Was easy to install and video helped with running the wire to the power distribution box up front.
Great product and super easy to install on my Durango. 30 minutes from start to finish.
Hitch receiver was very straight forward and easy to install. As easy as lowering the spare tire, removing 4 bolts and re-installing the 4 bolts with the hitch in place. The only issue that I had was installing this on my own as the hitch has a little weight on it and holding it in place while aligning the holes and screwing in the bolts was a challenge. I suggest if you have a buddy available to use their extra hands. I put this hitch to immediate use and was not disappointed! The hitch receiver is a little low so I suggest a ball mount with a 4 inch drop and mount the ball so that the mount raises it up for easier use of your trailer. All in all I am very happy with this purchase and suggest to everyone in the market for one!
The trailer hitch was a complete breeze to install! I needed a hitch to install for my dodge durango so that i can use a thule trailway 4 bike rack. Box came chewed up and torn but the hitch itself was packaged very carefully and was not damaged upon delivery. The install videos and specs were very detailed on etrailer.com website and helped me out alot..the hitch itself has sone weight so 2 people are needed to complete the install..i have already ordered more items on this website so kudos to etrailer.com!
I can only give 3 stars because I could not believe how this company shipped my hitch. How can you pack an item like this in a box with NO bubble wrap or other protection? The box had holes all over it from the hitch banging around inside of it. I had a few areas on the hitch that had paint scratched off of it. I had to buy rustoleum to cover it up. I would have returned it but I needed it for vacation.
The install was very easy. Directions were included and there was a video on this website on how to install it. I was happy with the price and received the hitch within a few days.
In the future, these items should be completely weapped in bubble wrap and there should be packing paper in the box to fill the void spaces.
fast shipping easy install. swapped out less rated hitch for new beefier model love the mount bracket on new hitch old one didnt have that, had to mount plug where i could,and it deformed plastic bumper cover should have went with this model to begin with.pics show old vs new.I mounted plug on top to try and take up gap where old plug was

The downside was it was left out in the open for folks to see it. The box was a little damaged and metal had broken through. I’m hoping nothing is bent or damaged.

I'm not much of a mechanic when it comes to working on vehicles, but I managed to install the hitch in a little over an hour by myself without jacking it up. Has worked great for hauling my jet ski around for the past year. Thanks for a great product
Hitch receiver mounted well and should work just fine. My disappointment was how it was shipped (blown through box)and as stupid as it is the rating sticker was all wrinkled.
Wasn’t expecting to tow a trailer across country so this was a last minute purchase. Never heard of etrailer, but they had good reviews. I took a chance and ordered online - glad I did. Great price and I had the hitch/receiver in less than a week. It took me less than an hour to install (I had [moving company] add the wiring harness). We towed a larger [moving] trailer from NC to AZ without any problems what so ever. I highly recommend this product and etrailer.

Very strong simply to install. Used bolts & mounting holes that came with my 2016 Durango RT. Insturctions were easy to fallow. Looks great.

Just like the description states, it is a straight bolt on installation. Very simple.
Hitch was simple to install, following the video. Total time, including getting tools and cleanup was about 30m.

This is the second time I've ordered a trailer hitch from etrailer and once again they've been excellent to deal with. The product was delivered when promised and in good condition. I agree with a lot of other reviewers that the packaging could be better. Part of the hitch was poking through the box which caused it to get scratched but with a little touch up and rust protection it's an easy fix. What really sets etrailer apart from any other company I've looked at is their video instructions. The fact that they've taken the time to make detailed videos with easy to understand, step by step instructions for what seems like every vehicle out there, is simply amazing. A tip on installation for the 2017 Dodge Durango: make sure you have a lift or ramps to complete this job. I tried getting it done without either and there just isn't enough clearance on the right side to move the torque wrench. Installation of the hitch took less than an hour as it's only 4 bolts. It definitely helps to have a second person with you to hold one side of the hitch while the bolts are threaded. I haven't run the wiring harness yet but once again, etrailer has a very simple "how to" video on that.

Still working as good as the day I installed it. I mainly use it for a cargo rack or a bike rack but Ill pull a utility trailer maybe a dozen times a year. The receiver shows virtually no signs of wear rust and is as solid as the day I installed it.
Easily installed. Actually my wife and her friend installed the hitch and wiring. I installed the adapter wiring and attached to the hitch. Seems like a great product.
Very well made! This is my 3rd hitch I have purchased from etrailer. Great service, prices and fast delivery!! This took all of 15 min to install on my 17 Durango GT. What prob took the longest was lowering/raising the spare. Not installing wire kit this time as I only need for bike rack. Very clean looking.

Just wanted to give a big thumbs up to etrailer. This hitch is the best out there and went on rather easily, haven installed it by myself. A second set of hands would be great but not necessary. It fit my Durango perfectly and didn't have to make any modifications. I have been hauling my boys baseball equipment with it and have had no issues or worries.

The Draw-Tite Hitch has worked fine, without a flaw. I live in the Northeast and the sand and salt have not caused any rust , as of yet. Highly recommended

It’s been a year since I purchased the hitch. I’ve towed a trailer over a thousand miles with it and have had no problems what so ever. More recently I was rear ended while stopped. The hitch and receiver took the brunt of the impact about 25mpj and came away fully functional with no bend or break.
