installing. Total install time was 35 minutes.

by:
2015 ToyotaSienna

Installed on a 2004 Toyota Sienna LE in about 15 minutes. Everything needed for install was included. Did not have to remove anything from car as directions stated you might. Basically stuck hitch up under van and put the six bolts in and finished. Make sure you have the torque wrench. Tongue in normal position sits about 11 inches off the ground. Don't forget you will need to buy a ball and a wiring harness for the van.

by:
ToyotaSienna

Quick shipping. I backed my van up to the edge of a curb to get more room to work underneath. The Siennas have 6 weldnuts already on the frame so install was a piece of cake. Didn't have to trim any bodywork, either. I ordered a Sienna trailer wiring kit, too, and it all came in the same box. Exceptional customer service and follow-up from these guys.

Excellent product you are the best.
Second purchase.
Greetings from New Jersey.

by:

This should be an easy product to install. The hitch itself appears to line up to the holes perfectly underneath the van, however, after attempting to screw in the bolts provided into the pre-drilled holes in the van, the bolts provided are too thick to do so. After calling Customer Service at etrailer.com about the issue they said Id need to bore out the holes in the van because the bolts provided are the correct size, even though you can clearly see the bolts are too large. After explaining this to the customer service rep again, supposively, etrailer.com is going to confirm with the manufacturer the bolts provided are the correct size and let me know the outcome. Ill see what happens, but at this point Im not happy with this purchase and etrailer.coms response yet. If they let me Ill post an update of my outcome. Ill either go to Home Depot and get the correct bolts myself or send it all back to them.

by:

Instructions that came with the wiring harness weren't that great but your installation
video cleared up my confusion. The hitch is great. It even stood up to an off road adventure last fall. Once again "great videos".

by:
2015 ToyotaSienna

Mounting the T-one Connector Black Box on the passenger side I did not have enough Black 12ga. wire and had to add 3ft to reach the Battery. Need to supply a little more wire when mount box on passenger side.
Hitch installation went pretty good.

by:
2017 ToyotaSienna

Excellent install video really helped with the process. Took about an hour to install, most of which was trimming the undertray - I decided to keep the whole piece and cut a slot for the driver's side mounting leg, which I fed through the opening and back into position. Finally, on my 2017 Sienna there is a little spoiler lip molded into the undertray exactly where the cross-tube sits so I just cut along the top of the lip to open it up, and it fit perfectly around the crosstube after that so thet the crosstube is "streamlined" by the spoiler and doesn't get dirty.

by:

As if my minvan wasn't boss enough, I can now tow my own Port-a-potty wherever I go.

First obtained online quote from UHaul ($450+) then I got quote from dealearship ($1000+) before realizing that they were both selling same product. A quick Bing internet search and I found it here on etrailer.com. I was able to reference part number and the online instruction PDF convinced me install was so simple even I could do it.

My trailer hitch arrived in short order and it was very simple to install. I would seriously recommend purchasing through Etrailer.com

by:
2015 ToyotaSienna

2015 Toyota Sienna. Install was straight forward. I was able to reinstall the entire appearance cover by cutting a slit for the driver's side hitch attachment plate. The instructions said to only reinstall the rear of the cover after cutting & removing it from the main part.

by:
2008 ToyotaSienna

Arrived in good order and figment.

by:

Buying this trailer package was the easiest on-line experience I've had. I liked that everything I needed was in their web page and the video's showing installation gives one confidence on how easy this can be.

I bought the hitch, wiring kit and drawbar for a complete turn key solution.

Further, I have already recommended etrailer.com to a friend with a similar vehicle.

  • Recommended 1-1/4-Inch Class II Hitch for 2015 Toyota Sienna AWD
We offer several 1-1/4-inch Class II trailer hitch receivers for your 2015 Toyota Sienna AWD that can be seen on the link provided. Among them the one I suggest for its higher 350-lb tongue weight (TW) rating is the Curt # C12065. The actual weights of these various hitches do vary slightly but their resulting appearance after installation will be very much the same. Please refer to the linked video showing installation in a 2014 Sienna. All of the required hitch installation hardware...

While we don't have any Class I hitches that fit your 2019 Toyota Sienna we do have Class II hitches which are the same 1-1/4 inch hitch size like with the Draw Tite # 36513. This essentially would function exactly the same as a Class I and would be the same size but would just have more weight capacity than you'd need. Then for trailer wiring you'd just need the part # 118648 which I attached an install video link for on this page as well as an install video for the hitch.

It sounds like you might have a Kuat NV, # NV22G.With a bike loaded and the rack tilted we could not open the rear hatch all the way but every bike is different so its still possible. The Curt is 11-3/4" from the top of the receiver to the ground and the Draw-Tite is 11" from the top of the receiver to the ground.
