Specially designed for heavy-duty towing, this fully welded trailer hitch receiver bolts onto your vehicle's frame with no welding required. Powder coated steel is sturdy and corrosion resistant.Very well built hitch. Somewhat of an easy install. Had to ream out one of the holes a little bit to get one of the blots in.
This HD Curt hitch is definitely heavy duty, probably didn’t need a hitch this magnitude. I am not afraid to pull any kind of trailer behind my 2500HD Duramax Chevy.
I installed this hitch on my 2009 Cadillac Escalade EXT truck! Yes fit perfectly like stock! Had to drill a couple of holes. Lol. The weight difference was a joke compared to the stock crap the factory had on the truck.
Highly recommend this unit for a 3/4 ton pickup. My truck is a 2006 Silverado 2500HD 4WD 6.0 gas (Tow package, 4:10 gears) with a 6.5 foot bed. I took out the spare tire hardware and added two 2x4 square stock crossmembers to stiffen the rear chassis area. This hitch receiver is rated for more than my truck is so between my extra reinforcement and a beefier receiver I find I’m able to keep a little bit steadier under heavy load which is good. With aftermarket support like this I’ll have this truck long after death as I plan on being buried in it.
This hitch is awesome! It really made the stock hitch on my truck look like a toy compared to the Curt. I have no complaints with it, would definitely recommend to anyone who is questioning their hitch's rigidity.
Fits very well. Used holes further back on the frame from my stock hitch, but still cleared the 5” exhaust. Definitely worth the money, even if it’s just for peace of mind. The stock setup is prone to dirt/salt/water buildup inside of the tube section that drops down for the hitch, which is where mine failed.
Overall happy after a year. I had one problem it hit my exhaust pipe. Probably a aftermarket exhaust. Cut alittle off hitch in back corner, painted all good.
VERY fast delivery (Even faster then Amazon) Took me 30 min to install. Even on a very rusty truck. Just wish I didn't hesitate so long to replace that dinky stock hitch
Beast of a receiver hitch. Easy to install. Bit awkward would highly recommend having a second set of hands. Lines up with all the factory holes , not drilling.
I received the hitch , the product itself was great quality unfortunately the box was pretty banged up and the driver side did not line up well, it appeared to have been dropped at some point. I made it work after some tweaking but would have preferred not to have to mess with my new $[XX] hitch.
Perfect fit for my 2005 2500 Silverado. The factory receiver only had 7500# capacity so I figured an upgrade to a class V was a good idea. I cut the plug bracket off of the old receiver and welded it to a piece of flat stock for easy mounting to the bumper.

Thanks for your business and your review, Mike! Just a quick note - while aftermarket hitches may have a higher capacity, the maximum capacity of a towing setup is limited to the capacity of the lowest-rated component.
Fits great on my quad cab (4 full doors with short box) 2004 silverado 2500hd 4x4 with the exception of the middle hole not located in the correct spot and will need to get drilled out on the frame (see pics for center hole). A blueprint from center of hole to center of hole would be very helpful for anyone else trying to figure out if this and others will work for their application. Mine back to front was 0 at first hole, then 6 1/2 inches then 14 1/2 inches (yes, the big hole is used). Hitch comes with middle hole being at 7 1/4 inches. Side to side on mine was 39 1/4 inches center to center and the hitch was the same. Hoping this helps others out. Great packaging and fast shipping. Customer service was top notch! Will definitely continue to order thru these folks. Very heavy duty hitch! Highly recommend!
This hitch fit my 2009 Chevy Silverado 2500 perfectly. The receiver slot is about 2.5 inches higher than the factor receiver that it replaced, which you may need to consider if you have a weight distribution hitch with bars that ride on a bracket on the trailer tongue instead of chains -you will need to reset those kinds of hitches for the new height. This is a very well-made hitch and was easy to install.
Arrived 3 days free shipping....
Installation a snap although we have a lift !
Appreciate the bolt stays so it can be installed by just tightening but on underside no wrench on top needed !
Used on a 2005 Silverado 2500 with 6.6 Dura
Also included pic of original equipment ....broke 15 years later and much WORK

Product is great after 1 year no ptoblems !!!
Easy install and incredibly beefy and stout. I pull my flatbed and jeep wrangler unlimited to trails. Yesterday I just got home from towing to Hurricane, Utah and back. Rough roads big grades, no problems from any component of my trailer system.
I feel very confident that this class 5 hitch will handle all my towing needs with no problem!
Customer service was GREAT! Korren was an awesome help in getting the product, delivery ws very fast....
Thank you etrailer!
Heavy duty. Bolts right up. Would be nice if it had a bracket on it for the trailer pug to be mounted on.
Great hitch. Very heavy duty. Holding up very well. Definitely worth the money. Made towing feel a lot better do to where and how it hooks to the frame.
I just got it delivered and I will install it on my nephews truck in the next few days. The hitch looks very well built compared to the hitch on my 2007 GMC Sierra 2500HD. I would buy this receiver for my truck if I needed one.

This Curt hitch receiver is very well made and has towed heavy all year with no problems. I would definitely recommend this hitch receiver.
Perfect fit for my 2006 Duramax! All hardware is included
This is one bad ass hitch!
Great product, seems very well built. Install is incredibly easy, especially if you remove the spare tire as suggested. Truck is a 2007 2500 HD Classic Body CCSB.
Only side note is that there is less clearance between the hitch and exhaust, which could potentially be trouble if you are running an aftermarket 5” system (see photo). It still worked for me and overall I am very satisfied with the purchase.
No comparison to the stock hitch. Very sturdy with no flex. One less worry when towing a heavy trailer. A true bolt on hitch. Great price and fast shipping. Thanks etrailer.
Part was very easy to install...
I havent tested out the tongue weight capability yet but soon....
My stock receiver was twisting with my trailer on it...stock 1000# etrailer curt is 2400#
When i test it out I'll add a picture
Thanks, Bill
Also etrailer should make a bolt on mudflap like i added......
Good price and great quality. Shipping was free and incredibly fast. I’ve always had positive experiences ordering from etrailer.
The hitch was an excellent fit. The only drawback is that there’s not a spot to mount the trailer plug I see where other people have welded something on it would just be nice if it had it. I plan on buying a bracket and mounting it to my bumper. It took about 30 minutes to install once I had all the tools together. Looks great
