Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

The hidden hitch arrived in a shorter time than I expected. Even though I haven't installed it yet, it appears to be a relatively easy job.

by:

Very heavy duty. Like how it's made

by:

The hidden hitch arrived within 3 days of order and I ordered on a weekend. The hitch installed fairly easily and looks good on my 2014 Buick Enclave. I was able to put the cover back on with no problem and it looks great. I am very happy with my purchase.

by:

Installation instructions were good; no problems with installation.

On a 2013 GMC Acadia the factory fascia will fit right back into place without any adjustments necessary. Really is a "hidden hitch".

by:

Instructions are very good. I love the idea of the hidden hitch. Fairly easy to installed except for dropping the muffler. I will use it to haul a small utility trailer. The wiring was a little more difficult but was worth the effort. It took me about three hours to install both the hitch and the wiring.

by:

I ordered the Hidden Hitch Trailer Receiver Hitch, and though I have not used it yet,the installation was a breeze, thanks to the online videos that etrailer provided.I also installed the T-1wiring harness with mounting bracket and that also was a snap.I am a happy boater thanks to e trailer.I felt that the price was fair and the service and delivery could not be beat. Thanks etrailer! Bill W.

by:

Always a pleasure doing business with etrailer. This is the second hitch I purchased from etrailer. Online product detail for my Traverse Hidden Hitch is accurate, up-to-date and plentiful. Other reviews posted helped guide me to the product I purchased and online instructions are short and to the point. Product arrived as illustrated and installation was a breezy 30 minutes.

by:

Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch Receiver Class III was installed just like the Video showed. My problem was the exhaust system did not drop down out of the way when the rubber hangers were disconnect. In fact I tried to discount the one closed to the muffler, and that didn't work either. It did make the system just barely loose enough to get the job done, just more work than it showed on the video.

by:

Easy to install!! Got the wiring harness to pair with hitch for our Traverse. Has worked well pulling a trailer and no issues with lights on the vehicle since the install.

by:

Great quality, good instructions, fits great. I choose standard shipping and I received this within 30 hours of placing my order!!! Also, etrailer.com had the best price.

by:

Arrived. Easy to install.

by:

very fast and responsive.

  • Parts Needed to Tow a 3,900 Pound Trailer with a 2016 Buick Enclave with Factory Tow Package
In addition to a trailer hitch, such as # 75528, for your 2016 Buick Enclave you will also need a trailer wiring harness, ball mount, and ball. These are the basic components needed for towing. It looks like the Enclave already has a trailer wiring harness so that plus the hitch means we need to look at ball mounts and balls. I recommend an adjustable ball mount such as # C45900 because it is height adjustable from 6 inches drop to 5-1/4 inch rise and it has both a 2 inch and 2-5/16 inch...

  • Trailer Towing Setup Recommendation for 2014 Buick Enclave
You are on the right track! The Draw Tite hitch part # 75528 is a confirmed fit for your 2014 Buick Enclave as well as the trailer wiring kit # 118270. The wiring mount part # 18144 will also give you a place to mount the 4-way that bolts to the bumper. The ball mount part # C45036 that you referenced is would also work well if you need 2 inch drop. I attached a help article that details how to pick out a ball mount drop as well.

  • Best Way to Transport 4 Kayaks on 2015 Chevy Traverse
Without knowing the length of the crossbars and the weight of the kayaks, I would have some doubts that you're going to be able to carry 4 kayaks on the roof of a 2015 Chevy Traverse-but if you were going to do it the Thule Stacker # TH830 would be the way to go since they don't take up a ton of space. You're going to need roughly 50" (the Stacker takes up about 3" of bar space) of crossbar space to successfully do this. I would also recommend checking your owner's manual to find out the...

  • Can Rear Fascia be Reattached on 2011 Buick Enclave After Installing Draw-Tite 75528
Installing the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver, # 75528, will require the removal of the rear fascia, and will not be able to be reattached on Buick Enclaves that are model year 2012 and older. I have added a link to an install video which demonstrates an attached hitch so you can get a feel for how your 2011 Enclave will look after a completed install.

  • Higher Capacity Trailer Hitch for 2011 GMC Acadia
The etrailer Class III hitch part # e98863 is a really great option for your 2011 GMC Acadia. It has the higher tongue weight capacity of 600 lbs and 6,000 lb trailer towing capacity when used with a weight distribution system and 500 lbs and 5,000 lb without wd. I attached an install video for this for you to check out too.

  • Towing Capacity for 2016 Chevrolet Traverse without Factory Tow Package
When looking at weight capacities of a towing setup, you will always be limited by a system's weakest component. I took a look at the online owner's manual for your 2016 Chevrolet Traverse and saw that for a front-wheel drive model that does not have the factory trailer towing package, the maximum trailer weight is 2,000 pounds. As you mentioned in your question, the factory towing package would have bumped it up to 5,200 pounds. So with your Traverse that does not have the factory tow...

  • Will Trailer Hitch from Buick Enclave Fit Lincoln MKX
The Draw-Tite Class III # 75528 and the Curt Class III Trailer Hitch # 13424, which are the available trailer hitches confirmed to fit the 2014 Buick Enclave, are compatible with certain model years of the GMC Acadia, Saturn Outlook and the Chevy Traverse. However, the trailer hitch on your Buick Enclave will not fit your new Lincoln MKX, as the body styles are simply too different between the vehicle models. • Is the Thule OutWay Trunk Mount Carrier # TH56BV the Best Bike Rack Option for a 2011 GMC Acadia
Yes, Thule does recommend the Thule OutWay Trunk Mount 3 Bike Carrier, item # TH56BV, for your 2011 GMC Acadia. I recently had the chance to install this rack on a vehicle and it is the easiest to install and remove trunk mount rack that I have used. One hint is to wash the attachment points on the bike rack and vehicle before installing the rack to prevent damage to the vehicle finish. Since your Acadia does not have a hitch, the OutWay # TH56BV would be a good option, but my personal...

  • Trailer Hitch and Transmission Cooler for a 2010 Buick Enclave
