Video Transcript for Trailer Hitch Installation - 2007 Kia Sportage - Draw-Tite
Today on this 2007 Kia Sportage were going to install part number 36363 from Draw Tite. Our first step is go ahead and lower the exhaust by removing two rubber exhaust hangers on the drivers side and one on the passengers side of the vehicle. Well spray down the exhaust hangers with lubricant to make them easier to remove. Then well go ahead and remove the tow hook bracket by removing five bolts. On this vehicle there will be two bolts on the drivers side that we have to remove as well, and thats where the hitch will mount up as well. This will be identical on both sides of the vehicle.
At this point we can go ahead and install our hitch. Its a good idea to have an extra set of hands to help hold up the hitch while I install the hardware. On the hardware with the conical tooth washers you want to make sure the teeth on the washers are always facing toward the hitch. With our hardware loosely installed well go ahead and tighten them down and then torque the bolts down as specified in the instructions. With the bolts torqued down we can go ahead and reinstall the exhaust.
With that that will finish it for our install of part number 36363 from Draw Tite on our 2007 Kia Sportage.

Dodge Charger
Done. Took about an hour. This was easy compared to the one I did on my charger. In that one you use existing tapped holes which after 4 Syracuse winters were rusted and had to be re tapped. This car had bolts to remove and replace which I had checked prior to ordering to be sure I could get them out. Came out easily and new bolts slid right in. I used your shipping box and a rope to support the exhaust. And I was able to get the right side in place prior to removing the rubber bushings that hold up the muffler so only removed the 2 on drivers side. The tailpipe held up the passenger side of hitch while I put in first bolt on driver side making it a one old man job. I just need to borrow a torque wrench from a neighbor to be sure it's tight and done.

Do it yourselfI installed this hitch myself. I was surprised at the simplicity of the installation. It took me and one helper less than an hour to install the hitch and wiring on my Tuscon. As soon as we were done I was able to hook up to a trailer and go. No fancy equipment, no welding, just follow instructions and my truck was ready to haul stuff. Ordering was easy, hitch shipped and arrived in timely manner - I'll refer all my friends and all my towing needs to etrailer.com.

Installed everything in under an hour. The only thing that took time was pulling the muffler from the rubber hangers. Everything lined up right and the wiring harness fit right also. What satisfied me most about my order is that they show you how to install everything before you even placed it. Great product and great site!
