- C11189

I'm very pleased with the trailer hitch - one year and about 1000 miles of towing - later. Overall, the hitch installation was well organized and I felt confident with the project. The largest challenge was drilling into the underside of the car -- that's some very hard steel!! More advise on what type of drill bit / technique would have been appreciated.

Wow. Ordered this on Wednesday and got it on Saturday. All at a time that all the installers were saying they could not get hitches! Very pleased, thanks for your prompt delivery.

- C11189

More difficult to install than anticipated....otherwise completely satisfied.

  • What Drilling is Required to Install Curt Class I Hitch C11340 on 2013 Mercedes-Benz E550
All Curt hitches for the 2013 Mercedes-Benz E-Class models require drilling. The hitch that fits your E550 (both coupe and convertible) is their Class I hitch # C11340 and to install this you will drill into the bottom of the steel bumper beam but you do not have to drill or cut the rear fascia panel. This trim panel is removed in the first step of the installation and later re-installed without modifications. The linked instructions list the tools needed and the step by step process. If...

  • Tip for Helping Drill Hole to Install Curt Hitch # C111891
Have you tried using a smaller drill bit and then graduating up to larger diameter bits till you reach the full 17/32 inch diameter hole that needs to be drilled to install the Curt hitch # C11189.

  • What Drill Bit is Needed to Install the Curt Hitch Part # C11189 on a 2013 Mercedes-Benz E350 Wagon
There are several different types of drill bits you can use to install the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C11189 on your 2013 Mercedes-Benz E350 Wagon. We recommend using a carbide drill bit as they are designed to be used primarily on metal surfaces but any 17/32" bit will suffice so long as it is rated for use on metal surfaces such as titanium or step drill bits. The 17/32" diameter hole will be the end goal but it will be necessary to work your way up to that size to which a...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver for 2013 Mercedes-Benz E350S4 Wagon with Sport Package
Curt has recently updated their fit and the # C11404 is now only confirmed to fit 2014-2016 E 350 Wagon models. You will definitely want to use the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Class I # C11189 for your 2013 Mercedes-Benz E350S4 Wagon with sport package. This will work well with a Class I rated bike carrier and Curt Stability Strap # 18050. I've linked the page to all your Class I bike rack options. You will want to note that Class I hitches are restricted to 2 bikes for even racks...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2013 Mercedes-Benz E350 Wagon With Sport Package
I reached out to my contact at Curt Technical and they said the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver 1-1/4" # C11189 does not have any listed exclusions based on the sport package. They said it will work just fine with your 2013 Mercedes-Benz E350 Wagon with sport package. This hitch does require stability strap # 18050 for any non-trailer load like a bike rack or cargo carrier. Drilling is required for installation and I recommend using a carbide drill bit. This vehicle is not rated for towing,...

  • Trailer Hitch Availability for a 2012 Mercedes E-350 Wagon
The only hitch we offer for your 2012 Mercedes E350 Wagon is the Curt hitch part # C11189 which is a 1-1/4 Class I trailer hitch. 2 inch hitches are reserved for larger vehicles like SUVs and trucks. That is why there isn't one available for your vehicle.

  • Can Trailer Wiring from Europe be Used on a 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-350 Wagon
Thank you for the purchase of the Curt Trailer Hitch # C11189 for your 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-350 Wagon. I checked out the Jaeger kit that you referenced and unfortunately it will not fit your vehicle. The wiring is specific to European models and the connector on the end has too many pins on it. If you look at the comments underneath you can see that someone from the States purchased it not that long ago and it wouldn't fit their model. We haven't installed the Curt Powered Tail Light...

  • Will Curt Trailer Hitch C11189 Fit A 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-350 BlueTech?
I reached out to my contact at Curt and was able to confirm that the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11189 you were looking at is confirmed to fit your 2011 Mercedes-Benz E-350 BlueTech as long as it is a wagon. If your vehicle is a sedan you will need the # C11001 instead. Both of these hitches are Class I hitches with a 200lb tongue weight rating and 2000lb rating which makes them perfect for carrying a bike rack, cargo carrier, or even light duty towing. • Best Hitch And E-Bike Option For A 2013 Mercedes-Benz e350
A hitch bike rack is going to be your only option. First, here are your hitch options. If you have a Sedan then you need # C11001. If you have the wagon you need # C11189 and if you have the coupe or convertible # C11340. All these options are a class 1 hitch. When it comes to a 2 e-bike rack when using a class 1 hitch receiver, you only have one option and it's a great rack! It is extremely solid and can carry up to 60lbs per bike, fits in a 1-1/4" hitch and weighs just under 50lbs....

  • Availability of Trailer Hitch for 2013 Mercedes-Benz E-350 Wagon
For your 2013 Mercedes-Benz E-350 wagon, you'd want to use the Curt Class I hitch, part # C11189. The # C11001 is a fit for the E-350 sedan only, and wouldn't fit your wagon. If you're planning on doing some light duty towing, you'll need a ball mount like part # C45521 and # A-82 for a 2 inch trailer ball or # A-80 for a 1-7/8 ball. You'll need to see your dealer for the trailer wiring harness. I'll also link you to our selection of accessories that are compatible with your vehicle.

  • Hitch Recommendation for a 2013 Mercedes E350 Wagon
There is only one hitch we carry that would be confirmed to fit your 2013 Mercedes Benz E350 wagon. The Curt hitch part # C11189 is what you would need. You would mainly only see just the hitch opening at the rear of your vehicle so it would be largely hidden or out of sight. There is some drilling required to install this hitch, but no rear fascia trimming.

  • Trailer Hitch, Ball Mount, and Ball for a 2013 Mercedes E350 Wagon
In order to add a trailer connector to your 2013 Mercedes E350 wagon you will need to visit a Mercedes dealer. There are no confirmed aftermarket wiring harnesses that I can recommend for the vehicle. Since you plan on doing some light towing the Curt hitch # C11189 is the one I recommend since it fits the wagon models. There is some drilling required for installation and a rotabroach or carbide drill bit is recommended. For a ball mount I recommend # C45521. And for a 1-7/8 inch...
