by:

Excellent hitch. Installed in about 30 minutes. Very fast delivery! Thank you.

by:

You folks should be proud of your csr service, not many companies can say that. Thanks for everything

by:

This hitch is incredibly easy to install. The bolt aligned very well if they were all tightened at the end of the assembly.

I only wish I needed another one to install

by:

Quick delivery from etrailer.com, took about 20 minutes to install. The hitch is heavy duty,
and I love how it fits under the truck....out of
view. I could not be more pleased.

by:

Product fit perfectly and and was easy to install. From box opening to to towing takes about 40 minutes.

by:

Excellent/simple install, not fit, equip, or other issues. Very happy with the hitch, wiring plug, and prices. Chevy wanted an arm and a leg.

2007 Chevrolet Silverado New Body

Product got here very quickly and it only took about 20 minutes to install. Didn't even have to remove the spare tire. This is an extremely good company to deal with. Looking forward to future dealings. I definately recommend etrailer.com to anyone.

by:

Received hitch in record time, installed very easily, did not have to remove my Spare tire. Highly reccomend Etrailer and plan to buy from again.

by:

The box arrived kinda beat up, no harm. I used a floor jack and 2 jackstands raising each a little at a time. I didn't have any help. Got it into position and installed in just a little bit. The only thing I would suggest to other customers is, forget about lowering the spare tire. I didn't lower the spare tire and that was no problem. Good delivery and good product that fit. Thanks

by:

Great hitch. Very nice construction, great design and it fit perfectly. Installation was a breeze and the finished look was the best ever. I probably won't utilize it's full capacity but for the price it's nice to know it's available. I highly recommend this hitch.

by:
2010 ChevroletSilverado

Packed well, nice and clean and easy to install.

It took me longer to find the handle to lower the spare than it did to install the hitch!
Simple installation.

I checked prices and couldn't find a better deal.
I also bought an electric brake controller and 7 pin plug from etrailer.com.

by:

This is a outstanding hitch. All of the hardware came with it. The new hitch mounted up to my pickup perfectly. My old hitch was rusting badly and needed replaced on my 2011 Chevy Silverado.
I would definitely order again for another vehicle.

It is still working just fine. No issues at all. I would definitely purchase again.

by:

Pretty good upgrade for my truck. Loved the new look of it. Not to bad to install and directions were easy to read. There is one design issue. You will have to purchase any shackle of your choice and you will need a locking hitch receiver pin. My chains from my travel trailer do not work with a normal codder pin style hitch pin. Other than that so far so good. My trailer hasn't fallen off my truck yet. Solid upgrade other than their design.

Still hasnt fallen off my truck. Normal wear and tear. The paint seems to be holding up pretty good. Which is a plus.

by:
2013 GMC Sierra

Fit perfect and all the hardware was there. Seems to be the same size as factory hitch but actually built solid unlike the factory junk. Think it took longer to open the box and remove the plastic wrap than it did to actually install the hitch. Factory hitch had more pieces rusted put than solid

by:

Really like the new curt trailer hit hitch had a factory mount on it that bolted to frame and bumper the new curt hitch is frame mounted heaven duty A+ looks and works great thanks so much

by:

After fixing the slight bend it was a perfect fit. Instructions were easy to follow. No problems with the install.

Holding up extremely well, no paint peeling or rust. Still very solid.

by:

The top of the box was found blown open when delivered but all the hardware was there. It was well secured to the hitch. The hitch seemed significantly thicker than the old hitch and had a nice shiny finish. I used wood blocking and a rope to raise the hitch high enough for me to crawl underneath and connect one fastener to the one remaining welded nut still attached to the frame. After that, the install was a breeze. The other welded nut was ripped from the frame in removing the bolt from the old hitch. A new nut had to be purchased. The rust I found in removing the old hitch was extreme. Rust had made a couple of holes completely through the old OEM hitch even though I removed and painted it a few years beforehand. I ended up painting and coating with fluid film the entire area around the hitch and behind the spare tire before installing the new hitch. I didn't remove the spare tire for the install as suggested in the instructions as I was pretty familar with the area as I spent a lot of time under there removing the old hitch and doing prep work and, therefore, was confident I could do it without removing it. The time spent installing the new hitch itself was a drop in the bucket compared to my other time under there. I probably spent less than 2 hours installing it and that included stopping to get a new nut at a hardware store.

Curt is my go to for all things towing, they never disappoint and with the added service of the sales team at etrailer it makes it a great experience. Thanks, I'll send pics after the install, been raining a week here.

  • Is The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 14301 The Correct Fit For A 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500
The three mounting bolts on each side of the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # 14301 will be more than enough to secure the trailer hitch to your 2012 Chevy Silverado 1500. I've attached a video below that will help walk you through the installation.

  • Does a Curt Trailer Hitch # 14301 Limit Access to the Spare Tire if Installed on 2013 Chevy 1500
To install the Class IV Curt trailer hitch # 14301 on your 2013 Chevy 1500 you will need to temporarily remove the spare tire for accessibility to the hitch mounting locations. After installation is complete and the spare tire is re-installed you will not have any issues with accessibility or clearance around the full size spare tire when mounted in the factory location. I have included a photo of this hitch installed on a slightly older Chevy truck, and you can see that there is no interference...

  • Recommended Class IV Trailer Hitch Receiver for a 2007 GMC Sierra New Body
As long as your 2007 GMC Sierra New Body has the standard rear bumper (see photo), I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 14301. This is a direct bolt on hitch that will not require any cutting or drilling. You will also be able to retain the use of the factory spare tire with this hitch. It has a Class IV rating with a 2" receiver tube opening. The hitch is made right here in the U.S.A. and comes with a lifetime warranty. I have attached an install video of this hitch...

  • Fit of etrailer e98849 Class III Hitch on 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 LTZ
The etrailer brand # e98849 is a fit for all trim levels of the 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500, including your LTZ. The hitch has a 6000 lb towing/600 lb tongue weight capacity or 10000 lb towing/1000 tongue weight if used with weight distribution. For a higher capacity, the Curt # 14301 has a capacity of 10000 lb towing/1000 lb tongue weight or 12000/1200 lbs if used with weight distribution. I've linked to installation videos and instructions for the hitches mentioned above.

You did not mention if your 2013 Chevy Silverado was a 1500, 2500, or 3500 so I can provide recommendations for all 3. For a 1500 I recommend Curt trailer hitch # 14301. There is no drilling or trimming required for installation of this hitch. I have linked a video showing an example installation for you. For a 2500 or 3500 series short bed I recommend B&W hitch # BWHDRH25601. Again there is no drilling or trimming required. The version for long bed models is # BWHDRH25600 and there is...

The Curt trailer hitch # 14301 will fit nice and snug similarly to the Class III trailer hitch. The receiver will fit right below the rear bumper. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to view. If you plan on doing some towing I recommend the etrailer Ball Mount Kit, # EBMK2416, which comes with a ball mount, 2 balls, a hitch pin and clip, and a carrying bag. I'd recommend the Curt Class IV receiver hitch, part # 14301. The hitch has a 10,000 lb towing/1000 lb tongue weight capacity which might be more than you need for that particular trailer, but it'll have plenty of capacity to spare in case you should need to tow something heavier in the future. • Why Doesn't Curt Hitch 14301 Bolt to Bumper
It's hard to say exactly why the Curt hitch part # 14301 doesn't bolt to the bumper like the OEM hitch but most likely they determined that it didn't add much to the strength of the hitch so they left it off. The hitch has been thoroughly tested and has a higher weight capacity of 10,000 lbs so I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.
