Fully welded Kia Telluride trailer hitch is strong and durable. Draw-Tite's Tested Tough guarantee ensures that this hitch exceeds industry standards. The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection.

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Hi, everybody, I'm Scott with etrailer. And today we're gonna be taking a look at our Draw-Tite hitch for our 2024 Kia Telluride. Our Draw-Tite hitch has a nice black coating on it. It's pretty heavy-duty-looking, it's not too bad. It has a gross trailer weight rating of 5,000 pounds, and that is the amount of weight that it can handle with the trailer and everything on the trailer included. As far as your downward weight, that's gonna be 500 pounds tongue weight, and that's gonna be the weight pushing down on this part, lower part of your hitch here.
That's gonna be the number you're gonna be looking for as far as like your bikes on the back, your cargo carrier on the back, anything like that. And you just wanna make sure that you don't exceed any of those numbers as far as your vehicle manufacturer's recommendations on your weights. It does have a 5/8 pinhole here, so that's gonna be able to secure all your accessories and everything there, and that's real nice. This hitch will not come with one, but you can get one here through etrailer. You can get the standard or you can also get the optional locking pin that goes through here.
That's gonna keep your accessories that you have on the back secure so nobody can take those off. This hitch is gonna have your rolled-style hook loops here. It will take your standard S-type hook or your clevis-style hook here. Pretty nice option to have in case you pulling a trailer or anything like that. Measurements, as far as that goes, we are looking at, from the top of the tube down to the ground, you're looking at about, I'd say right around 13 1/2 on that measurement there.
And as far as coming from the center of the pin out, you're looking at right around four inches on that. With those numbers, your number from the ground here, that's gonna be the number You're gonna want to see if you need any rise in your shank for like your bike rack or anything like that. That way when you get weight on it or anything like that, the rear end of the vehicle is gonna come down a little bit. So that's just gonna have it raised up a little bit so your bikes or your rack or anything like that isn't hitting the ground behind you. Say you go back outta your driveway or something like that, you don't want your bike to be scrubbing on the road.
As far as your pinhole out, what that number's gonna be for is your accessories that fold up. Now, say you have a bike rack that folds up or anything like that, you're gonna want to be able to know the number between here and out to here. So that way when you bring your bike rack up, it's not gonna come up and hit the back of your vehicle. As far as installation goes, it's pretty straightforward. You are gonna have to do a couple things as far as checking your hardware. Make sure you have the correct hardware together with it. I'd probably do that before you start your install just to make sure you have everything in a row. It's a good-looking hitch. It's pretty durable, seems like to me. But for me, fitment-wise, I would take a look at our etrailer one. I kind of like to finish on that one a little better as well. It's more of a flat black. And I think it installs a little bit easier and maybe a little bit smoother. That may be something you want to take a look at. Other than that, if you're interested in getting one of these put on, if you have time to do it yourself, take a look at our installation. If not, you can always look at our dealer locator and they can get you one set up to where you can have it done locally. But if you want to do it yourself, stick around, watch our video and we'll help you get it installed. To start our installation of our hitch, what we're gonna do is we're gonna get in the back hatch here and we're gonna have, look around for your little thing here that says, "Spare tire." I'm just gonna get that outta the way. And down here, you have a 21 millimeter nut, and you're just gonna back that off until your spare tire comes down. (ratchet cranking) Now with your cable back down a little ways, what you want to do is you're gonna lift up on your spare. And up under here, you're gonna have this part. You're just gonna bring it up like that through your spare, bring that down and outta the way. Now that we have the spare outta the way, what we're gonna do is we're gonna have this little plastic trim area right here that's on the driver's side rear. And what we're gonna do is we're gonna take a flathead screwdriver, and we're just gonna get in here and pop these clips. And sometimes they might be in there a little tight, they're gonna have some stuff in there so you just kind of wiggle it around and it'll come out for you. With those out, you're gonna have a couple 14 millimeter plastic nuts up here. You've got of wanna back them off a little bit. You shouldn't even really need a ratchet, I just use a long extension in my hand. You should be able to just do that. If it acts like it don't want to come down for you, you can just pull down on it a little bit, add a little pressure to it, and that's gonna help 'em back down. (plastic clacking) For our next step, what we're gonna have to do is get our exhaust to come down a little bit to get out of our way. So what we're gonna do is take a cam buckle strap here and we're just gonna find a good place to hook it up. I think I'm gonna go right off the sway bar here on each side and just get that hooked in there and just pull her down tight like that. That's gonna help support the exhaust when you remove your hangers. On your rubber isolators here, it's usually a good idea to shoot 'em with a little silicone, or you can also use a little bit of soapy water and just spray down your isolators a little bit. And then after you do that, you want to give 'em a little wiggle around. That's gonna help break 'em loose in case they're attached to the steel. They kind of bond on there a little bit. But now you can use either an isolator exhaust tool or you can use a pry bar. I'm just gonna use a pry bar today and just get up in there behind your exhaust and get those to pop loose. It should be pretty flexible so they should come outta the way for you. Got that one here. We've got one hidden back here in the wheel well. This one can be a little harder sometimes. (metal clacking) And sometimes you'll get it so far and then you'll be able to just do it by hand, kind of maybe pushing the exhaust away while you do that Now with those down, you're just gonna take your cam buckle strap, hold onto your exhaust a little bit, and just let it down nice and easy. Bring it down enough, give yourself enough room to work with here. Now on this part, it does have a little shield up here. And the last one of these I did, I did find out that the shield gets in the way when you're trying to slide the bolts through. So what I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna pop this down out of the way. It doesn't say that in the instructions, but I'm gonna do it from learning from past experience. (electric ratchet whirring) (metal clacking) As far as the hardware that comes in the kit, you are gonna want to keep an eye on your different conical washers here. You're gonna have some that have a little bit smaller diameter hole here, and those are gonna be for the smaller black ones. And you are gonna have the bigger size one's gonna be for your bigger bolts. So you want to keep that in mind when you're going through doing your thing here. You might want to just set 'em up where they're all separated so you know what's to what. And that way you don't go putting some of the bigger ones on your smaller ones when you put 'em up and then you won't have any for these. Now with an extra set of hands, we're just gonna get our hitch lifted into place here. Just gonna line it up with your bolts under there. (metal clacking) And just want to get 'em in finger tight, just enough to support it in place here. On the passenger side, it's gonna have just the one that goes through the frame here and that's gonna come to the back of the vehicle. That one's gonna be the goldish-colored bolt with the black washer, and that is gonna be your grade eight. On the driver's side, you're gonna have your conical washer with the teeth. You're gonna have two of those with your silver bolts, and those are gonna go through the frame here. (metal clacking) And let's get them to go through. Okay, so for our rearmost bolt here, we did notice that we're having problems lining it up. So what I'm gonna do is I'm just gonna run this side up (electric ratchet whirring) and kind of snug those down. Snug those down, see if that helps us get that lined up for us. And that did the trick. Now that we have 'em slid through the frame here, we're just gonna take our conicals, and this is gonna have the teeth on. You're gonna have it facing the frame here on both of those. (metal clacking) That will just start the nuts on by hand and bring them down finger tight as far as you can. On the passenger side here, with your gold bolt, it will take a different size nut. It is gonna have a smaller head diameter and it is different threading than the one that goes on your driver's side. So do keep that in mind when you're sorting out your hardware and getting everything all together. I would do that on the bench and just get everything paired together with where it goes on the bench, and that's gonna help you with your installation. Now after we got our bolts all snugged down, what we're gonna do now is we're gonna come back with our torque wrench and get 'em tightened down to the specifications listed in our instruction manual. If you don't have a torque wrench, you can get one here through etrailer, or you can maybe borrow one at your local auto parts store. (metal clacking) (torque wrench beeps) Now earlier in our instructions, we we inchesre instructed to trim our fascia back here a little bit. On this one, we're not doing that 'cause this is not the hitch that this one's gonna be done with. But if this is the hitch that you got, you're probably gonna want to trim that out because it does put some pressure on the rear of your bumper here. It's nothing major, but I would do it just to get a better fit. So you probably have to trim out from here to here and then up a little bit and then you'll, it'll go back and it'll fit real nice for you. With everything all torqued down on your hitch, all you're gonna do is get your exhaust hangers back up and get your spare tire put back in place, just get everything put back the way it came apart. And that will do it for a look at your install on our 2024 Kia Telluride.

Fully welded vehicle trailer hitch is strong and durable. Draw-Tite's Tested Tough guarantee ensures that this hitch exceeds industry standards. The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection. This hitch, like every other hitch I've bought over the years from etrailer.com, was a perfect fit for my 2020 Palisade. The directions are thorough and all hardware is included. I was able to install mine solo without having to lift my vehicle. I used two jack stands to balance the hitch as I moved it into position. Once you get the top bolts in place "it ain't going anywhere". Torqued everything down to specs. Was pleasantly surprised I didn't need use any pivot extenders / etc. Everything fit nicely with 17mm and 19mm sockets, 17mm and 19mm open end wrenches, and a torque wrench to finish it off.
Very easy to order, product mounted to the vehicle without any issues. Excellent quality and easy install after following etrailer video.
Fit a 2022 Kia Telluride SX perfectly. No cutting of the bumper. No cutting any trim etc. Watch the video that etrailer made. It walks you through the process perfectly. The bolt on the passenger side WILL fit past the heat shield. Put the washer against the opening first then put the bolt through. It will go with a little pressure. The silicon lubricant helps to get the muffler hangers off. Undo the two muffler hangers near the bumper and the one in the middle. Have a rest for the muffler at this point. You can slide the rubber muffler brackets off by hand if you spray them first. No tool needed. Get it at any auto parts store. This can be done alone but if you have a helper to get the bolts through while you hold the hitch it helps. Total install took me about an hour and a half. Bring your iPad with you and pause the video as you do each step. Average Joe can do this.
good except the hitch was sticking out of the packaging in a couple areas when it arrived and scraped the paint off a couple small areas. These were not going to be visible once it was installed, so I installed it as-is and will use some touch up paint.
This is the a
second hitch from E-trailer. Easy to install and excellent in use. You can not go wrong trusting this company and their products!
This item was installed on a '21 Hyundai Palisade with the Calligraphy Trim level. It fit perfectly with NO trimming required to the rear bumper lower edge. This is an important fact as the similar Drawtite prduct does NOT fit on the Calligraphy version of the Palisade without trimming. We also appreciated the excellent customer service demonstrated when we needed to do an exchange from Drawtite to Curt.
This does NOT fit a 2020 Palisade. Install was easy enough but as you can see from the picture the metal piece is pushing up into the bumper causing it to deform. There is no way around this unless you are willing to cut into the bumper. I would not recommend this hitch to anyone with a Palisade. It was obviously designed for another vehicle.
Shipping was very fast and the product was as-described. Fit and finish were excellent!!
High quality, great hitch. etrailer was super easy to work with and their how-to videos are great!
I have ordered from etrailer before and have been very happy with the service and products. The customer service staff stayed in contact with me when I had questions and when my order arrived, The Kuat NV 2.02 was a great price when compared to all other on-line stores. We are very happy with the high quality and function of the Kuat NV 2.0 bike rack. Thank you!
Thanks for checking back. I had two issues. First the power coating is very poor. A small amount of paint had chip off when it first arrive. I patched it but a lot more has fallen off since then. I have powder parts in my car restorations work and your trailer hitch was poorly power coated. I expect it to be nothing but rusted metal in couple of years.
Second item is the fit wasn’t that great. I had to cut the exhaust heat in two different locations. Now that I finally have the hitch installed the exhaust system bangs against the hitch every time I drive over a bump or ruff road. This is the third e trailer hitch I have installed and by far the worst. I wish I had bought the car manufacturers hitch.
Sorry for the poor review but I am just disappointed. In the past I have always had good experience with your company and have recommend you to friends and family but this last purchase was a just plain bad.
good price, excellent service, fast del ivery
Awesome products. Ridiculously easy to install. Crazy quick shipping!
I give etraler.com 5 out of 5 star for their customer service support. However, the product itself is not what I expected. The hitch did not fit my car perfectly. I had to trim off the bumper to make it flush. Also, the design did not account for the bolts interfering from placing back the original plastic undercover. I had to trim the plastic cover to make room for the bolts in order to place them back. In addition, round tube was in direct contact with the muffler shield. I had to bend and modify the shield so that the bar would not touch the muffler heat shield. Overall, there were some design flaws that did not account for several areas and required some modification on my end. I just expected something more "fitted" with this hitch design.

Thank you for your review. All of this sounds pretty normal. It sounds like your hitch was a bit flexed. I will attach a help article explaining flex. Also, the hanger bracket sometimes becomes loose and all it needs is to be bent holding the muffler tighter. Trimming is also sometimes needed. This sounds like normal tweaking for your hitch install.

The service and delivery time are consistently outstanding!
This was not difficult to install at all. While I was waiting for the hitch to arrive, I watched Youtube videos on the instillation. When the box arrived I already knew what I needed and got after it. Very nicely designed so that the only piece that is visible from the bottom is the square tube connector for the hitch.

Well it’s been a year and we could not be happier! This hitch has more than served its purpose. We use it quite regularly. When we travel we want our dogs to have all the space inside our vehicle Hyundai Palisade. For that reason we mount a luggage rack to the hitch and we’re able secure everything. From time to time we also pull our trailer and it performs flawlessly! The vibration pin is a nice touch. I don’t have that on my pick up truck and I can tell the difference between the two
It was backorder for a while, but they kept me informed when it would ship and when it would arrive. I did not install it myself, but it looks great and fit perfectly!
I rec'd the hitch less than 48 hours after I ordered it...sent from MO to PA...amazing. Great online installation video. I was able to easily install it the same day I received it. I couldn't be more pleased with the delivery, installation, and the product!

A year later my feelings about the hitch are still the same...great product!! No complaints whatsoever!
Purchased a Draw tite hitch & wiring from etrailer for my sons Palisade. We watched the ‘how to’ video before starting the install. Great info gots us going in right direction from the start. As described start to finish in less than 60 mins!
Both hitch & wiring fit perfectly. We did have an advantage using my 36 in hydraulic scissor lift. Per the video, spray rubber exhaust hangers with silicon spray & they pop off with little effort. We used a jack stand to prop up exhaust while installing the hitch. Only small glitch was reinstalling the drivers side underbody trim. The hitch bolt created a interference to lining up the 14 mm bolt. A small clip off of the plastic underbody trim gave clearance & we finished the job.
First time buying from etrailer but definitely not the last! Great people to do business with
Install took a little longer than what was shown in the video using basic hand tools. Website said no cutting of the rear facia but the instructions that came with it stated clearly that it would need to be cut to fit. I installed it without cutting the facia. Receiver makes contact with the facia where it drops down for the trailer hitch. It bent the plastic down a bit and was able to install it without cutting. Packaging was good when it was received but paint was chipped in a couple of places when I opened the box. Overall it was a good fit, very well made and welds were good quality. Quick shipping, it arrived when they said it would. Staff at etrailer processed order quickly. I have bought from them in the past and will do so again in the future.
Wonderful experience! I ordered this along with the etrailer 24x60 cargo carrier and received both within 2 days of ordering. Both have performed flawlessly! I couldn't recommend a company and their products more.
The instruction said 30 min install. Iam not an expert but I am an engineer and fairly handy with tools, but this install took me about 6 hrs. I will say it went with minor issues but doing one with out a lift and by yourself was a major job. Holding a 40lb. Hitch and juggling two wrenches was an experience I prefer not to have again.
Fit as expected and very happy I made the purchase from etrailer.com. Due to the time it took to install the wiring harness, which was five minutes, I didnt take any pictures and just too excited the tow hitch and wiring harness were both installed within 30-40 minutes. Thanks again for all you do!
It's very solid and heavy, really need 2 people to install it and it fits perfectly. Here are few suggestions: The bolt for the single long screw on the right side should be a different color than the 2 bolts on the left. 1 washer on the left side needs to grind down to fit for the 2023 model. Installation instructions to trim the fascia should be in BOLD to tell this is a must.
Great fit for a Kia Telluride 2020. Has worked well. I have not used it to pull anything strong, have just been using it as a bike rack but works like a charm.

With the powder coating of the hitch, I recommend touching it up with a can of Rustoleum if you have not already done so. It will help prevent rust in the future as long as you keep an eye on it. For the exhaust ratting against the hitch we do have an FAQ with possible solutions. Please see the FAQ below.
