I've had it a year now and its as nice now as it was when I bought it. No slop in the receiver and it still has a nice coat of paint. I live in the rust belt so its standing the test of time. Good value good product great service at etrailer.com. 830505

2004 Dodge Ram Pickup

Hitch arrived earlier than expected. Box was beat up and hitch paint marked up. One nut somehow came out of the bag but thankfully did not fall out of the box. Hitch could have been wrapped so shippers couldn’t take away from the factory finish. Beyond that, hitch was easy to install. The wire to fish through to pull the bolts into place was brilliant once I realized you push it through then attach the bolt into it. 825489

Thank you---for your incredible service and help. I really appreciate communicating with your service people. UPS lost my first ordered hitch but e-trailer made everything right. The second hitch didn't arrived on Monday but did arrived on Wednesday evening. I'm thankful for the great service of e-trailer and those who still care about customers. Solid hitch and easy install. Aftermarket exhaust was in the way so it took a little longer than normal due to having to move hanger mounts. 774994

2005 Dodge Ram Pickup

I had a difficult time finding & choosing a receiver hitch for my older Dodge until I checked etrailer.com. The amount & quality of the information available made it much easier to find an applicable hitch. I was pleasantly surprised with their best price guarantee & at how quick it arrived. There was a little bit of a learning curve with the install kit, but again, the quality information & tip videos on the etrailer site made the job very easy...& as advertised for my hitch...NO DRILLING REQUIRED! I would recommend etrailer.com to anyone needing towing equipment & will use them again myself in the future. 662151

Still as advertised...Perfect! Would buy again!

2003 Dodge Ram Pickup

This is a great receiver hitch - well made, is a true no drill installation and fits the ball mount perfectly on my 2003 Dodge Ram 2500. However, the directions need a bit of clarification/re-writing since on a Ram 2500 (and possibly other Ram trucks) the fasteners need installed in a particular order due to space restrictions. I'd recommend the following procedure. Install the square and rectangular washers used in the frame tubes. You'll need a 3 foot piece of #12 copper wire and some tape to get the rectangular washer into position. It looks like it'd go through the frame hole but mine was just a bit too big so I attached the wire to it and fished it into position like you'll do with the screws later. Next, attach one of the screws to the fish-wire. Have a buddy help hoist the hitch into place and then use the fish wire to get a bolt into the rearmost vertical hole near the end of the tube. Screw on the nut - repeat on the other side. Align the hitch, then tighten down and torque to 110 lb-ft. This needs done since there is almost no way to properly torque it with the flange bolt installed...just not enough room. See photo. Install the other fasteners and torque down...done! Look forward to towing a travel trailer with this hitch! 432286

So far I have nothing bad to say about the product, or the company. I ordered it last week and even with a holiday I still got my order within 5 days. Easy instructions little time. The true test of the product will be in a couple weeks. But I will definately be using this website again, and will be recomending it to all my friends. Thanks All 42096

  • Hitch Recommendation for a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 Towing a 7800 lb Trailer
The Curt Hitch part # 14361 that you referenced would be a great hitch for your 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. I checked with Curt and this hitch will fit your truck as long as it is not a 6 foot bed. If you do have a 6 foot bed you could get the Draw Tite Hitch part # 75420 as this is a similar hitch that would work with a 6 foot bed. Both hitches have enough capacity for your trailer.

  • Trailer Hitch for a 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 Diesel Dually
Yes, the Curt trailer hitch # 14361 is listed as a fit for all 2004 Dodge Ram 3500 series trucks. But it does not fit HemiSport Quad Cab, Ram Rumble Bee or SRT-10 models. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you. I also recommend etrailer ball mount # EBMK2416. It comes with a ball mount, 2 hitch balls, a hitch pin with clip, and a storage bag. If you need to add trailer wiring use # C55504.

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch For 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab
There are a few options for trailer hitches for your 2008 Ram 1500. I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch, part # 14361. This is a Class lV trailer hitch and it has a 2 inch receiver opening. This hitch is a heavy duty hitch and requires no drilling for installation. For a Class lll hitch I recommend Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, part # 75420. This has a 2 inch receiver opening and also requires no drilling for installation. Both of these hitches do have a higher...

  • Replacing Factory Hitch on a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Long Bed with a New Trailer Hitch
All of our trailer hitches that fit your 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 with a factory hitch, will sit below the factory hitch. Since you are removing your factory hitch, the Curt hitch I recommend is # 14361 as it's 6-1/2 inches from the top of the receiver tube to the bottom of your truck's frame. It's a Class-IV hitch and has a gross trailer weight of 10,000 pounds. See the diagram I created for you. You will want to use that dimension and compare it to where your current hitch sits. I...

  • Will Curt Class III Trailer Hitch C14361 Fit Quad Cab 2004 Dodge Ram
Yes, the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch # 14361 that you referenced will fit a 2004 Dodge Ram ST or SLT Quad Cab 1500//2500/3500 with the HEMI engine as long as it isn't equipped with the factory hitch. The HEMI Sport is an add-on factory package that features, among other things, different trim at the rear that prevents fitment with this hitch. As long as you don't have this particular package the hitch will work great. The Class III hitch features a 10,000 pound towing weight capacity...

  • Recommended Class IV Hitch for Towing 7500 lb Camper Trailer with 2004 Ram 1500
The Curt Class IV Hitch you referenced, part # 14361 would be the correct hitch for the 2004 Ram 1500 unless it already has the factory hitch, or it is a Hemi Sport Quad Cab, a Rumble Bee or an SRT-10 model. If your truck already has the factory hitch, you will need to go with the Draw-Tite Class IV, part # 41929. This hitch is designed to install so that the receiver sits below the factory receiver. Like the Curt model you referenced, it will not fit the Hemi Sport Quad Cab, the Rumble...

  • Best Trailer Hitch for a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 4x4 to Tow a 4,500 Pound Trailer
Curt trailer hitch # 14361 would certainly do the trick and it does fit your 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 SLT 4x4. But this hitch might be a bit of an overkill since its capacity is 10,000 pound gross trailer weight. It is a great option if you will be towing a heavier trailer in the future. But if you do not anticipate towing any more than the 4,500 pound trailer then I recommend hitch # 13333 which is rated for 6,000 pound gross trailer weight and 600 pounds tongue weight. That being said you would need to talk to someone at the Chrysler/Dodge dealer to obtain the actual ratings on your hitch and truck. You should be able to find the tow ratings on your truck in the owners manual or inside the drivers door jamb. Also if you could find out the manufacturer of the hitch on your dodge that would help. • Trailer Hitch to Tow a 4,000 Pound Trailer with a 2016 Ram 1500
Curt trailer hitch # 13333 for the 2016 Ram 1500 is rated for 600 pounds tongue weight and 6,000 pounds gross trailer weight so it is rated for more than enough for the 4,000 pound trailer. I have included a link to a video showing and example installation of this hitch for you. If you plan on doing some towing I recommend etrailer ball mount kit # EBMK4. • Curt High Capacity Hitch for 2003 Ram 3500 with OEM Hitch
For a high-capacity hitch that fits under the OEM hitch, you would use the Curt Class V, part # C15409, which is the only hitch Curt offers that is compatible with the OEM hitch. In order to install this hitch, your truck must have the factory bumper. As you can see in the install instructions, no part of the OEM hitch would to be removed. I have captured a diagram from the instructions that shows how the Curt Hitch would sit in relation to the OEM hitch.

If the white sticker inside the driver door jamb on your 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 reads 07/2002 as the date of manufacture, the correct Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver for you will be part # C14020, not part # 14361 which is for trucks made after 11/2002. This trailer hitch has the same class IV rating, 2" receiver tube opening, and plenty of capacity for your 6,500 lb camper just like the one you were looking at. For your truck you would need the part numbers # TLD4101 and # TLD3109 for camper tie downs since you have a 2500, long bed with an aftermarket hitch. The # C15409 is for trucks without the factory hitch so it would not fit below one.
