With the SuperHitch Magnum, you get a 2-1/2" receiver for heavy-duty towing and a 2" receiver for standard towing. Add on the TorkLift Everest weight distribution system (TLWD1000 - sold separately), which is designed exclusively for SuperHitch hitches, and you can max out the 30,000-lb weight capacity of the hitch.

With 2 receivers, you can tow a trailer and carry a hitch-mounted bike rack or cargo carrier at the same time. And if you have a truck bed camper, this hitch has pre-drilled mounting points for TorkLift's super-sturdy camper tie-towns (sold separately). You can also add one of TorkLift's SuperTruss hitch extensions (sold separately) to extend the top receiver of the SuperHitch so that it clears your camper, allowing you to tow your trailer while your camper's installed.

Truck Bed Camper Compatibility

TorkLift is known for their truck camper tie-down systems and other camper accessories, so it just makes sense that they would have camper enthusiasts in mind when designing a trailer hitch. Each SuperHitch is built with integrated mounting points for TorkLift camper tie-downs, making it easier than ever to get a quality tie-down system for your slide-in camper.

TorkLift SuperTruss in SuperHitch

The dual-receiver design of the SuperHitch also makes it easy to tow with your truck bed camper in place. The SuperTruss line of high-capacity hitch extenders is specially designed to extend the hitch receiver back far enough to clear your bed-mounted camper, while still allowing for an excellent towing capacity. An ordinary hitch extender can dramatically reduce your towing capacity. But each SuperTruss extension forms such a solid connection with the SuperHitch that the setup is able to maintain one of the highest weight capacities in the industry. When used with a standard weight distribution system, the setup can maintain up to a 10,000-lb weight limit, even with an extension that is 60" long. As a result, you can clear almost any truck bed camper and still do some heavy-duty towing.

Dual Receivers for Maximum Versatility

With the SuperHitch from TorkLift, you can tow your trailer and use a hitch-mounted bike rack or cargo carrier at the same time. This is thanks to the dual-receiver design of the SuperHitch.

Most trailer hitches have a single receiver. Typically, you can find an adapter or extension piece that will slide into your hitch to give you 2 receivers, but these adapters dramatically reduce both your towing capacity and your tongue weight, limiting how much you can tow, as well as how much you can carry with a bike rack or cargo carrier. Each SuperHitch is specially constructed to maintain a high weight capacity so that you can use the 2 receivers without sacrificing towing or carrying ability.

TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Receiver Adapter

The SuperHitch Magnum features a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" receiver for heavy-duty towing. Directly beneath this receiver is a 2" x 2" opening that is designed to meet your standard towing needs. Want to tow a trailer and carry a bike rack or cargo carrier at the same time? Just slide the included adapter sleeve into the top tube to convert it to a 2" receiver. This way you can use your 2" hitch-mounted accessories and use the bottom 2" receiver to tow a trailer at the same time.

Video Transcript for TorkLift SuperHitch Trailer Hitch Installation - 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500

Today on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 we're going to be taking a look at and installing the TorkLift Super Hitch Magnum Trailer Hitch Receiver, Class 5, with a 2.5" and a 2" receiver, part number TLC1212-30. Here's what it's going to look like once it's installed. As you can see, it's a substantial tube that is powder coated. It's got large brackets for the side plates, and it's fully gusseted. It does come with a bumper support. It's going to go up inside and support your step on the bottom part of your bumper. It does come with two hitch pins and 2" reducer from our 2.5" hole on the top, and our 2" hole on the bottom.

This hitch is designed to tow 20,000 pounds of pulling pressure, and have 2,500 pounds of tongue weight, which is your downward force. Now, if you use weight distribution, that's going to bump you up to 30,000 of towing, and 3,000 of tongue weight. Now, with the weight that this hitch is able to carry, you definitely want to consult with your manufacturer or your owners manual to make sure you vehicle is designed to pull that kind of weight. It's designed to work with TorkLift's supper truss system, which is the hitch extended, sold separately. It's also designed and pre-drilled for the TorkLift camper tie downs that would attach to the sides, sold separately. Your camper tie downs would have you replace these bolts, and they'd come off the ends to attach, and your super truss is going to attach here with it's chains for support. Another nice feature about this hitch is you could be towing something with your lower receiver, and you can put a bike rack or whatever accessory you want to put on there on the top side and still have use of your hitch.

The top one is set up for a Class 5, which is going to give you your 2.5" receiver. The bottom one is going to be a 3 with our 2" receiver. It does come with this reducer and two hitch pins. Now, we can give you some measurements. That's going to help you in selecting your accessories, such as ball mounts, cargo carriers, or bike racks. From the ground to the top of the lower hitch tube, it's going to be 20.5".

From the ground to the inside of the upper hitch tube, it's going to be 23.5". In this case, our center of our hitch pin actually protrudes past our bumper by about half an inch on both receivers. You might want to keep that in mind when you're selecting your accessories. Now, let's go ahead and show you how to install it. To begin our install, we're going to need to remove our spare tire off of the vehicle. Now, we're going to need to remove this factory heat shield and set it aside for re-installation at a later time.

Two 13 millimeter bolts. Now, if your vehicle is equipped with a factory style hitch that's going to go under your . that is for a ball mount through your bumper, this large bracket here, we're going to need to remove that. We're going to have a large, 21 millimeter bolt on the bottom on each side, and we'll have two more on the side that we're going to take out. We're going to save all these bolts for re-installation of our new hitch. There will also be two 13 millimeter bolts on the inside that we're going to take out. Then, we'll take out these two 13 millimeter bolts. This bracket is not going to be re-installed, so we're just going to give that back to our customer. Go ahead and clip this out. Now that we've removed that bracket, that factory bracket that went across here, I went ahead and put the two bolts back in the side, on either side, and we torqued them back down because that's what hold our bumper in place without our bottom bracket from the factory on there. We're not going to be reusing these holes, so we put these bumper bolts back in and torqued them back down to specs. We've left the bottom one out because that's going to be part of our new hitch installation. Now, our new hitch is going to attach in some factory holes. It's going to be these two right here in the back. Then, we're going to take a bolt with a block and we're going to drop down through. We're also going to have the factory weld nut right there. We're going to remove one of the factory bed bolts that's up inside the frame rail here, and replace it with a spacer and a long bolt. Now, keep in mind, anything that we do on the one side, we're going to repeat it on the other side as well. Now, we'll take an 18 millimeter socket and we can remove that bed bolt. We're going to set it aside, we're not going to reuse that particular bolt. We'll just return these to the customer. Now, we're going to start assembling our hitch. Your side plate is going to point to the outside, this L part, on top and bottom. We're going to slide it up into place. We'll take this supplied M14 bolt, we're going to place it into the factory weld nut. Then, we can take our plate, split washer, and nut, and we'll place those onto the bolts that we earlier installed that hang down through the frame. Now, we need to get a bolt in through here that's going to attach to our L-bracket that's going to help support our hitch. We're going to take our half inch bolt, the star washer, and a plate. Then, we'll take the supplied fish wire, we'll push it up through the hole, and we'll come out the back side of our spring hanger. We'll attach our fish wire to the bolt, you can feed it in, and bring it to the outside. Then, we'll take another half inch bolt and flat washer from the backside, we'll place it through the hole, and we'll take our L-bracket, with the gusset part pointing to the rear of the vehicle, and we can place a flat washer, a split lock washer, and our nut. We'll do the same thing for the top. Now, we don't want to run these down until we have our center section in place, we're just going to leave these loose, so we have a little bit of play. We'll do the same thing for the bottom hole, and we'll repeat that process for the other side. Now, our last bolt we're going to put into the frame is going to be this one that's going to go into where the factory bed bolt came from. We're going to have a long bolt, it's going to go through, with a spacer on the outside, our spacer block, and our frame rail will be here. Then, inside the frame, we're going to have a plate, two washers, this piece of pipe, another plate, on the inside of the frame rail to take up our space so we can't over-torque it and bend our frame. We'll take our bolt with our spacer block on it. We're going to start into the hole, then we're going to drop our flat block on top, our two flat washers, the piece of pipe. Just got to kind of work it in. Then, we'll take our last spacer at the very top. Just want to make sure you keep your spacer going this direction so it'll tighten up, because otherwise it's going to get caught on the gusset of our hitch. Just run this up into place, and we'll repeat these same processes for the other side. Now, we're going to take our center section, we're going to place it into position. It's going to be held in with this rib-nut-style bolt, that once it tightens up, it's going to pull into the metal and keep it tight in place. Now, we'll get a second set of hands. We're going to place it up in position. We're going to temporarily put a couple of regular bolts in place until we get it up here, then we can replace them with the rib bolts. Then, we'll take one of our rib bolts, you can tap it into position. We'll put a lock washer and a nut, and we'll repeat that for the other seven holes. Now, we can take a 3/4" socket and we're going to tighten up our center sections to start with. Then, we'll go ahead a tighten up our bracket up onto the frame rails. The last thing we'll tighten up will be these side brackets. Then, we'll tighten up the 7/8" bolt. We kind of want to snug that one up, then we'll tighten up these side ones so we get this bracket pushed back securely into the corner. We'll repeat this process for the other side. Now, the last bracket we're going to have to put in place is going to be this bumper support bracket that's going to mount to the top side and give us some support on our bumper. We're going to go in from the back side, going to place it into position. I'm going to take these 3/8" bolts and flat washer, we'll place them through the bracket, we'll place another flat washer, a split lock washer, and a nut. Then, we'll do the same thing for the other three holes. Now, this is going to have a little bit of tension on it, so you might have to take a screwdriver and just push it up a little bit to help it go into place. Now, we can snug these up. Just going to use a 14 millimeter socket and wrench. Now, we can torque all of our bolts to the specifications listed in our instructions. We'll do all the 3/4" bolts first. This one may be necessary to do it from the back side so we can clear the other bolt. Then, we can get our center section. Now, I'll repeat this process for the other side. Now, we can reinstall our heat shield back into the factory location. You want to note that maybe on some vehicles, you might have to trim a little bit of this plastic shield where it mounts up against the bottom of the hitch. In our case, it's going to clear. All you have left to do is set your spare tire back into position and tighten it up. That's going to do it for our look at and install of the TorkLift Super Hitch Magnum Trailer Hitch Receiver, Class 5, with a 2.5" and a 2" receiver, part number TLC1212-30, on our 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500.

I purchased this hitch to use with a supertruss extension. The hitch installed easily and the instructions were great. Hitch seems very strong and fire nicely on the truck. 800107

Initially received the wrong side plates for the hitch. Torklift expedited the production of the correct plates... I will complete this rating when the install is complete. Written instructions are horrible. 203564

The TorkLift SuperHitch Magnum Trailer Hitch Receiver # TLC1212-30 referenced in your question is confirmed to fit your 2018 GMC Sierra 3500 with the 6-1/2 foot bed.
