Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

Paint on hitch looks good installed easy would buy a hidden hitch again.

by:

Received in three days and installed in less then one hour.... looks great .... hidden hitch.

by:

Shipment was much quicker than expected, Thank you!

It would have been nice to know that 4 fish wires were included in the parts package. It was not mentioned on the site that I could see. It prompted me to purchase some just in case none were supplied.
I like this hidden hitch better than the Draw-Tite version. The cross bar supporting the draw bar passes through the frame plates that bolt to the vehicle frame. Draw-Tite butt welds the cross bar to the frame plates...IMO not as strong of a design! Price was right too! I am pleased with this Hidden hitch!

  • Is Trailer Hitch For 2008 Chevrolet Impala Guaranteed To Fit
The trailer hitches we offer for your 2008 Impala are guaranteed to fit. These hitches are designed specifically to fit your car frame. The trailer hitch you came from is the Curt, part # C12252. This is a Class ll hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. The other trailer hitch is the Draw-Tite, part # 36407. This is also a Class ll hitch with a 1-1/4 inch receiver. I recommend the Draw-Tite hitch because it does not require a stabilizing strap like part # 18050 for all non-trailer...

  • Trailer Hitch Receiver to Fit 2016 Chevrolet Impala Limited
We have two trailer hitch receivers to fit your 2016 Chevrolet Impala Limited and they're both 1-1/4 inch Class II receivers. The Draw-Tite # 36407 and the Curt # C12252. They both have a maximum gross trailer weight of 3,000 pounds and a maximum tongue weight of 300 pounds. The Curt does require the use of a stabilization strap, part # 18050, in order to be in compliance with their warranty whenever carrying non-trailer loads. For this reason I suggest the Draw-Tite. If you're going...

  • Trailer Hitch Fit Recommendation for 2014 Chevy Impala Limited
For your 2014 Chevy Impala Limited the Draw Tite hitch part # 36407 that you referenced has been a confirmed fit and would work well. For trailer wiring you then would want the part # C59236 which has been confirmed as a fit. The ball mount you would want is the part # 36061. For hitch balls you would want the # 19258 for a 2 inch ball and part # 19257 for a 1-7/8 inch ball.

  • Parts Needed to Tow a Trailer with a 2005 Chevrolet Impala
I do have an option for you but your 2005 Chevrolet Impala would not be rated for anywhere near the tongue weight you would need for a cargo carrier and 370 lb wheelchair. The tongue weight capacity of your vehicle is likely between 100-150 lbs but you can verify this in your owner's manual. The only way that you would be able to safety haul around the wheelchair would be with a small utility trailer like the Detail K2 Mighty Multi Utility Trailer part # K2MMT4X6. In order to haul this...

  • Which Hitch for 2006 Chevy Impala would be Most Concealed
I have the info you are looking for, but the Hidden Hitch and the Draw Tite hitches are basically the same thing as they are both made by the same company. Curt is different as it is a completely different company. The Curt is going to have the edge on which is the most concealed as it is the most recessed under the bumper. The Draw Tite # 36407 is going to sit just as high as the Curt # C12252 but it would stick out more horizontally. I attached pictures of both installed on a vehicle...

  • Trailer Hitch and Towing Capacity of a 2008 Chevrolet Impala
From my research the 2008 Chevy Impala can tow up to a 1,000 pound trailer. You want the loaded trailer to stay under 1,000 pounds. As far as not scraping the ground I'm not sure what you're referring to but if the trailer is not overloaded and is loaded with the tongue weight between 10 and 15 percent of the trailer's weight then you shouldn't have any issues. You also want to make sure the trailer is level when towing. As for the hitch receiver I recommend the Draw-Tite # 36407. ...

  • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For 2005 Chevrolet Impala
I have another option for you but the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13315 you were looking at is only confirmed to fit select Mazda CX-5's. There is not a class III hitch available for your 2005 Chevrolet Impala so I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class II - 1-1/4" # 36407. This hitch has a 300lb tongue weight rating and 3500lb trailer weight rating so it will be perfect for carrying a bike rack, cargo carrier, or even a ball...

  • Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver Fitment and Curt Wiring For a 2002 Chevrolet Impala
For your 2002 Chevrolet Impala I recommend the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36407 as it is a custom fit for your Impala. This Class II receiver is rated for 300lbs of tongue weight and trailer load capacity of 3,500lbs. Be sure to not exceed the weight capacities given by Chevrolet for your Impala. • What Trailer Hitch Will Fit On My 2011 Chevrolet Impala
Without knowing exactly what trailer hitch you have on your 2004 Chevrolet Impala I don't know if it will work on your 2011. However, two out of the three trailer hitches we carry for the 2004 Impala are also compatible with the 2011 Impala, the Draw-Tite Class II Frame Receiver Hitch # 36407 and the Curt Class II Receiver Hitch # C12252. • Bike Rack Options to Carry 50 Lb Electric Bike on 2013 Chevy Impala
Thank you for the photo! I do have a solution for you, however, no trunk bike rack has the capacity to carry the weight of your electric bike. According to my research, your son's Ancheer electric bike weights approximately 50 lbs and most trunk bike racks max out at 35 lbs per individual bike, including the Thule Passage # TH910XT you were checking out. When we installed the Draw Tite hitch part # 36407 we found that from the center of our hitch pin hole to the outermost point of the bumper is 6-1/2 inches. If your bike rack has 11 inches from it's pin hole to the back of the upright mast this would easily clear.

  • Fit of Trailer Hitches on a 2012 Chevrolet Impala with Dual Exhaust
Trailer hitch receivers are often designed to fit multiple years and model trim packages of vehicles. They work with the variations between those years and models to cover a larger range with one part. So sometimes the pictures or videos we have are on models that aren't exactly the same as your but the install will be very similar, if not identical. For example, the Draw-Tite # 36407 will fit the Chevrolet Impala from 2000 to 2013 and the Impala Limited from 2014 to 2016. This hitch...

The maximum tongue weight rating for this Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch # 36407 that you referenced is 300 lbs. The weight of your electric scooter and ramp combined equals 271 lbs, and if that is all the weight that would be on the hitch then yes you would be fine. My only question is if by ramp do you mean scooter carrier? Because if not, you will need to factor that weight into the total as well. If are in need of a scooter carrier you should check out the OldenKamp Scooter Carrier # RHWC1114....
