Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

I installed the hidden hitch on my back in the back yard in about a half hour.It was a little short of fitting perfectly.About a 1/2 inch so I had to draw the side brackets with the spacers to the truck brackets. But in the end it was in place and looks great.

Easy to install. The only tricky part was keeping the spacer washer in place for the frame. Use a piece of tape and it will hold the washer in place while you tighten everything else up.

  • Will Full Size Spare Fit With Draw-Tite Hitch on 2011 Ford Raptor
If you install # 75691 on your 2011 Raptor you will not be able to store your spare underneath after hitch installation. The same is true for any aftermarket hitch. If you want to add a hitch the only option will be to relocate your spare.

  • Availability of Hitch for 2013 Ford F-150 With Factory Installed Tow Hitch
There are two ways to add a hitch to your 2013 Ford F-150 that already has a factory hitch installed. The first is to add the TorkLift # TLF1005H. This is only designed for short bed models and trucks with a factory hitch rated for 10,500 lbs. It also installs along with the factory hitch instead of replacing it. The second option is to use the Draw-Tite Max-Frame # 75691 you were looking at. However, you can't simply install it by removing the existing factory hitch. You will need to...

Versions with the higher-rated 11,500-lb factory hitch are NOT compatible. The factory hitch serves as the mounting point as shown in the linked instructions. Is your hitch factory or aftermarket? • Differences Between Class III And IV Hitches For A 2012 Ford F-150
Based on the sticker and weight ratings showing it would be a class III hitch. The difference between a class III like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Item # C13903 and IV hitches like the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Item # C14002 is typically the weight ratings. The hitches we offer for the 2012 Ford F-150 are class III and IV. The Class IV has a 1000lb tongue weight and a 10000lb towing capacity and when used with weight distribution goes up to 1200lb and 12000lb. Our Class III hitches...

  • What Does Weight Distribution Mean when Selecting a Trailer Hitch for a 2011 Ford F-150
Trailer hitches are rated in two ways. The most common rating is weight carrying. This rating is for towing a trailer with a standard ball mount that transfers all of the trailer tongue weight to the towing vehicle. The second rating is weight distribution. A weight distribution system is used to reduce sag at the back of the vehicle when a trailer is attached and to transfer the tongue weight of the trailer to the vehicle and trailer axles, making the hitch capable of higher trailer towing...

Hey Eric, so you already have a hitch and you want to change it out with another 2" hitch? If that's the case, then you can use the TorkLift SuperHitch Hero Trailer Hitch Receiver # TLF1005H, which will replace your current one, has a 2" receiver as well, and has a nice 8,000 lb towing capacity. • Aftermarket Hitch Options for 2010 Ford F150 With Bent OEM Hitch
I did some checking, and found that the hitch on your 2010 Ford F-150 is fully integrated into the bumper brackets so you can't just remove the existing OEM hitch and replace it with an aftermarket hitch like the Draw-Tite # 75691 you'd looked at. That's the bad news, but there are options. • You can go to a salvage yard and find a 2009-2014 F-150 that wasn't equipped with the factory hitch, and get the bumper and bumper brackets off of it and use those to replace what's existing on...

  • Trailer Hitch Recommended for 2013 Ford F-150
The actual towing capacity of your truck will depend on which 6cyl engine it has (3.37 or 3.5L), cab style and which gear ratio in the rear end it has. For the 3.7L engine, the max towing capacity number I see is 6700 lbs for a regular cab 4x2. For the 3.5L, 11300 is the highest rating I see. So, if you won't tow much over 5000 lbs, the Draw-Tite class III, part # 75691 would be a fine choice. If you'll be towing heavier trailers than that, I'd recommend the Curt Class IV, part # C14002...

  • Could Draw Tite Hitch # 75691 Fit 2010 Ford F-150 with Dual Exhaust
You'll have to compare the exhaust setup you installed on your 2010 Ford F-150 to the picture I attached to see if your aftermarket exhaust will fit with the Draw Tite # 75691. Our hitches like this have only be tested on vehicles that have factory exhaust so we don't can't say for certain if they will fit with aftermarket setups. Since this hitch is a bit narrower than most I could see it fitting though.

All of the hitches available for the 2009 Ford F-150 are rated for 6,000 pounds gross trailer weight and 600 pounds tongue weight capacity. However, all of the available hitches (see link) are rated for use with weight distribution which will allow the hitch to tow 10,000 pounds (# 13368) to 12,000 pounds (# 75691) depending on the hitch. These are ratings for the hitch, but not the truck. You will need to check the owners manual to determine if a weight distribution system can be used...

For your 2013 Subaru Outback the Draw-Tite part # 75673 would be a great option for you as it has a 2 inch opening and Class III capacities. None of the hitches we offer for your vehicle are rated for use with a weight distribution system. Usually this has more to do with the vehicle than the hitch itself.
