E trailer is the best! Using them for y ears

by:

One year later, hitch is working great on my 2013 nissan murano.

by:

Nice looking and very easy install!

by:

My only suggestion is, do you research on videos on proper installation?

by:

Wonderful hitch. Never had an issue with it!

by:

I tried to drop the exhaust but it was more difficult than it looked (even with some WD-40 to lube the rubber connectors), so I decided to try installing without doing that. I got a 12x1.25 tap and it was well worth it--far easier to clean out the 12mm bolt holes with that than with one of the bolts (I tried both). Without dropping the exhaust it was a little challenging to get the tap lined up and turned all the way in--it's a pretty tight space. Then it is a two-person job to get the receiver bar in place--one person to hold one end while you hold the other and get one bolt in finger tight, then go to the other side and do the same. The receiver bar was just a little narrow--had to flex it a little to get the last bolt in. I did put the car up on jack stands to have more room to work. Really flexible folks might be able to do it without that. Torque the 12mm bolts to 83 ft./lb., the smaller bolt to 23 ft./lb., and you're done. Way cheaper than paying to have someone else do it.

by:

Great hitch. heavy duty and a nice powder coated. In my case the directions state to drop the rear muffler assembly but I was able to install without dropping muffler.

This is second hitch I purchased from ETrailer. They have all your towing needs.

by:

I think I got my wires crossed on my review. I left an excellent rating on what I thought was the receiver hitch for my 2011 Nissan Murano, but I think the rating I left was for the wiring kit for the lights hookup. Really doesn’t make any difference because the wiring kit was excellent as well. I have etrailer hitches on two other vehicles I own. That’s the reason I came back to etrailer for this hitch. Perfect build quality and it fit like a glove. Excellent people to do business with. You won’t be disappointed.

by:

Great product and instructions for an easy install. I would recommend.

by:

Great fit directions spot on make sure you clean weldnuts tap purchase was well worth it.

by:

Bolted right up and tugged a moving trailer from Portland to LA

by:

Hitch arrived in a box not damaged. The right side was good. The left side was bent slightly. Of course I learned this after starting on the right side. Took it back down and put it in a vice to straighten the left side. Once that was complete all went well. Lowering the exhaust and having the thread cleaner is a must. Makes it so much easier.

by:

The hitch fit perfectly and was easy to install, even with me just laying in my driveway. Thaks for a great product at a reasonable price.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch for a 2014 Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet
Yes the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13577 does work with the CrossCabriolet model of the 2014 Nissan Murano. This hitch has a 4,000 lb weight capacity, a class III 2" receiver, and a 400 lb tongue weight capacity.

  • Recommended Solutions to Carry Bikes on a 2010 Nissan Murano

  • Whats Difference Between Round Tube and Square Tube Hitch for 2012 Nissan Murano
Great question Rae, so from an in-use perspective there isn't really a difference between a square tube and round tube trailer hitch. So for your 2012 Nissan Murano where there are only round tube hitches available like the Curt # 13577 that would be what you would want to go with to use the Thule EasyFold XT part # TH903202 you mentioned.

  • Availability of Hitch for 2011 Nissan Murano That Does Not Require Removal of Rear Fascia Panel
All of the 2-inch Class III hitches offered for your 2011 Nissan Murano will use the same frame mounting points for installation, but the version of the vehicle will determine which hitches are suitable. Installation procedures can vary slightly depending on whether or not you have the Cross Cabriolet version. The link provided has a drop-down menu to let you choose which version Murano you have and to see the hitch options that fit. Curt hitch # 13577 fits both versions and requires...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2013 Nissan Murano
The Nissan Titan and Armada and Titan do not use the same trailer hitches. The 2013 Murano also requires trailer hitches designed just for it. For your 2013 Murano, I recommend the etrailer # e65AR that you have referenced. We also offer the Curt # 13577. If you plan on doing some towing with either hitch I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts, 2 balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. For trailer wiring use # 118653.

  • What is Most Concealed Trailer Hitch that Fits 2009 Nissan Murano
The difference is just the look. Some prefer the look of a square and some a round tube hitch. Both can look more or less visible depending on the application. Some vehicles with more round body panels will look better with a round tube, but a truck with a square bumper looks better with a square hitch. Really depends on what you think looks best. For your 2009 Nissan Murano we have two round tube hitches, one from Curt # 13577 and one from etrailer # e65AR, with the etrailer model #...

  • Bolts Will Not Thread for Curt Trailer Hitch 13577 on 2013 Nissan Murano
If you are using the correct bold, then the method I recommend to clean the weld nuts is with a wire brush part # 814092 and spray lube. In order for the method to work you will need to let the lube soak for around an hour and then vigorously clean with the brush. If this still does not work then you can use a 12 mm X 1.25 tap. You need to be extremely careful when doing so as you can cross-thread the weld nuts rather easily. Let me know if this does not work.

To use a hitch lock on Curt Class III 2 Inch Hitch, part # 13577, I would recommend the Trailer Hitch Receiver Lock, part # e98880. If you want a hitch lock that also includes an anti-rattle device you can use the Softride Anti-Rattle Device and Lock for 2 Inch Trailer Hitches, part # SR25219. If you are using a hitch bike rack or hitch accessory on your hitch you will need to use a hitch lock designed for that particular brand of hitch accessory. Most of the hitch accessory manufacturers...

  • What Causes Tire Cupping on a Trailer Tires
That's tire cupping. When you have cupping wear on a tire it is from the tire bouncing on the road. You will want to check the air pressure in the tire and make sure you are running the maximum air pressure that is indicated on the tire. Then, I would recommend to have the tires and wheels balanced. Another thing to check is the suspension parts on the trailer. When suspension parts begin to wear and get loose it can cause the tire to hop when being towed and cause the cupping pattern.

  • Trailer Hitch And Bike Rack Recommendation For 2014 Nissan Murano Crosscabriolet
In order to have a bike carrier on your 2014 Crosscabriolet, you will need to use a trailer hitch mounted carrier. There are no trunk-mount racks confirmed to fit due to the way the back of the vehicle is made. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 13577. This is a Class lll hitch and it has a 2 inch receiver opening. When installing the hitch the tie-down hook will need to be removed. The carrier I recommend is the Thule Camber 2 Bike Rack, part # TH9058. This bike rack...

  • Which Hitch Will fit on a 2013 Nissan Murano?
There are three hitches that are confirmed fits for your 2013 Nissan Murano, including the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit, # 13577. This hitch will fit on your Murano even if it is a CrossCabriolet, whereas the other two hitches will not. You will also need a wiring kit, and I recommend the ModuLite Circuit Protected Vehicle Wiring Harness # C59236 if your Murano is a CrossCabriolet, and the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness, # 118653, if it is not.
