Package was pretty beat up, hitch paint was chipped exposing metal in multiple places. Packaging could have been better to isolate/pad the hitch in the packaging.
Installed this on my 2017 Honda HRV and the installation went very smoothly. This was the second hitch I have installed from etrailer. The first was on my prior Dodge Caliber. Both the instructions and online videos were a huge help. Everything looks and feels solid and well made. Thanks for all the work on the vehicle specific installs. Those videos are why etrailer is my go to for hitches! Keep up the great work!
This hitch was received in a very nice secure package .
The product is more than what I was expecting as far as quality power coat/ paint excellent. On my 2017 Honda HRV the only thing that needs munitions is the muffler hanger tabs , 1 of them has to be bent up and the one on the car body needs bent down , both only 1/2 inch each if not The muffler will hit the head of the new bolt for the trailer hitch . Just to note : I did push 1 bolt back up into the frame tube while trying to bolt the hitch up. Had to go buy a flex magnet to fish it out . other that that it fit like a glove. Simple to install one / 1 hr. Total . Instructions are very good that comes with it.
This hitch receiver works as expected. I purchased it and had my mechanic install it, and have had no problems with it towing around a small trailer and boat with my 2022 Honda HRV. Also works good with my 1Up double bike rack.
