Hitch came wrapped up in plenty of shrink wrap and tape for protection and shipping and product arrived in pristine condition.
The product is as advertised. Installation was easy as it took 2 of us about 20 minutes to install it. Access to the bolts is tougher on the drivers due to the muffler, but it fit perfectly. I recommend watching the installation video. They do need to do a better job with shipping. The 2 brackets that bolt to the car were ripped through the box. The metal easily sliced through the cardboard and were exposed. (See photos). Other reviews noted this and some were even bent on arrival. Mine were not and fit fine, but the packaging definitely needs to be reinforced.

It works fine. The only thing I wanted and use it for is for a bicycle rack so it doesn’t get any towing use at all. The rack does block the feature where one can use a foot to open the hatchback on our car when your hands are full. Don’t like that and was unexpected. The rack itself is fine.
Installed on 2023 Nissan Rogue. Hitch receiver arrived wrapped in heavy duty plastic and tape. First time installing a hitch receiver and was able to install it solo in 30 minutes. I can probably do it in 10 minutes now that I know how to. Tips: (1) Removing the 2 rear rivets in order to bend out the plastic trim by about 1/2 to 1 inch DOES HELP. (2) Jack up the driver side helps give more clearance with positioning the hitch receiver over the exhaust. (3) If installing solo, a standard jack stand is incredibly useful to hold up the passenger side as you install the driver side first.

To follow up, hitch is performing as expected. Main use is for bike rack plus up to 4 bikes. With the extra weight, hitch scrapes my driveway when backing up. Granted, my driveway has a higher clearance than normal. This may be unique to my case, but I noticed that the hitch makes contact with the muffler when the car is on and vibrates against it.

The hitch is very nice and I like the matte black. I would highly recommend removing the muffler cross bar (4 bolts) for installation and it gives you wiggle room to get it positioned. I also had to bend back that cross bar just slightly as it will rub on the back of the hitch and make noise if you don't.
Everything came packaged nicely.
Attached the hitch and assembled the bike rack in under 90 minutes. Hardest part was cleaning threads on car for hitch bolts.
Arrived quickly and was very easy to install. I had this installed on my 2023 Nissan rogue in less than 10 minutes by myself. I opted to not remove the plastic trim piece. Just had to flex it a bit and it went right on. I won’t be towing with this, but it’ll be great for our cargo carrier!

Still working great after 1 year. The only issue I’ve had is it chafes against the exhaust heat shield. I just ground a small section out of the heat shield that was rubbing so it’s no longer an issue. Would definitely buy again!

Its been a great addition to my 2021 Nissan Rogue. No regrets what-so-ever.
After a year, the hitch has always worked perfectly, although it's primarily used to carry 2 EBikes and the rack that holds them. Easy to install, and with zero maintenance it still looks new. Thank you ETrailer for all you do for your customers!
Overall etrailer service and performance has been outstanding for each of the several purchases I’ve placed with you.
Definitely my go to retailer for outdoor activities.
One problem…
The packaging of the Yakima trailer hitch was inadequate for its size/weight. Fix that and you’d rate a “perfect” outstanding

found etrailer videos on U-Tube while researching trailer hitches for 2023 Nissan Rogue. The, videos are very helpful and well made, Ordered the etrailer custom fit hitch it arrived well packaged and was fairly easy to install by myself, I was able to install it without removing the lower trim piece from bumper as shown in video, however I first tried securing one bolt loosely on passenger side then lifting to install other side (drivers) and found the exhaust in the way so I had to start over beginning on the driver's side, but all in all the installation was easy and the hitch fit perfectly.
The hitch bolted in place nicely, however, my 2023 Rogue SV has a bracket bolted to the rear side of the muffler that hits the forward facing end of the 2 inch receiver. I had to remove and reshape the bracket so it did not hit the trailer hitch when the muffler moves slightly. It would be better if eTrailer would shorten the forward facing end of the receiver tube to remove potential interference with the muffler decorative bracket.

Two commentss 1. Receiver drags ground going up sharp hill in some driveways. 2. You need to offer wiring harness connector bracket that bolts to hitch cross tube. I made my own and it looks more professional than a dangling connector.
Super fast shipping! It took les than 15 minutes to install between 2. Package was great only a small chip but nothing to worry about and nothing that a black nail polish will fix. I would definitely would again and again from etrailer. Excellent job guys! I also love the matte black color.

Very nice good product
Trailer hitch came, I installed it, after figuring out the bolts, for whatever reason I had to switch teem around to get them to tread, so if you think they don’t fit, try switching the bolts. It’s a two person job, my neighbor helped me. We did it on the ground, didn’t need to raise it off the ground. East install! Can’t wait for spring to go biking!
I tackled installing the hitch by myself on my 2022 Rogue and surprisingly I finished it in less than one hour. I treated all four threaded holes with WD 40 prior to installation. No jack, no lift just blocked my wheels and at age 66 slid underneath and when to work. Access to all four bolts with tools was effortless. Thank you e-trailer for a simple DIY!!
I received my order quickly. Though one of the mount extensions had popped out of the shipping box, there was no damage to the unit. I like the matte finish, as it makes it almost disappear when not in use. I installed the unit myself (but another set of hands would have been helpful) in about 30 minutes. It was hard to move the unit into position because of the exhaust pipes, but I drove it about half-way up my ramps to get about 6 more inches of clearance, then it slid right into position. Would absolutely do it again.
Perfect fit.....if you are installing a bike rack on a 2023 Rogue your emergency backup brakes will engage and you cannot back up without turning off the brake assist every single time you back up.

Really good product. Instructions for installation were good, including videos. Great receiver hitch for my Thule bike rack, which is what I bought it for.
I actually due to unusual circumstances didn't install the top link wheel until a few weeks ago. It works very well and I'm happy with it. The backup camera I have not installed yet, but if I do it this year I'll give you my impressions. Best- Kevin

I was very happy to find a hitch through etrailer for my 2023 Nissan Rogue, that Nissan does not carry one to fit. And UHAUL did a great job installing it.
I would’ve given this five stars because the trailer hitch is solid and well built. Installation however it was a different story… It was not an easy installation. We had to put it up on a neighbors rack and then try making it a quarter of an inch wider. We had to use a house Jack and a wood block to spread it wider. Sooooo… the part of the instructions that state “ for easier installation remove the three plastic locking caps from the underside of the car bumper.” Errrrrrr….that made no difference whatsoever! Lol

It sounds like that the side brackets were knocked out of alignment which is why the bolt holes are not lining up. This can happen while in transit to our facility or to you. We do have a great FAQ that provides ways to move the brackets back into alignment so the hitch can be installed.

The hitch receiver was exactly what I ordered and installation went just as the instructions stated. It came fully wrapped and protected. Installation took about 45 minutes by myself. My only issue was trying to get my torque wrench on the bolts on the driver’s side. Extremely happy with it!!
