Fully welded Honda Odyssey trailer hitch is strong and durable. Draw-Tite's Tested Tough guarantee ensures that this hitch exceeds industry standards. The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection.

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Connor: Hi everyone, Connor here today at etrailer.com. We're going to be taking a look at the Draw-Tite trailer hitch here for our 2020 Honda Odyssey. Our Draw-Tite trailer hitch here is going to be an excellent option for our Odyssey. It's going to have a Class 3 rating as well as a two-inch receiver tube opening. Now this is going to allow us to do tons of different things. If we want to tow a trailer, we're definitely going to have that option.
However, if we want to use this for a bike rack or cargo carrier, which would probably be more likely for the Odyssey owners here, we're going to have plenty of selection to choose from because of the larger two-inch receiver tube opening. So the trailer hitch here does have a Class 3 rating, so we're going to be able to tow pretty much any trailer we want. This Class 3 rating is going to provide us with a gross trailer weight of 4,500 pounds, which is how much we can tow or how much we can pull outward along with a tongue weight rating of 675 pounds. Now keep in mind, we do need to check our vehicle's owner's manual to ensure our capacities are rated high enough for our trailer hitch. If not, we would just need to abide by the lower of the two ratings. Now something else you might want to consider is this hitch is rated for use with a weight distribution system.
If we want to use one of those, our capacity is, are actually going to increase. If we use a weight distribution system to 5,000 pounds for gross trailer weight, the tongue weight rating, however, will remain constant at 675 pounds. So if we take a look at the side of the receiver tube, we're going to have the larger five-eighth inch diameter hitch pin hole, as well as the smaller hole here. The smaller hole here is going to be used with the j-pin stabilization device, which is going to be sold separately. However, it's going to work in conjunction perfectly with this hitch. The way it works is, we're going to insert the larger end into the hitch pin hole.
And then this smaller knob here is going to go into the other hole on the receiver tube. And basically, what this does is, once we tighten it down with our flange nut, it's going to put pressure on our ball mount or hitch mounted accessory. So we're not going to have near as much rattle or wobble inside the receiver tube opening. It's obviously going to cut down on movement as well as noise. And also it has a locking mechanism on here for security as well.
Now, if we don't want to use a j-pin stabilization device, that's fine. It's not required by any means. The hitch will still accept a standard five-eighth inch hitch pin and clip, and also, welded to the bottom of the cross tube and our receiver tube, we have these very large safety chain openings. We're going to be able to use the smaller s-type hooks as well as the larger clevis hooks without any issue at all. Now we have a couple of measurements here for you. The first one I like to take, for vehicles that sit low to the ground, like our mini van here, is the ground clearance measurement, which is the distance from the ground to the bottom of the receiver tube. This one is going to be particularly useful when we're selecting our ball mount so we can make sure we get the correct rise and drop. That's going to be about 12 and three quarter inches. And then finally, we have the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the outside edge of the bumper. That's going to be about four inches and this measurement will be useful when we're selecting our folding accessories such as a bike rack or cargo carrier so we can make sure they don't contact the vehicle in the stowed position. So in regards to installation, this is definitely going to be something you can install at home by yourself. We don't need to have the vehicle in the air to do so. We're not going to need any specialized tools and we can do so pretty much with very little experience. We don't have to drill into the vehicle at all. We have a few panels we need to remove. We need to lower the exhaust. Super simple stuff. Definitely something you can do at home by yourself. So let's jump right into installation and show you how it's done.So to start our installation today, we want to come over here on the passenger side of the vehicle. And if we look directly above our tailpipe here, we're going to see we have this little plastic deflector here. So we need to go ahead and remove that. In order to do that, there's going to be two push pin fasteners here. We're just going to simply take a trim panel tool or flathead screwdriver, and we're just going to pry out that center section there. Because once we do that, the rest of the fasteners should come down.So the next thing we need to do is we need to come over to the driver's side of the vehicle here, and directly behind our rear wheel we're going to see the skid shield here, which needs to come out. In order to remove this, we're going to have some push pin fasteners here on the outside. We're going to have a 10 millimeter bolt on the inside, as well as a Phillips head screw, which we'll show you next. Let's first go ahead and get these push pin fasteners out. So once we have all of our push pin fasteners on the outside removed, as we said, we're going to have a 10 millimeter screw on the inside here and then inside of the wheel well, actually, we're going to have a Phillips head screw we need to remove as well. So now we should be able to remove our panel here and set this aside. So the next thing we're going to do is, we're going to come along to either side of our frame rail here, we're going to locate our three existing weld nuts. One here, one here, and one back here. Now we're going to be using these to install our hitch. So we're just going to go ahead and clean these out since they are on the underside of the vehicle. That way we don't have any issues or threading in our bolts. So we're just going to be taking a spray lubricant here and a nylon brush. And we're just going to clean those out real good. Again, we want to do this for both sides. So the next thing we're going to do is, it's going to depend if our model has mud flaps here. If it does have mud flaps, we need to go ahead and remove our rear mud flap here. So here's our remaining two fasteners here. We're going to go ahead and take these out. Keep in mind, if we do have mud flaps, we're only going to be removing the mud flap on the driver's side of the vehicle. So the next thing we're going to do is, we're going to go ahead and drop our exhaust here. We're going to have two hangers here that we need to remove, but before we do that, we're going to go ahead and take a strap here and just connect it to two bottom points here on our trailing arms. That way we can support the tail pipe here, we break these hangers free. We're just going to take a penetrating oil here. Just any sort of lubricant you have here. We're just going to spray down the rubber isolator here where the exhaust hanger inserts into it. So now we can go ahead and pry the rubber isolator from our hanger here using one of two tools. We have an exhaust hanger removal tool, or we have a pry bar tool. The pry bar tool you're probably going to have at home. So that's what you can use for the step. So we should be able to slide it off like that, then we have our strap here supporting our exhaust. So now we're going to go ahead and get our hardware ready. We're going to take three of our 12 millimeter hex head bolts, as well as three of our conical tooth washers. We're going to set them on each side of the frame here. That way, when we raise the hitch up into position, we have them where we need them. Now keep in mind, these are conical tooth washers, so what this means is the teeth protruding out are going to help lock the washer in place. So those need to go up facing the hitch. So now with an extra set of hands, we can go ahead and raise our hitch up into position. Keep in mind, we want to start with the passenger side first because we have to come up and over our exhaust. Just going to get one bolt on now on each side to hold it in place. So now we're going to take our 19 millimeter socket. We're just going to go ahead and snug down all our fasteners. So now we need to torque all six of our fasteners here to 76 foot pounds. We can just go ahead and repeat this process on our other five bolts here. So now we need to go ahead and take our fascia, not our fascia panel, but we need to take our splash shield, our appearance panel, whatever you want to call it, that was installed over the driver's side. And we need to go ahead and make a notch here as our instructions state to make clearance for our trailer hitch. So we can reinstall this back on the vehicle. Now we're going to be coming about an inch inward, which is pretty much going to put us right to the edge of this little slot here. And we're going be coming 10 inches up. So we're just going to go ahead and mark our 10 inch mark. Going to be right here. About there. Now we're just going to go ahead and trim this out with a set of tin snips here. We're going to come directly on the inside of this little groove here. It's pretty easy to cut. If you have even just a razor blade or a straight razor at home, you should be able to get through this pretty easy. We're using some tin snips here, though. We can re-install this along with our mud flap, if present, and our heat shield deflector, or exhaust deflector, I should say. And that's going to do it today for our look and installation of the Draw-Tite trailer hitch here for our 2020 Honda Odyssey.

Fully welded vehicle trailer hitch is strong and durable. Draw-Tite's Tested Tough guarantee ensures that this hitch exceeds industry standards. The combination of an e-coat base and a powder coat finish provides excellent rust protection.Fit my 2020 Honda Odyssey Ex perfectly. Was east to install. Thanks for the great product and video.
Hitch fit as expected and all hardware was included. Arrived extremely fast!
Great product. Shipping was quick (2 days) and free shipping on our entire order. We ordered a bike rack, cargo platform, hitch receiver, draw bar kit, T-One wiring, locking J-pin, and a few other small items. The free shipping was excellent (bet the UPS driver hates us, though). The hitch receiver was falling out of the box and had some minor paint damage, but easily touched up. etrailer really should either double box the receivers or wrap the ends with bubble wrap, though. Pricing was excellent, and though the same product can sometimes be found a few dollars cheaper, the free shipping on such a heavy item made it a no brainer, especially considering that I could order all of the products I wanted and needed with free shipping on the entire order, where shipping costs alone from another vendor would have more than offset the small price difference. Regardless, etrailer’s online installation videos also prompted me to simply order everything from them, as the information that etrailer offers is definitely worth something to me for doing a self install. Now, onto the actual installation....I didn’t have ramps to back my Odyssey on, but we did end up jacking up the rear of the vehicle and using jack stands to gain a few inches of clearance (yes, the new generation Odyssey is lower than you think). We placed a moving blanket on the garage floor for comfort, as well as cleanliness. We found that we didn’t have to drop the exhaust, but one person holding it out of the way with a pry bar is sufficient, but you will need to lube the rearmost exhaust hanger, and allow it to slide a bit. I would highly recommend having two people for this project, as the receiver is rather heavy, and is easier to have one person hold the weight of it while the other starts the bolts. Note that the torque spec for all 6 bolts is [see installation instructions] lb ft, and requires some strength to achieve. We also reinstalled the trim piece from the driver side bumper after trimming (though some people have left it off). It was simple enough to trim with a [rotary] tool and cut off wheel. Overall, a rather simple installation, if you have the right tools. I will definitely purchase again from etrailer if the need arises. Great service and great prices. Again, the videos they offer, as well as copies of the printed instructions on their website did help sway my purchasing decision.
Online tools to identify the correct hitch for my vehicle were easy and seamless. The specifications and tutorial videos really helped me decide which hitch and harness would be best for my circumstances. Installation was easy. Three pictures show my finished project.
I am glad I went with the “below bumper“ installation rather than through the bumper facia. I installed a class III receiver onto my black 2019 Odyssey EXL. The hitch fits close to the bottom of the bumper and is nearly Invisible.
I am pulling a 6 x 12 PJ utility trailer. The vehicle and hitch perform marvelously. As well, the light harness installed easily and quickly, and cannot be distinguished from original equipment.
This is my second receiver hitch from etrailer and I could not be any more pleased with the service and product. Great job guys!
Overall great experience! The hitch arrived quickly once I asked that a back order item be removed from the purchase. It would have been nice to know that the balance of the order was being held awaiting the arrival of the backorder item. That being said, once I found out it was being held and asked that the back order item be removed, etrailer acted quickly in getting that item taken off the order and getting the balance of the order to me. After watching the videos from etrailer on installation i was able to get the hitch installed without a problem. It took me a little longer than estimated as i was installing it by myself and without a lift but still only a little over a hour.
I have ordered from a etrailer in the past and in a few years when I replace this vehicle I am sure I will again.
The trailer hitch receiver was shipped quickly and received within a few days. Installation was easy, but you definitely will need two people. I installed it on my 2018 honda odyssey and also bought a 40 dollar ramp which made it easier to get under the van. The videos are extremely helpful. This was the primary reason why I bought it from etrailer. I will definitely buy from them again. The only negative experience was the shipping box was ripped and the trailer reciever was sticking out which resulted in minor paint chipping. I would recommend that etrailer used a bigger box with styrofoam or padding to protect the ends. For this reason alone, I am docking a star for the overall experience.
Everything was set up for me to install. The video was spot on and I just followed along. Had trouble with the holes drilled into the van frame. 60k miles worth of grit/rust up in there. Was very careful not to cross thread. Rented a thread finishing tool from local automotive parts store just to be sure my threads were clean and the bolts snugged on perfectly. The plastic plate under the driver side was easy to trim by free handing on a table saw but be careful!!! With all the thread cleaning and being careful, the job took three hours which included a run to the store and multiple neighbors drinking beer and poking fun at me. But it’s done, looks sharp, and my new bike hitch fits (could be a little more snug but it’s all good). Two takeaways - clean the holes out on your car so you don’t cross thread and etrailer could do a better job wrapping (came wrapped in plastic and some of the paint got scrapped off - perhaps wrap it in foam before plastic?).
I ordered the hitch on Friday and it arrived the next day. Super fast shipping and the instructions were so simple I had it on my van by 9:00pm the day it arrived.
The hitch receiver installed perfectly. The video installation instruction was very well done and made the process very easy to understand. I deducted one star for the condition the hitch arrived in. It was only wrapped in protective plastic. During delivery the ends of the heavy hitch had broken through the wrap and paint had been rubbed off exposing bare metal. Before installing I had to buy pray paint to repair. Unit looks great installed .
Just installed the hitch on my 2019 Honda Odyssey and it looks great! Out of the box the quality and solid construction of the hitch caught my eye. The installation was very easy. It took me an hour because I was doing it by myself. I will be using it to pull a small trailer and a lightweight camper. I’m giving it a 5 star out the door for price, ease of install, quality build, and customer service.
The Draw Tite hitch came within 2 days of ordering and was installed in about 1.5 hours. The hitch itself is heavy duty and appears well constructed. I ended up moving the exhaust like the video recommends and didn't have WD-40, so it took a lot more effort. I also used ramps to give myself more room to maneuver. The area that was the toughest (surprisingly) was the screw the needed to be removed from the wheel well. I have big hands and it was a little tough to get in there. I have the dremel tool and that made cutting the trim very easy. Overall a pretty easy project.
3 stars
Minus 1 stars do to packaging. Product was damaged because of it. Why no box like before orders from etrailer?
Minus 1.5 stars for product. Poor packaging revealed the poor paint quality. Paint is flaking off badly.
I didn't pay for one of the top hitches you offer for my new Honda Odyssey to just have it start rusting and looking bad in a year. Very disappointed.
So far so good. A little bit of paint was rubbed off of metal (I'm assuming prior to shipping as packaging was good) Touched up with some black paint. Good now. Other than that seems like a great product.
I couldn't be more pleased with this product. The installation was extremely easy. The toughest part is getting the muffler disconnected to allow room for tightening bolts but that took 3 minutes with the help of a flat head screwdriver. Everything fit perfectly and the design is such that all original pieces of the vehicle still fit where they were prior to install. 30 minutes or so to install is all you need, including un-boxing. If you have an extra pair of hands to help position it's better, you'll just need them for a couple of minutes. Great product and service!
The hitch I received from your company only take me 20 minutes to install it was very easy but I did have a lift !
See picture of installed hitch below. one thing I might comment on is that the holes were not exact. I had to pry against the hitch in order to get the hitch to spread the last few millimeters to get the bolts started on the second side.
La caja llegó destruida y el pedido un poco golpeado y faltaron las piezas que van metidas dentro del chasis para poder atornillar los tornillos de las puntas
[The box arrived destroyed and the order was a little battered and the pieces that are inserted inside the chassis were missing to be able to screw in the screws.]
Installation went well. A couple of pics and Videoed a little afterward.
Customer service (ordering and speed of shipment) was excellent.
I had my local mechanic mount this to a Honda minivan. You should take note of two things: (1) the suspension of the minivan and the way this hitch mounts, MAY cause whatever you put into the receiver to drag a bit on driveway cuts. My bike rack drags a little going out of my driveway (2) pay attention to where the holes for the receiver pin match those on your accessory. For my Thule rack, it will not go all the way into the second pair of holes without rubbing up against the bumper, so I use the first set of holes.

Terrific after a year. Still working as designed, no issues
We purchased a hitch for our Honda Odyssey and I have never been so please with a company as I have with etrailer.com. The quality of the hitch was great and the price was fantastic. The best was their directions for installation. My husband was able to install it within 1.5 hours. It saved us quite a bit of money when we didn’t have to have an outside company install it. The hitch works perfectly for our bike rack. Great company, great quality.

It’s been two years and the hitch still works great. It’s solid and makes our bike trailer very easy to hook up to. Still very happy with the purchase.
Product when on with little or no problem. Working around tail pipe was the only difficulty.
I am not a professional and It took me 1 hour to install and it fits perfectly. You need to have some tools like a wrench with extension, and a crowbar/pry tool to push the exhaust pipe (last section) out with some WD-40. Once the exhaust pipe is out of the rubber boot, you need a second person to pull the exhaust pipe to the side/down and it will make your life much easier. There is a small piece of plastic connected to the bumper on the same side as the exhaust pipe and it's optional to be taken out. I cut 11" of the plastic instead of 10" per instruction and it fits well. Overall, it's a 2 people job. The hitch is high quality and it's highly recommended.

2017 Honda Odyssey EXL. Excellent product. Compare to the OEM trailer, this one tops it off and the reason is when you pay $1500 for the OEM trailer hitch, the bumper has to be removed and cut. On this one, 6 bolts plus some muscle and you are done. I cannot believe this trailer hitch cost much less and a lot less work than the OEM part. Anytime I see parts to be cut is a big red flag. I will buy it again on my next car.
I finally received a hitch that was not beat to a pulp by UPS. The thing was perfect. No scratches or chips and the paint is really nice. The install on my 2019 Odyssey was super easy. A perfect ft. I did not even have to lower the exhaust. However you really should in order to get a torque wrench to one of the 3 bolts. 5 of the 6 bolts receive the proper 70 lb-ft of torque. I am a long time customer of etrailer. They do a great job and will continue to buy from them.

Hitch has been perfect for the bike rack. Living in a climate with road salt I clean the hitch as much as possible because they tend to rust very quickly. The paint tends to wear off at the receiver so its a good idea to hit it with paint from time to time.
They advertised this as being compatible with the j pin anti rattle pin. BUT IT IS NOT. Wouldn’t be a big deal but could have went with the hitch that is $XX cheaper. But what really got this bad review is customer service had an attitude telling me that they couldn’t make the hitch have 2 holes if it doesn’t have 2 holes!!!!! SHOULD HAVE ORDERED FROM [online]!

I will have our customer service team reach out to you. Draw Tite phased out the J pin and discontinued having a second hole in their hitches a few years back.
The product is great. Looks good and is strong on the Odyssey. Installation was easy. I slid a piece of wood through the hitch hole to meet up with the part's center of gravity and jack the thing up from that point. That allows me to complete the installation by myself. Words of caution: Don't put your face right below the hitch during installation without something to block it should it fall off of the jack.
I couldn't give this a 5 star rating because of the poor packaging, resulting in paint chips at one end of the part. It wasn't bad enough to return, but make you wonder if rust would start from there.

Everything still working as expected. No issues!
