It was a little challenging getting the hitch into position to put the mounting bolts, but I was able to use a jack and stand.
Fit perfect on our 2024 Grand Highlander Hybrid Limited. The kick sensor still works!!! We were going to get a factory hitch installed when ordering the vehicle but decided against it when the salesman told us that the kick sensor would not work with the factory hitch. This is the second hitch I bought from etrailer with no regrets. Thank you
Curt Trailer Hitch appears to be well made. Did align with bolt holes on a 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid. If installing at home definitely need two people to make life easier. Also, raising the back tires on roll on ramps helped facilitate access. However, unlike some other reviewer comments the foot activated cargo hatch opening sensor would not work after this hitch installed. Not a deal breaker, but disappointing. Finally, bicycle riders be aware that for this particular vehicle and this hitch a trailer hitch extension was necessary to purchase to allow clearance for the cargo hatch to open when a bike rack was installed!
It was an easy installation. I'll be using it primarily for bike rack.
Installed on 2024 Grand Highlander Limited. Don’t believe the note in the product description, definitely does fit dual exhaust models. No cutting of panels required (unlike older Highlander models). Do yourself a favor, install with 3 people. One on each side to install the bolts, and one to lift in the center of the hitch. You could do it yourself, but getting around the exhaust isn’t the easiest to handle. We installed with 3, because they were right there watching. About 2 minutes to get it in place with the team. Then about another 5 for one person to tighten up all the bolts.
Great receiver that sits below the bumper with no additional trim piece required.. Received within 2 days of ordering and installed in about 10 minutes by myself (4 bolts. I had previously bought an OEN receiver from the dealer that cost more than this product and also requires an additional trim piece. Parts alone from the dealer were >$450.
Took ten minutes to install on 2024 Grand Highlander. Feels very solid, looks good, highly recommend!
Just finished installing this on my wife’s new 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander. Super easy and looks great. Everything lined up perfect. Took about 30 mins. Had my wife help just a little bit holding the opposite end in place just to keep the weight off the bolts so I could tighten up. Goes “up and over” the exhaust. Looks OEM stock. Very solid and feels quality.
I installed a hitch from etrailer for a 2012 Ford Escape for my wife a couple of years ago. I had to cut away part of the underside of the car to make it fit.
This one for the Toyota Grand Highlander went in perfectly. All of the parts were easily identified and laid out. It took a friend and me only 20 minutes. It was seamless. I am very impressed. Thank you.
I'd want to give 3.5 stars because the product itself is great and was very easy to install. But the packaging itself was pretty bad. It's not etrailer's fault that the delivery service left the package in such bad condition but also etrailer could have done a better job securing the product in the box.

The installation went very well. I wasn't 100% sure that the wiring harness would fit my 2024 Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid MAX. Your website stated that the fit "hasn't been confirmed"...I took a chance and it fit perfectly. The rear bumper 4 pin connector was a bit of a challenge to access....mainly because of my XXL hand! The 10 pin wiring connector under the interior cup holder was a piece of cake.....only had to remove the cup holder to access the connector...no screws to remove as the instructions stated. There was plenty of room to "park" the wiring and convertor box. I installed the hitch solo...it took a little time but was manageable (only a little cussing). After everything was installed I tested the lights..all OK. I finally checked to see if the kick sensor on the rear hatch would work...again, OK. Only issue with the kick sensor is that the sensing range has decreased somewhat. Tried to attach a photo...no luck.

Installed receiver on a 2024 Grand Highlander. Crawled under vehicle, got one bolt threaded into vehicle's frame [which held receiver in place] allowing me to install remaining 3 bolts. Took 30 minutes [solo install]. With help to hold receiver in place, should take 15 minutes.

Easy installation. Less than 30 minutes solo. Hardest part was jockeying the support arms around the dual exhaust pipes. Rear lift gate foot activation sensor still works.
