Fit like a glove.Very easy to install and very well made.Video instructions were very helpful from etrailer for installation. I used a hydraulic floor jack to lift hitch into place.Im 62 years old and did it by myself in my garage.Very easy and looks great too. 331802

Ford Mustang

Excellent product ,simple installation. Could not round up anyone to help me, as usual, so it was a solo act. Used the floor jack and a lot of patience to install on my new F150. Had put in an Etrailer hitch on my Mustang several years ago so I knew what to expect. Except this was a little heavier. But if a 70 year old with bursitis in both shoulders can do it, anyone can! Had to feed bolts and spacers thru different holes as spacers were too big. Mounted the forward pair first and then just pivoted it into place for the rear pair and the ground screw.Solid well made part, great Company to deal with. Had hitch delivered in 4 days. 549900

All is fine, took it on several camping trips down to the gulf coast and Vermont. Had a heavy bike rack mounted on it, worked fine

Everything seems to fit well, I watched the youtube installation video and that helped more than the instructions that came with it. A couple things to mention that may help you is make sure you align you grounding wire with the hole on the frame before you tighten the nuts, if it was mentioned anywhere I didn't see it, but you need the hole on the hitch to align with the hole in the frame. I also struggled a little with fishing the spacer and carriage bolt through the driver side frame. Had to pull back out and run it under something that seemed to be preventing it from pulling through. I struggled getting the nuts torqued to 210 lb-ft (I did not use a lift), but I'm not a mechanic by any means so you may have better luck. 809244

2017 Ford F-150

Easy to install you tube video very good. The only problem I had is .The flanges and carriage bolts were wider than the hole at the end of the frame. Had to grind 20 to 30 thousands of a inch off on the bench grinder . I would still recamend Etrailer than the local Auto parts store 797683

Received tow hitch in great shape but the shipping box was beat up and I was worried that the parts were missing. However, smart thinking from etrailer team, the parts and instructions were tape in a bag to the hitch instead of loosely placed in the box.Though the instructions are easy to follow, I recommend the online installation video as well that shows close up video shots. It will take about an hour if you do it by yourself , but also recommend having a pair of second hands to connect the hitch to the frame. I did it by myself using a hydraulic floor jack to hold in place while bolting down. It took me a little over two hours because I lost a bolt in the frame and had to fish it out... Difficulty rating for novice: Easy (moderate if done with no help). It fit as stated and overall pleased. Awsome product. 797356

The product was as we were expecting, the installation took about 15 minutes with no hick ups. Thank you Victor 796537

I make my living as a weld fabricator. I've built my own trailer hitches in the past, and planned on doing the same for my current truck. I priced the material, and compared it to a quality, USA made hitch. I can't build the hitch I want for what this company is asking for a quality product. I'm very pleased with the quality of the item, the durability of the finish, and how easy it was to install compared to other hitches. 792998

Excellent product. OK instructions , pics not too easy to see. Video online was much better. My only problem was with Ford. The frame was slightly midi stalled so the hitch wouldn’t fit between the rails. Also, had to grind out one side so the bolt assembly would fit through. Took way longer than it should have, but I got it on and it looks and works great 783092

2015 Ford F-150

The hitch fit perfectly. It was definitely worthwhile to watch the videos on the installation, as that was hugely helpful. Really pleased with the quality and finish of the hitch, even though it tucks up perfectly and you cannot really see it. The price was very reasonable and the hitch arrived in only a couple of days. I did choose to install the 7-way Trailer Connector into the bumper cover, as there is a hole behind the plastic already for the factory connection, as you can see in the pictures. A 2 inch hole saw made quick work of that part. The T-Connector wiring harness was awesome. This was definitely plug in and ready to go just like the video. In general, great price and product support. Thank You 778936

  • Parts Needed To Tow a Travel Trailer With Brakes Using a 2016 Ford F-150 XLT
In order to setup your 2016 Ford F-150 XLT for towing the Keystone Outback Ultra-lite 260UML you will need a trailer hitch, trailer wiring harness, and brake controller. These will be all that is required but I would also recommend a weight distribution system as well to both help with vehicle sag and potential trailer sway issues. For a trailer hitch, I recommend the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13118 which is a custom fit because it has a hidden cross tube (see photo). For...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for 2017 Ford F-150
For your 2017 Ford F-150 without a factory trailer hitch the most popular hitch option is the Curt hitch part # C13118. We had the chance to install this hitch on a 2017 Ford F-150 (see attached install video link below), and found that it fit and worked really well. If you have the round 7-way trailer wiring connector already on your truck then all you need to use is the part # HM40975 to have trailer wiring. If you wanted to do some towing you might be interested in etrailer ball...

  • Why Are Two Different Capacities Listed on Trailer Hitches for 2018 Ford F-150
We do have a nice selection of trailer hitches available that are confirmed to fit your 2018 Ford F-150. The listed capacities that you mentioned indicate the towing weight capacity of the base hitch and the capacity when it is used with a weight distribution system. Using a weight distribution system will indeed increase the hitch's weight capacity as you noticed. A weight distribution system is used to reduce sag at the rear of the tow vehicle when a trailer is attached and to distribute...

  • Wiring Harness and Ball Mount Recommendation for a 2018 Ford F-150
The Curt Trailer Hitch # C13118 is an excellent choice for your 2018 Ford F-150. Then for wiring you can either install the Curt # C56110 if you have the rectangular OEM plug or the Curt # C55774 if you have the round OEM plug. Both of these options give you a 4-Way flat connector that will match up with your small utility trailer. Since pickups can be used for a variety of towing applications I highly recommend installing the B&W Tow & Stow 3-Ball Mount # BWTS10049B. This comes with...

I noticed that you were looking at the Curt Hitch # C13118 which is a confirmed fit for your 2015 Ford F-150. This would be a good choice and it happens to be the most popular Class III trailer hitch for customers with your F-150. This hitch also has a 6,000 lbs. towing capacity so it will work for your boat and trailer. Now if your trailer does not have brakes all you would need is the part # 37185 as an adapter to convert the 4-way to a 7-way. If you do have trailer brakes you would need the # ETBC7 instead of the # 37185 and a brake controller. This kit comes with everything needed to wire up the 7-way and install a brake controller.
