Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.
Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.
In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Installed it in one evening by myself. I used a floor jack instead of asking, or paying someone to help install the hitch. People talked about having to use pry bars, and pictured a car lift with an angle drill with a step bit, so I expected the worst. I was pleasantly surprised that no lift was needed, and a regular drill with a regular bit was the only thing needed to drill out the one vertical bolt hole in the frame of the vehicle. No pry bars needed! The other 4 horizontal bolt holes lined up great. Made use of the fishing wire on 3 out of 5 bolts. Everything was included with the hitch - all the locking washers, nuts and bolts. Sorry, I didn't take the time to snap any pics. Basically started out by bolting one side up with one bolt and then the other side. Tightened up the 4 horizontal bolts, after that I drilled out the vertical bolt hole. Fished the fifth bolt through the hole and bingo! Installed in about 2 hrs. with my 2yr olds help. Lol. After he relocated the nuts and bolts...loved every second of it! Could have possibly done it in 15 minutes with a lift.
Came quickly and all the holes lined up well. The fish wire was a true Blessing. Used a floor jack to lift it into place and presto.
The hitch was delivered within a week. The installation did not go quite as smooth as I had hoped. Two of us worked on it for about 2 hours to get it completed. It was very tight and required many heavy swings of the hammer to get it in place. Every time we hit it up, it moved forward. So the holes did not line up. It took some hard swings and even lifting the vehicle by the hitch. We eventually got it in place. I am not sure if it was the hitch or the vehicle dimensions that were not quite right. 1/4 inch more would have made it a breeze. The fish wire is an amazing tool. Fishing the bolts through the frame was so simple, I could not believe it. I ended up making my own my wrapping the bold from head to end with wire because I messed up the one that came with the hitch. Drilling the hole requires a sharp bit and patience. Overall I am very impressed with eTrailer. We installed three hitches in about 3 hours.
Installation took about an hour with a little help...Surprised to see that the unit was made in MEXICO...Hope to get many years of use from the hitch...
Great fit, easy ordering, all around wonderful experience.
The hitch was very easy to install, I used too jacks one on each side of hitch. then I used the wire to pull the bolts through and, tighten when all done. then I drilled the hole in frame last.
Very easy to install and only takes following instructions
