Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario. Technical Support

At we're committed to the products we sell, and to our customers. 1999 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Hitch works well on my 1999 Dodge 1500 short bed. I didn’t need to move anything like spare tire or exhaust hanger. I did drop the exhaust hanger temporarily to drill a two inch hole in the frame. It took about 2 hours to install. That may be because I did it myself. These things are heavy so I would recommend getting a buddy to help out.

It works great! I ordered this hitch because my bumper lost integrity due to NY winter salt and I needed a hitch that didn't depend on the bumper for support. This hitch fills the need. I am a contractor and haul a lot of tools around. Plus, my wife has a greenhouse that we heat with wood and I haul 50 cord of firewood 2-3 cord at a time. Installation took about 1-1/2 hours in my driveway. I've had no problems with this hitch or the service I got from etrailer. I will definitely be using them again.

  • On What Vehicles Can Reese Hitch 37069 Hitch be Installed
The hitch part 37069 has been replaced with current hitch model # 37133 and this Draw-Tite Max-Frame 2-inch hitch fits quite a number of early-model-year pickups from GMC, Dodge and Ford. You can see all confirmed vehicle fits on the hitch's linked product page. However, no model years of the Dodge Dakota are included among the compatible vehicles. The linked page displays all hitches that DO fit the 2000 Dodge Dakota, all of which are the 2-inch receiver size. As you review the installation...

The Draw Tite hitch part # 37133 is a confirmed fit for your 2015 Ford F-150. We don't have any installed pictures of this hitch on a truck like yours but the main beam of the hitch does fit behind the bumper and spare tire like you mentioned.

I wasn't able to find any information based off that sticker, however we do have plenty of options that directly fit your truck if you're interested. For your 1999 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup, I recommend going with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 37133. This hitch has very similar weight ratings, and has a higher weight capacity than the hitch you are inquiring about, at 750 lbs maxium tongue weight with a WDS, and 7,500 lbs maxium GTW with a WDS.

We have hitches that fit your 2004 Ford F-150 like the # 41549 but the # 75506 you mentioned is not a fit for your truck. The # 41549 is a Class III like the one you referenced and has higher towing capacities at 6,000 lbs trailer weight and 600 lbs tongue weight. For a more concealed look we also have the Draw Tite # 37133 but it has slightly lower towing capacities at 5,000/500 lbs.

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 14001 is a fit for a 1992 Ford F-150 Flareside and it's what I recommend using. It has a class IV rating with 2" receiver tube opening that will work great for towing, exceeding the capacity of the truck so you don't have to worry about weight capacity. If you don't already have a trailer wiring harness, you'll need to add the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118316.

  • Hitch Solution for 1999 Ford F-250 with Deep Drop Bumper
The Curt hitch you mentioned is more of a multi fit hitch and would not be the best choice for your truck, but we do have a couple options. The closest fitting, but still probably not close enough would be the # 37133 which has it's hitch opening 7-1/4 inches down below the frame mounting surface. This isn't quite enough though as you'd need 1/8 of an inch more. The # C15316 does drop a bit more than what you'd need but it's going to be best fitting option. Other choice you have would...

In order to see if either of these will clear your Ranch Hand Rear Bumper you need to measure from the bottom of your frame to the bottom of the bumper in the center. While we do have a solution for you, the etrailer Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier # e98ZR is not compatible with 8-lug pattern wheels on your 2004 Ford F-350 dually. This is because the # e98ZR can only support wheels that have 6 lugs or less. For a great alternative, I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier # c31006.
