Nice solid built. I was looking for a tow hitch for my E93 , 2011 BMW 335 convertible and I have not found on any website. I was hoping that the BMW 3 series should work on my car and YES it is a perfect fit!!! I only want to tow a Jetski and bike rack so no heavy weight and this product was so easy to install. I did not remove or un-mount anything . It was just a snap on and tight the bolts. FANTASTIC!!!

I put this hitch on my BMW 335iX and it fit PERFECTLY. I was a little concerned about the fit because things are VERY tight under that car given that it's all wheel drive and has true dual exhausts but it fit perfectly into existing holes in the frame, bumper mounts and cross-member. It shows below the bumper but isn't obtrusive or ugly. We use it primarily for a hitch-mounted bike rack.

2019 Mazda CX-5

First off, my early 2007 335i did not have the expected holes in the subframe to attach the horizontal bar piece. Drilling the appropriate holes turned out to be more difficult than expected because the bolts were 1/2", required a 9/16" drill bit for a clearance hole. This bit size requires a drill with a 1/2" chuck. So ended up having to buy a new drill to drill the hole. Next issue is related to design. That horizontal bar attaches to the subframe. Well the subframe on our BMWs is connected to the body by way of rubber bushings. So a solid link between the hitch (attached to the unibody) and the subframe (which can move in relation to the unibody) is asking for trouble, particularly if you are a fan of spirited driving or have old and worn out bushings allowing for more subframe movement. It's clear the hitch was designed for ease of install, but I'd personally prefer to spend the extra time to pull the bumper off and mount a hitch to the OEM mounting points (frame rails) now that I've seen how this attaches in person. Maybe this is standard in the aftermarket hitch world, but this hitch bolts ON TOP OF some existing nuts... End of the day, for what I need it for (a 175k mile beater towing a utility trailer), it will do its job. But if I was putting this on nicer, lower mileage vehicle, I'd definitely look into a hitch that mounts to the OEM points.

Product works like it says it does. Installed it on my 2011 335xi BMW, it was easy if you have the right tools, despise it looking difficult. Took some time but it fits like a glove.

Smooth installation and very good fit and finish. No modifications needed like the Valley hitch.

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2010 BMW 335i with Dual Exhaust Sedan
We do carry a hitch receiver that will fit your 2010 BMW 335i as long as you don't have a diesel engine. The Curt # C11756 is designed for your BMW. I attached a picture of it installed on a 335i with dual exhaust. If you're going to be towing then you'll also need a wiring harness and ball mount. The wiring harness for your BMW is # C59236. This will provide a 4-way trailer connector to power a trailer's lights. The recommended ball mount with the Curt hitch is # C45521. It provides...

The Curt trailer hitch receiver you referenced, their 1-1/4-inch Class I hitch # C11756, is a correct fit for the 335i and 335xi sedans with gasoline engines. The hitch installs without drilling using included hardware. At right you will find a link to the installation instructions for this hitch receiver. • How to Carry Bikes With 2009 BMW 3 Series Convertible
The Curt Trailer Hitch # C11756 that fits a 2009 BMW 335i is only a fit for the 4-door sedan; in regards to modification you never want to modify a part of your vehicle or the hitch in order to make something fit as it will not have the needed support, will void warranties and could cause other unforeseen damage. Since an '09 BMW 3 Series isn't commonly thought of as a towing vehicle, I assume you were looking for a hitch so you could use a bike rack and that is definitely still possible...

  • Trailer Hitch and Wiring Recommendation for 2007 BMW 335i Sedan
For your 2007 BMW 335i Sedan we have the Curt hitch part # C11756 which is a confirmed fit and would work well for towing a smaller trailer. For wiring you'd want the part # C59496 which I attached an install video for. For a ball mount you'd the # C45521 and for a 2 inch ball part # A-82.

  • Is There a Trailer Hitch Available for the 2013 BMW 335
I really wish there was a hitch option I could recommend for your 335 XDrive, but at this time none of our hitch manufacturers have anything that would fit. In the off chance you are looking for a hitch to carry a couple bikes on a bike rack I would have a solution for you. The Thule Raceway Bike Rack part # TH9001PRO would be a great choice that is confirmed to fit your vehicle. What makes this rack far superior to the others is the attachment system. It uses 4 retractable coated...

  • Installation Instructions for Curt Class I Trailer Hitch # C11756 for a 2007 BMW 335i
I've linked the installation instructions for the Curt # C11756. The hitch is compatible with a 335i sedan, non-Diesel model. If you were planning on using the hitch for towing purposes, you'll also need the trailer wiring harness, part # 119179KIT. The recommended ball mount is part # C45521 and use part # F-4 for the pin and clip. For a 1-7/8 inch ball, use part # C40001 or for a 2 inch ball, use part # C40018.

  • Recommendation for Carrying 4 Bikes on a 2011 BMW 335D
I spoke with my contact at Curt Mfg. and found that the Curt Trailer Hitch, # C11756, will not fit on your BMW 335D vehicle. At this time there is not a trailer hitch available for the 335 Diesel models. The Trailer Hitch Support Strap, # 18050, that is mentioned in the hitch description is required by Curt Mfg. for warranty. We carry this strap, see link. A Class I hitch is limited to carrying two bikes because the weight of the bikes out farther on a hitch will put too much torque...

Some bike racks have built in cable locks or locking knobs and/or a hitch lock either included or that can be added. If you already have a bike rack that has neither of those features you can use a cable lock such as # e98891 to secure both the bike and rack to the hitch by routing the cable through the bike/rack and the trailer hitch safety chain loops. If you do not already have a bike rack the Swagman Chinook # S64683 is a good option. It is Class I hitch compatible and comes with...
