Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Great. Delivery was fast and correct. Hidden Hitch is great. Bike rack is what I expected. Thank you.

by:

Great product. This is the 2nd Hidden Hitch I have purchased. Quick delivery. Fair price. Very satisfied with etrailer.com.

by:

The installation was very smooth about 45 minutes. The hidden hitch maybe a little short for easy access. My last hitch on my Honda came out further to the rear bumper which makes access easier.

by:

The front bolt holes were slightly out of allignment, so had to remove the hitch and file and lengthen the holes 1/16th. After doing this everything lined up.
I installed a Hidden hitch when I bought my 2007 Honda Odyssey and It fit perfectly.
I had to do a little extra work this time but am happy with the results.

by:

I purchased the Hidden Hitch receiver for my 2011 Odyssey and I am very pleased. I chose the free standard shipping option and received an email the following day saying etrailer was going to upgrade the shipping at no cost! I received the received within a few days of the order. Great service and followup. Would recommend purchasing from etrailer any time.

by:

Purchased a Hidden Hitch from eTrailer for a 2002 Honda Odyssey. From what I recall, it arrived on schedule with all the necessary parts. My mechanic was impressed at how easy it was to install and wire. It only took about an hour and a half for him to install.

by:

2003 Honda Odyssey - Fast shipping, 30 - 45min installation...Make sure to use WD40 and pre-thread bolts. Bottom line - I am completely satisfied with Hidden Hitch and etrailer.com.

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for 2015 Honda Odyssey
For a trailer hitch for your 2015 Honda Odyssey we'd recommend the Draw Tite part # 75270 which is a confirmed fit and is a 2 inch hitch and has plenty of towing capacity for towing. I attached an install video for you to check out as well. For trailer wiring you'd then want the # 118521 which is a confirmed fit as well and is the most reliable option we have. I attached an install video for this for you to check out as well. Since you wanted to do some towing you might be interested...

First you will need Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75270. This hitch has a maximum tongue weight rating up to 675 lbs and gross trailer weight rating up to 4,500 lbs. If the towing capacity in your Odyssey owner's manual is lower that the capacity of this hitch, tow according to the weight limits in your manual. • Trailer Hitch and Bike Rack for 2008 Honda Odyssey
To start, I recommend using Draw-Tite hitch # 75270, which is a confirmed fit on your 2008 Honda Odyssey. This is a Class III, 2" hitch which is a complete bolt-on installation so no drilling into your Odyssey's frame will be required; I've added a link to a video of this hitch being installed on an '08 Odyssey for you to check out. As for a bike rack, I recommend the Hollywood Racks Sport Rider SE2 # HR1450Z, which uses padded hooks to grasp your bikes by the top tubes and adjustable...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2006 Honda Odyssey
For towing I recommend going with a Class III trailer hitch with a 2 inch receiver for your 2006 Honda Odyssey. The most popular option is Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 75270. I have linked a video showing an example installation. It is a very straight forward install so I am sure you can do it yourself at home. Since you plan on towing I also recommend etrailer ball mount kit # 989900. It comes with 2 ball mounts; one with a 3/4 inch rise or 2 inch drop and one with a 2-3/4 inch rise or 4...

  • Comparing Curt and Draw-Tite Trailer Hitches for a 2015 Honda Odyssey
Curt decided not to design hitch # C13068 to account for those welded on pieces you referenced in order to maximize the size of the side hitch brackets. As to why they chose to go with a 5 bolt design I can't say. The Draw-Tite hitch # 75270 sounds like it is what you would like more since it accounts for those welded on pieces and attaches in 6 places. If it were me I would go with Draw-Tite hitch # 76025 for the 2015 Honda Odyssey because with it only the receiver is visible. Installation...

I took a look at the owner's manual of your 2017 Honda Odyssey and it mentions that with two passengers you can tow up to 3,500 lbs, which from my research looked to be the GVWR - or Gross Vehicle Weight Rating - of the 2018 Airstream Sport 16. With that in mind there are a number of components you will need, starting with a hitch. I recommend the Draw-Tite # 75270 for your Odyssey; it is a Class III hitch with a 2 inch receiver and 5,000 lb towing capacity which is more than enough for...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2008 Honda Odyssey for Motorcycle Carrier
With a hitch installed like the Draw Tite part # 75270 installed on your 2008 Honda Odyssey you would be able to install and use a motorcycle carrier like the part # e98873. This hitch has more than enough capacity so it would be a great option. Suspension enhancement like the part # THROD2 would be a great option to help support the rear suspension.

Adding on a 350lb wheelchair and 55lb carrier # FHG67ZR is definitely going to have the suspension sag a bit. The # 75270 has a maximum tongue weight of 675 lbs with or without weight distribution so it will be able to handle the bike rack and bikes without an issue. This rack will hold your 2 adult and 2 kids bikes without issue due to the arm outside to outside width to help with the smaller kid bike frame sizes and the arms are long enough to give 7 inches spacing between the bikes. • Trailer Hitch and Bike Carrier Recommendations for a 2010 Honda Odyssey
The safest way to carry bikes is by using a trailer hitch and hitch mounted bike carrier. Trunk mount carriers only go up to 3 bikes, any more than that and it would put way too much stress on the attachment points on the vehicle. And the roof is probably not wide enough for all 4 bikes, let alone able to support the weight of 4 bikes. So the options are a combination of a trunk mount and roof mount set up or a trailer hitch and hitch mount bike carrier. I recommend the simplicity of a...

The height of the trailer hitch when we measure for the videos can vary based on the year of the vehicle, inflation of the tires, or even how much cargo is loaded in the vehicle so the numbers we give are good to use as an estimate. If you check out the attached video of the Draw-Tite # 75270 being installed on a 2003 Honda Odyssey you can see that the ground to hitch height it 12 inches and from the center of the hitch pin hole to the rearmost edge of the bumper is only 4-1/2 inches. • Is 2014 Honda Odyssey Rated for Use with Weight Distribution
We have to always recommend you stick with the vehicle manufacturer when it comes to weight distribution ratings.
