Features to know about

Effortless Installation: Bolt-On Design

Say goodbye to complicated installations! The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver is designed for a super simple, bolt-on installation, just line it up and bolt it onto your vehicle's frame. No welding is needed, and it even includes a complete hardware kit, making it easy for anyone to get their trailer hitch ready for use in no time.

Seamless Integration on Both New and Old Models: Custom Fit Hitch

No more worrying about whether your hitch will fit your vehicle. Designed specifically for your vehicle, this custom fit hitch aligns perfectly every time. Whether you have a GMC Acadia, a Buick Enclave, or a Chevy Traverse, this hitch is engineered to blend seamlessly, ensuring a snug fit without any additional adjustments or hassles.

Built to Last: Powder Coated Steel

Towing is tough, but this durable hitch is tougher. Made from sturdy, fully welded steel, it features a gloss black powder coat finish over a protective base coat. This ensures superior rust and corrosion resistance, so your hitch stays looking like new even after exposure to harsh weather conditions.

High-Capacity Performance: Class III Hitch Features

Handle your towing needs with confidence. With a 2-inch receiver opening, this Class III hitch can take on maximum gross trailer weights up to 5,000 pounds and going up to 6,000 pounds when used with weight distribution. It also supports tongue weights of up to 500 pounds and 600 pounds respectively, making it perfect for all your medium-duty towing needs.

Confident and Secure Locking: Carriage Bolt Blocks

Never worry about loose bolts again. With carriage bolt blocks included, your hitch snugs securely against your vehicle, preventing any spinning or unsecured connections. This feature ensures that once your hitch is installed, it stays put, allowing you to tow with confidence day in and day out.

Made in the USA: Quality You Can Rely On

Support local craftsmanship with this hitch, proudly assembled in the USA. Built with quality materials and reliable engineering, the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver ensures strong and long-lasting performance, standing up to your towing demands and maintaining its integrity over time.

Took a little longer than 30 minutes to install, but only because I tried to not disconnect the mufflers from the frame. Fishing the back bolts through the bumper was kind of weird, but was not hard at all.

  • Will Trailer Hitch from Buick Enclave Fit Lincoln MKX
The Draw-Tite Class III # 75528 and the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch # 13424, which are the available trailer hitches confirmed to fit the 2014 Buick Enclave, are compatible with certain model years of the GMC Acadia, Saturn Outlook and the Chevy Traverse. However, the trailer hitch on your Buick Enclave will not fit your new Lincoln MKX, as the body styles are simply too different between the vehicle models. If you are able to tell me the year of your Lincoln MKX, I will be happy to...

  • What Size Bolts are Used to Install Curt Hitch on 2017 Chevy Traverse
The install hardware that the Curt hitch part # 13424 that you referenced uses is M12-1.75 x 30mm. If you were looking for replace install hardware for this hitch we have that with the part number # RHK. On the product page for this you'd need to enter your hitch part number and then select Curt as the manufacturer for the hitch and you'd be set.

The Sportrack Ridge Swing bike rack part # SR2415 is a great option for a bike rack for your 2011 Buick Enclave. All you'd need is the Curt hitch # 13424 that you referenced and you'd be set. I attached a review video for the bike rack that shows it on a similar Buick Enclave as well.

  • Does Carriage Bolt Blocks Come with Curt Trailer Hitch 13424
Yes, the carriage bolt blocks (they do look like spacers) and all install hardware are included with the Curt hitch part # 13424. I attached a picture that shows all of the hardware that comes with the hitch. CM-SP6 is called out in the instructions as the carriage bolt blocks. These are what prevents the bolt from just turning with the nut as you torque the hitch down.

  • Which 2 Inch Hitch Will Fit My 2017 Chevrolet Volt
When it comes to installing a hitch on your 2017 Chevrolet Volt, I recommend The EcoHitch Invisi Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2 inch # 306-X7338. The hitch is completely hidden and has a gross tow rating up to 2,000 pounds and has a tongue weight of 300 pounds. Make sure to check your manual to see what the proper tow rating is for your vehicle. This is the only 2 inch hitch that is confirmed for your 2017 Chevrolet Volt. The Curt # 13424 and etrailer.com # e98863 trailer hitches use M12-1.75 x 30mm bolts for the installation while the Draw-Tite # 75528 trailer hitch uses M12-1.75 x 45mm bolts for the installation on a 2012 Chevy Traverse. I have linked the installation instructions and videos for you to reference. If you let me know what you plan on using the trailer hitch for I can make additional recommendations for you. • How to Determine Hitch-Mounted Cargo Carrier Weight Capacity on 2010 Chevrolet Traverse
The Curt Class III hitch # 13424 that fits your 2010 Chevrolet Traverse LT2 has a tongue weight (TW) capacity of 500-lbs when used with a hitch-mount cargo carrier like their # C18150. (TW is downward force on the hitch.) The vehicle weight rating that matters for this kind of application is the car's TW. This is usually about 10-percent of the gross towing capacity and should be noted in your owner's manual. I checked an online version of the 2010 Traverse manual for its TW rating but...

  • Trailer Hitch and GCWR for 2017 AWD Chevy Traverse
I took a look at an online version of the owner's manual for a 2017 Chevy Traverse and it says that for an AWD without the V92 Trailer Towing Package the maximum trailer weight is 2,000 lbs and the GCWR is 7,700 lbs (GCWR is the total weight of the trailer, trailer cargo, Traverse and Traverse cargo including passengers - essentially the weight of everything). • Folding Hitch Cargo Carrier Recommendation for a 2010 Buick Enclave that Will Fold Up
To determine if the Curt Cargo carrier part # C18100 that you referenced will fold up and clear the rear bumper of your 2010 Buick Enclave will require you to take one simple measurement. You will need to measure from the center of the hitch pin hole to the furthest point out on the rear bumper. If that distance is less than 5 inches this carrier will fit and work well. When we installed the # 13424 on a very similar 2010 Buick Enclave we found that dimension to be 5-1/4 inches. So...

This is actually a pretty common issue, and the bolts that came with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 13424 that fits your 2017 Buick Enclave. You will simply need to clean the existing bolt holes (weld nuts) with a spray lubricant and Wire Brush # 814092. • Comparing Curt and Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receivers for 2017 Chevrolet Traverse
The only significant difference between the Draw-Tite # 75528 and the Curt # 13424 is the capacity. Since both of these far exceed the towing capacity of your vehicle that really doesn't make a difference. If I were to recommend a hitch for your 2017 Chevy Traverse it actually wouldn't be either of these. Instead, I would choose the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98863. This hitch has the same design and capacity as the Curt. What sets it apart from the other two is the matte black...

In my experience the fascia trim panel cannot be replaced on the Buick Enclave vehicles after the installation of any of the hitches that are available for that vehicle. This is because the fascia for the Enclave is shaped differently than the ones for the Traverse. I posted a photo that one of our customers sent in showing how he trimmed that center fascia piece so that he could reinstall it on his vehicle.
