Hitch receiver tube is longer than the other etrailer hitches and will extend farther out from the vehicle so accessories such as bike racks and cargo carriers extend past the spare tire. No drilling through vehicle frame required for installation , Exhaust must be temporarily lowered for installation , Tow hooks, if present, will be permanently removed , Any obstructions on the cross member, such as excess welding, will need to be removed for installation

I watched your install video and then installed the hitch. It was pretty much just like the video. All the bolts lined up perfect! Didn’t even need to take little plate off, just pushed it back a little and slid the hitch in place. Easy -Peasy.
That’s why I bought the E-trailer hitch, I wanted it to fit.
The receiver fits Perfectly and the finish looks factory-installed. I do have one piece of advice. My 2024 Jeep Wrangler did have two bolts that held a bracket in place. This bracket also anchors the middle part of the rear bumper cover. If you loosen the 2 10mm bolts (do not remove) on the bumper cover and then remove the two 18 mm factory bolts, the bracket (they refer to it as a plate in the installation video) will easily slide outwards making ample room to install the receiver. You will need to re-use the two factory bolts as the plate has built-in nuts. Installation took less than an hour. Great Product!
Great fit on our 2023 Wrangler Rubicon. I was able to perform the install without removing the exhaust like stated in the instructions.

It was fairly easy to install and aligned with the existing holes on my 2024 Jeep Wrangler Sport S. It did require my grandson to pull on the bumper to allow room between the bumper weld plate and the frame while I squeezed the hitch in the gap. The existing bolts on the Jeep were 18mm and the supplied bolts were 3/4". I recommend they supply 18mm nuts & bolts in the future so it doesn't require both standard & metric tools to install — otherwise, it was a straightforward hourlong installation.
Have not installed it yet but looks to be a perfect fit. Very nice finish, matches the stock steel bumpers nicely.

I've had my hitch installed on my Jeep for a year now. The hitch is great - super easy installation and solid as a rock!!
I read the reviews paying close attention to the fact that I had a Jeep Wrangler with the tire on the rear. I chose this one because it said it would fit and allow bike racks with the tire in place. Item arrived and I easily installed it with no effort at all. Nothing had to be removed unlike the instructions. The picture below is minutes after installation. My Thule 4-bike rack would not slide into place as it was not long enough of a mount which is contrary to what the description said. I reached out to etrailer and was told that I could purchase an extender for $XX dollars more than what I bought the mount for. I contacted a local trailer supply store that had an extender for a lot less money and now it works......
Wanted the 5k hitch for my 2018 Jeep JLU Sahara. Bolted on with little fanfare and was able to pull a 3k lbs cargo trailer. I probably won't pull the full 5k but having excess capacity is never a bad thing.

Ordered hitch for 2017 JEEP Wrangler JL Rubicon. No Major issues. One person installation less than 1 hour with beverage break.
Installation was somewhat easy. Minor issue with installation of passenger side outermost bolt. Possible Jeep manufacturing issue on frame drilling probable. No issue with hitch; ample clearance of bolt holes. Slight resistance. Issue resolved: Finger tight turned in with wrench no damage to threads. No need to disconnect rubber supports for exhuast for this model (per the instructions). Torque specifications require 110 ft pds to complete installation. Recommend lift to complete this. Not probable on your back.
Excellent product, poor installation instructions. I have included the photo of the part that had to be removed before I could install the hitch - despite emailing prior to purchase to ensure an exact fit, there was no instruction to remove that part. Once that part was removed, fit was perfect. No need to temporarily remove exhaust, despite recommendation in directions. The vehicle is brand new, Rubicon 4xe. I will only use the hitch for a bike or luggage carrier, but it is heavy duty and would handle more that the Jeeps towing capacity

I researched and found that there is install note that needs to be added to the manual. Some models may have existing bolts attaching a plate with weldnuts on it. The hitch will need to be slid inbetween the bracket and the mounting tube witht he factory hardware reinstalled, securing the hitch.

Product is working great - heavy duty enough to tow a 3,500 pound little camper. Towing limitation is the Jeep, not the hitch!

Great, no problems. Transferred hitch to my new RV and I’m still using it.
Fastest shipping! Fit perfectly. Did have very slight difficulty with the fourth passenger side bolt, but after tightening the other three, the 4th slipped right in.
Very easy installation on the Jeep Wrangler JL 4 door. Instructions suggest lowering the muffler . I did not find that step necessary. Plenty of clearance to insert the mounting bolts through the frame.The hitch is well constructed.
Once I figured out the alignment of the bolts it was simple. The 2018 JL has two bolts and a bracket that are already there. U loosen, slide the hitch between the bracket. I reused the 2 stock bolts and used the 2 new bolts. Looks great! Total time for install about 40 mins with torque n the bolts. Havent used it yet but will let u know if there are any issues.

Some models will have existing hardware and a spacer installed in the hitch installation location. If your Jeep has these parts, you will want to remove the bolts and spacer, keeping the bolts for re-installation with the trailer hitch.

Well made product. It was harder to install than remov8ng the Oem. Metal was 1/4” vs 1/8” used a jack to persuade the hitch into place. I would buy again.
Installation was easy without issue, hitch appears substantially more robust than the factory one.
