Box came busted open with hitch sticking out of the box! Hitch is scuffed up before making it onto the car.

Well, I ordered the same hitch from another online retailer, we know which one, and it was delivered slightly out of alignment. It would not fit my 2017 Nissan Altima. I returned it and ordered another. Same issue but this time it was even worse, mounting arms visually bent. I found this hitch on etrailer.com and was able to actually talk to a real person who listened to my saga and helped get a hitch shipped to me that was perfect. I installed it and everything worked out well. Thanks y'all!

I like that etrailer had a selection of hitches for me to choose from. Product came as described, instructions were complete, durability seems fine. Etrailers installation videos are spot-on, and very helpful. Phone contact with customer service was very positive, like walking into an auto parts store with friendly and helpful Parts staff. I refer people to etrailer when and where I can with no hesitation.

2017 Nissan Maxima

Took a little over an hour to install with most of the time spent loosening the nuts to remove the rear mufflers. I followed the manufacturer instructions and enlarged one of the existing frame holes with a step bit, rather than drilling another access hole. It worked great. This hitch fits perfectly on my 2017 Maxima and is tucked in just right for my bike rack. I strongly recommend the product.

This was an excellent part. Easy installation. Sturdy design. Primarily used for a bike rack

Very nice receiver. I like that you don't have to put holes into the trunk of your car to install this like other receivers. Fits nicely on the 2019 and newer Nissan Altima's. Due to the car being low, the receiver is a bit low as well. Would need to make sure the bike rack has an upward rake to prevent any problems with hitting the road when going over bumps. Only problem I had was there were two scratches on the receiver. Not bad enough to send back. Cheaper to touch up the non painted surface of the scratch.

2014 Nissan Altima

Love the product. We followed the instructions and it was easy. We did add a very small procedure and that was to put one drop of superglue between the bolt and the plate because when we were putting the hitch up onto the bolt we were pushing the bolt up into the rail. 1 drop of superglue held the bolt and plate together so it had some weight dropping through the hitch. Product and instructions were great. I would also rank customer support at a 10 out of 5, better than I could imaging before I bought the product and even after I bought with so many people checking in with me making sure everything was ok.

I ordered 2 complete hitch assembly kits. They fit perfect and look fantastic. You can hardly notice them under the cars.

- C11352
by:

The hitch went on just fine. If I have anything negative to say about the components is that the 4 bolts that were supplied with the kit could have been 1/8-1/4" longer. When fully torqued there was still 1-1/2 threads left unused in the mounting nuts. Why not go for full thread engagement? It is only stronger & there was nothing that would've been interfered with by a slightly longer bolt protruding from the nut.

Ask the Experts about this Curt Trailer Hitch

  • Class 2 Receiver Hitch Availability For 2014 Nissan Altima
I have confirmed that the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver I - 1-1/4" # C11352 is a good fit for your 2014 Nissan Altima. This is a Class 1 hitch; there are currently no class 2 hitches available for the 2014 Nissan Altima. This is mainly due to the fact that this vehicle is not meant for towing a trailer, and the class 1 # C11352 will be able to handle everything your Altima is capable of doing. This hitch has a max towing capacity of 2000lbs and a max tongue weight of 200lbs, which...

  • How Can I Haul 4 Bikes On My 2016 Nissan Altima?
I have a solution to transport 4 bikes, but because your 2016 Nissan Altima has the 1-1/4" Curt Receiver # C11352 which is a class 1 hitch you are limited to using a 2 bike carrier. Unfortunately, you cannot use the Saris Freedom 4 Bike Platform Rack # SA4414B that you have. I recommend mounting a 2 bike carrier on the back of your 1-1/4" hitch and then mounting a 2 bike carrier on the roof of your Altima. For a hitch-mounted bike rack I would go with the Swagman XC 2-Bike Rack Platform...

I have attached an install photo for you as well so you can see what it will look like once installed. • Recommendation 1-1/4 Inch Drawbar with 3-1/2 Inch Rise on 2015 Nissan Altima
We have a 3-3/4 inch rise that works great with your trailer, item # C45023 . It's the Curt Class I Drawbar - 3-3/4" Rise - 11-1/2" Long - 2,000 lbs drawbar. It is slightly taller than your desired rise. But once the trailer is hooked up, the weight will bring it down closer to that 3.5 inch you were looking for. Also, this drawbar is a Class I which suits your hitch. We have a review video for this product that I've included. You could use a Class II drawbar with your Class I hitch...

I believe you are asking about the maximum tongue weight for your 2011 Nissan Maxima and according to the owner's manual it has a maximum tongue weight of 100 lbs and maximum towing capacity of 1,000 lbs. This would be the max even though the trailer hitches available for your '11 Maxima such as the Curt # C11352 have a capacity of 2,000 lbs for towing and 200 lbs tongue weight; you always need to go by the lowest-rated component, which in this case is your vehicle.
