Installation on my 2015 Durango was a breeze! Looks great and works great! Using it currently for a bike rack for 2 e-bikes.
My trailer hitch receiver arrived, I unboxed it, it looked small so I was kind of leery that it wouldn't fit as stated, but I was WRONG! I don't want to steal the line from O.J. Simpson, but the hitch "fit like a glove!" LoL The next project will be tackling the wiring. With the help of etrailer's installation video...the exact match of my vehicle, I'm sure it'll be fine!

So far, the hitch meets expectations. I have not used it for hauling a trailer, but I don't see how it couldn't perform that function. I am waiting to install the wiring harness until this weekend. We would only use this hitch for small trailers. This was installed on a 2022 Dodge Durango GT Plus.
I chose to buy this model because it was promoted as being built in the USA. I saw sub $100 versions available on Amazon, but I didn't want to roll the dice on Chinese quality. The purchase/checkout process was efficient and easy. Shipping was quick and the hitch was packaged adequately in a large box. No damage to the finish was noted from shipping and handling. The minor scuffs noted were probably there from the manufacturing process.
INSTALLATION: the process is not difficult, but there was a major difference on our vehicle that was not addressed in the included instructions or the online video. There is a large, semi-circular plastic shield to protect the spare. This shield MUST be addressed so that you do not have a layer of plastic between the metal parts of the hitch and frame rail. Eventually the plastic will crack and fall out, leaving the bolts loose. All you need is a 10mm deep well socket to remove the nuts and you will then have enough room to slip the sides of the hitch *behind* the plastic. Once the bolts are torqued in place (I also used Red Loctite and reduced the torque by 4 lb-ft for wet threads) the plastic cover can be forced in enough to reinstall the nuts.
I have a mobile sharpening business and have an enclosed cargo trailer that I work out of. We just purchased a Dodge Durango and needed a hitch and wiring harness to pull the trailer. I have never installed a hitch or wiring harness before, but etrailer.com has the instructions posted so you can read them before making a purchase. It seemed easy enough, so I made my order.
The order shipped the next business day and arrived in two days!
Installing the hitch was a very simple process of removing 4 bolts, lifting the hitch into place, and reinstalling the 4 bolts. (Hint: If you’re installing on a Durango, or possibly other vehicles, lower the spare tire and get it out of the way. If you have big hands like me, it will be much easier to get to the bolts.)
This hitch tucks very nicely under the bumper. There is no worry about banging your shins on it! It looks good too.
If you are needing a hitch but are reluctant to try to install it yourself… don’t fret! etrailer.com has very clear instructions that are easy to understand.
I would highly recommend this to ANYONE needing a hitch and wants to save a few bucks by installing it yourself.

Fit was a little snug and needed to use a floor jack to get the last bolt in place but otherwise an easy installation.
The hitch arrived quickly and is good quality and easy to install. I would recommend etrailer for every one

Looks good and functions perfectly after a year
My 2018 Grand Cherokee didn’t have a hitch. This system it tight to the bottom of the bumper kinda looks stock. I really like the round tubes it mad from, a lot nicer then the square tube I had on 2012 Grand Cherokee. It’s still rust free makes the back of the truck look tough!! I would Recommend it to anyone

I am very happy with this hitch. It arrived on time and well packed so it wasn’t all beat up before I even installed it. Installation was a breeze and the hitch was a perfect fit. Bolt holes lined up perfectly. It has been a year since I installed it and no signs of rust so far not even on the welds. I live in Florida and I frequently use boat ramps which means a high salt environment. Excellent job on the coating! I am very happy with this product and with Etrailer and I would recommend them without hesitation.

Watched install video which was very helpful, instruction sheet was almost useless. Total time to install hitch and wiring system was about 2 1/2 hours with someone helping. I added split tubing wrap to wiring harness to prevent any potential damage to small wires. I used set of auto ramps to lift rear of jeep up for access. Had to make add on bracket to attach wiring plug bracket. should recommend ordering a hitch with bracket mount. Hitch install video more helpful than instruction sheet. Only problem instruction sheet did not provide torque number for hitch mounting bolts and nether did video.
Rating less than excellent due to pore written instruction.
Good sturdy product. Reasonably priced. Arrived on time and packaged well. Installed in 20 min. Lines up perfectly on a 2018 jeep grand Cherokee.
The product was exactly what I was looking for. Installation was a snap with the outstanding video as a guide. I would definitely recommend etrailer for their great products and service.
We've only used the hitch for a bike rack so far, which it's been excellent for but it's good to know that we have a strong, study high quality hitch there for if and when we ever do tow anything.
The reason I picked the etrailer Hitch Receiver is because of the easy install but mostly the Sharp look on the Back of my Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited.
Looks not only Sharp but also Tough looking! Didn't have a scratch on it from delivery. A perfect fit too! Installed in less than 15 minutes because I didn't grab the breaking bar to loosen the bolts from the frame!!!
Hitch fit perfectly on my jeep and was very easy to install (with the help of my neighbor). Needed some rust/bolt loosener to get the factory bolts loosened from under my Jeep but once that was applied it was pretty simple. Definitely recommend for anyone looking to add a solid, affordable hitch to their Jeep.
