Specs:
The EcoHitch Hidden trailer hitch is designed to be as inconspicuous as possible. The hitch's cross tube bolts onto your vehicle's frame, behind your rear bumper. No drilling or welding is required. Once the hitch is installed, only the receiver will be visible beneath your bumper. This means that your vehicle can maintain its stylish, from-the-factory look, and you won't have to do any major modifications to its body or frame.
With a combination of aerospace-grade aluminum, steel, and stainless steel, each EcoHitch is made of a strong metal alloy that will withstand the test of time. The lightweight alloy is composed of recycled materials. Traditional steel hitch manufacturing can use coal or oil, which can contribute to harmful gas emissions. The EcoHitch's recycled materials limit the carbon footprint during manufacturing, so you get a sturdy trailer hitch while also helping the environment.
This EcoHitch trailer hitch is tested for durability and sturdiness. Using Finite Elemental Analysis (FEA), individual points of stress on the hitch can be detected and remedied. Designers can accurately test the hitch to ensure that it will meet or exceed SAE J684 standards. The EcoHitch Hidden trailer hitch is carefully researched and strength tested for a durable, high-quality hitch that can resist damage while on the road.

This custom-fit trailer hitch with a hidden cross tube installs behind your vehicle's rear bumper, leaving only the receiver visible beneath it. Aluminum and steel alloy construction is durable and eco-friendly. Powder coat finish resists rust. This hitch is more expensive than some of the other offerings for the Bolt but there is none stronger. This thing is bomb proof and perfect for carrying my bike rack. Installation was very easy, watch the video. I do not like the inch and a quarter receivers which is why I like this racks two inch receiver. Very Strong. Spend the extra money!!
I just use it for a bike rack. But the bike rack is heavy. No problems at all with the rack at all, once it was installed.
I'd been a bit bummed installing it because in the instructions it just tells you to put the car pieces back on in the reverse order. But if you do, you end up having to take the hitch back down to thread the car wires through first. Hopefully they have revised the instructions over the last year.

Guess the highest praise is that I dont even think about it. I just use it and it works
This is not installed yet, (weather), but it's strong and beautiful looking! And it's heavy! (A good thing!) Great welds!!
It's going on a 2023 Chevy Bolt EV 2LT. I will do my best to let you know how it went after it's installed. It would be great to have someone actually say, "It also fits a '23 model; confirmed!" But I don't know if etrailer's reviews system will let you go back and update a review. I'll try.
(Looking at it, I expect it to fit.)

Update 18 Nov, 2023: This trailer hitch seems to be about the best you can do for a Chevy Bolt! Instead of getting the biggest truck on the planet to go to the bank machine with, I just hook up the trailer when I need to. And then I unhook it again when Im going to get bread and milk, etc. I got it on, its pristine, its barely noticeable until you put the actual hitch in the receiver, and its just nice! The Bolts not tow rated, so theres no way Im going to floor it with a trailer hooked up, and I always try to drive gently with the one pedal driving turned on. You can now get the real stuff because its a two inch receiver with a tongue weight rating of 300 pounds. The hitch, itself is only rated 2000 lbs trailer weight, but the other parts are rated for up to 8000 lbs with the 2 and 116th tooless ball installed. Oh! And its a 2023 Bolt! All these places are a little slow updating it fits perfectly on a 2023 Bolt EV. Quite easy to install! The hardest, trickiest part is actually getting the bumper cover on and off. And you have to cut the plastic on the very bottom of the bumper cover a little. The wiring was a little harder, but I got that done, too. I got a Tekonsha 119147 for that. A wiring diagram for a Bolt would save you hours, but Im good at electronics, so I just did it the hard way and found the wires.
This is an excellent trailer hitch. It was easy to install on my Chevrolet Bolt. I have hauled motorcycles, bicycles, and utility trailer. Would certainly recommend.
The hitch was reasonably easy to install. It took me a few hours with the biggest difficulty being cutting the bottom of the plastic Fascia to the right size and putting all the rear plastic back on the car.
Since attaching the hitch, it has worked perfectly. It looks good too. Friends with Bolts are surprised to see my car with a hitch. I use the hitch to hold a bike rack. The rack installs and can be removed just as easily as on the hitch on our Subaru, which was professionally installed. I've never experienced the hitch or the rack hitting the ground when going in our out of driveways or other places.
Nice to not have to use gasoline to transport bicycles, which obviously also don't use gas.
Installation was easy and exactly as demonstrated in the video and shown in the manual.

A year later, everything is still good. I am very happy with this hitch.
I really like the hitch! We use it to carry a harbor freight hitch rack for a large cooler that we strap to it when we go shopping. It is plenty sturdy, works well, is relatively easy to install and looks great!
I have only used the hitch 3 times since I installed it, but it is very good. Installation was reasonably easy with both the video and printed instructions.
Good solid hitch. Arrived two days after I ordered. Took about two hours to install, I went slow and easy though. Haven’t used it yet, but it is solid as a rock.

Great, no problems
Like all things in the world today, it took a while to get here from the factory. However, since the video posted on etrailer website explained so clearly what tools I'd need and the process of removing and replacing the parts on the Bolt, I was thoroughly prepared when it showed up on the UPS truck. I'm impressed with how it fits and the relative ease of installation. The 2" receiver is just the right height and length for my bike rack, too. Anyone with a Chevy Bolt should have one of these hitches if you want to carry bikes or put a cargo rack to carry camping gear, etc.
Installation time was very reasonable, just a bit longer than an hour, with two people. It was a simple installation, and based on the recommendation of another reviewer, I used a little of the Loctite blue threadlocker. The vehicle's bumper mount studs do extend a wee bit past the nuts after tightening down, so that was good. I plan to use the tow receiver for a bike rack and my ham radio antenna mast mount. Glad the instructions included the torque specifications included, and an etrailer video on YouTube was also extremely helpful in getting all the required tools ready. I feel pretty good about this installation. We have a 2018 Bolt and needed to cut a "T" shaped cutout on the fascia, basically a 5"x3" wide, then 3" x 5" long. The cut was centered and fits nicely. We noticed on the first cut that was undersized that it prevented popping the fascia back into place nicely, so a careful accurate cut to fit is important.
Solid built product to mount a 2" bike rack on the back of my Bolt EV. Out of the way when not being used. DIY possible install using the tips from etrailer video.
Great product! Husband and I installed the hitch on our 2020 Chevy Bolt EV in less than 45 minutes. We use it for our 2-bike rack and it works wonderfully!
I just installed it and thanks to the video etrailer, it went great and fits and works great!
Installation instructions were accurate. I was able to do it solo in an hour or so but I am pretty handy.
I have a Class 1 trailer, but I purchased a Class 2 hitch because I plan to keep my Chevy Bolt EV for the rest of my life, so who knows what the future holds. The hitch was super easy to install which saved me money since the installer charged by the hour.
I was blown away at how easy it was to install. The installation video was the perfect companion. Shipping was immediate and it arrived a day early. I'm right at the 300 lb tongue weight in these photos.
The hitch fits well and seems very sturdy and well-made. Installation was mostly straightforward with the help of the online videos. Very happy with it.
The hitch is great: sturdy and exactly what I need to mount a 4-bike rack.
I attempted to install it on my 2020 Bolt but ran into an issue with the video not detailing well enough (at least for me) the last step in removing the bumper fascia: how to remove the flanges, particularly when they don't want to release. It looked fairly easy, but even with the appropriate tool, the pressure I applied made me afraid of cracking the fascia (the 1st clip did release). So, I hauled it to my local auto repair shop (fortunately only a few blocks away so I didn't have to reassemble what I'd removed) and they completed the job. Other than that major drawback, the video provided good step-by-step instructions to complete the job.
Works great. Had it on in 3 hours including a slow trip to the hardware store. Low wheel well clearance for the torx bolts on a Chevy bolt.
Did install myself, was easy without any issues. The instructional video did not show a few key details, notably the torque setting for the bolts and how to pull the bumper body work off the clips from the rest of the body panels. Overall very happy with the results, if you're wanting to use a good heavy duty bike rack with your Chevy Bolt this is the one to get. (I work with bicycles for a living so I'm definitely putting this setup through its paces!
My 15 year old son and I installed this hitch on our 2017 Chevy Bolt in about 75 minutes. It went exactly like the video on the etrailer site described. I also bought a cargo carrier from etrailer and it all works great together. Very happy with the setup.
I have installed three years over the years from etrailer on different cars! The hitches are great! The video instructions are easy to follow. To install thi hitch I had to remove the rear bumper cover but it was easy due the great instructions provided by etrailer. I recommend them to anyone needing a hitch or accessories.
Fantastic! Much easier to get this installed than I had expected. Total job was an hour and a fair bit was just taking dealing with the facia screws in the wheel well next to the tires. The hitch itself is well built and a great installation design. I opted to make two cuts and make a flap in the very lower facia that I might be able to repair if I ever take the hitch off. The Curt powered light converter was wired and mounted in the facia. I found it easiest to not completely close the rear hatch when towing so the facia lights become both running and brake lights. I did not have to get to the hatch main brake light wiring by doing it this way. This hitch was worth the money.
Hitch is very well built with perfect welds and a nice paint job. Very easy to install. Quick service from the etrailer

This product has been great for carrying my bicycle rack. Very strong and wiggle proof. I use a One Up rack and the combo is great.
