Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite Tested Tough

Draw-Tite's Tested Tough program provides testing standards far superior to those outlined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), the go-to source for engineering professionals.

Each Draw-Tite trailer hitch receiver undergoes extensive fatigue testing and static testing with the ball mount that is either supplied or recommended for use with that particular hitch, thus ensuring results that are applicable to real life use. Fatigue testing is also conducted on hitches rated for use with weight-distribution systems.

In addition, Draw-Tite performs static testing on a simulated automobile, as opposed to the rigid fixture used for SAE testing, resulting in a more true-to-life scenario.

After buying two other hitches. The hidden hitch was the perfect ticket for keep my truck from looking bad from all the metal hanging from under my truck. The hidden Hitch is a perfect item. Thanks

by:

The hitch fit perfectly and was a breeze to install! 2 people 30 minutes! It truly is a "hidden hitch".The only thing that you can see from the back of my truck is the receiver unit! I installed it to keep from using the bumper hitch and to give me more towing ability. It arrived much quicker than I anticipated and the customer service and follow-up is fantastic!

by:

I installed my new hidden hitch on my new 2012 colorado today
i did the job myself rigging it up to a garage type hydraulic jack
lifting right in place. Your instructions were very clear after reading a few times . Im 77 years old and have my own shop.
I purchased the American flap cap and i think its great.

by:

My recent purchase of the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch Receiver fits perfectly. The only problem I encountered was removal of the four existing frame bolts. While loosening the bolts the nuts inside the frame broke loose and I had to weld the nuts back to the frame (tight fit). Installing the Hidden Hitch was incredibly easy and my spouse said it looks tough.

Thanks again etrailer.
Martin.

2011 GMC Canyon

The hitch arrived yesterday and I installed it today. This is one of several accessories I have ordered online for my 2011 Canyon from various suppliers. It is the first accessory that fit my truck and I did not have to absorb the cost of return postage.

by:

The hitch was everything I expected. The shipping by etrailer was far better than expected. They accomodate their customers very quickly.

by:

  • Can Trailer Hitch Be Installed On 2005 Chevrolet Colorado With Rear Pan Installed
The trailer hitches we offer for your Colorado are designed to fit all models. With that being said, if you modify the truck in any manner, you do run the risk that a hitch may not be able to be installed. I have attached a photo of the underside of a Colorado with the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, part # 75607 installed. I noted with arrows some of the places you may have issues with since you have a pan installed. You can check out the photo and determine if a hitch will work for your truck....

  • Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2012 Chevy Colordao
I recommend going with the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75607 hands down for your 2012 Chevy Colorado. I like this option over the Curt # 13252 because it has a hidden crosstube which not only looks better, but it also means you'll have better ground clearance. Attached is an installation video as well as a photo showing what it will look like once installed. Typically when a trailer hitch is installed on a pickup it will be used for towing. If this is what you're planning...

Yes, the Draw-Tite Class III hitch, part # 75607 will fit all models of the 2007 Chevrolet Colorado, including the Xtreme models. I have included a link to the instructions so you can review them. I have also added a link to a video of the same hitch being installed on a 2008 Colorado.

  • Replacement Hardware For The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75607
Hey Todd, It sounds like you have the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75607. Replacement hardware for this hitch can be purchased from the # RHK product page by entering in "75607" in the hitch item number box. • Mounting A Winch On A 2008 Izuzu I-290 Or Using Something To Keep Me From Getting Stuck
Let me start by saying that I may have a solution that will work for you. While I do recognize the 2008 Izuzu I-290 and the 2008 Chevy Colorado are the same truck, there are just enough differences between the two that the front hitch receiver that fits the 2008 Chevy Colorado does not fit your 2008 Izuzu I-290 truck. It appears that you may be using your truck for off-roading. If that is the case, you can use tire chains, if your vehicle has a tire size other than P225/75R15, P265/75R15,...

  • What Is Trailer Towing Capacity For 2011 Chevrolet Colorado
All of the trailer hitches we offer for your Colorado do not have the towing capacity you said you need to tow. Our most heavy-duty trailer hitch is the Draw-Tite, part # 75607 and it is limited to 7,500-lbs with weight distribution being used. Without weight distribution it has a 6,000-lb weight capacity. I did some research on your Colorado and the owner's manual says the maximum towing capacity for your truck is 6,000 lbs. The range goes from 1,900-lbs to 6,000-lbs based on the engine,...

  • Can a Bumper Mounted Trailer Hitch be Used to Tow a 5X8 Trailer with a 2005 Chevrolet Colorado
As long as you stay within the manufacturers tongue weight and gross trailer weight ratings, see bumper and owners manual, you will not have a problem towing with the Curt 2 inch Bumper Hitch, 5,000 lbs GTW, item # E-3S. A better solution for your towing needs would be the Draw-Tite Class III Trailer Hitch, item # 75607, which is designed specifically for your 2005 Colorado. This is a no drill installation and all of the mounting hardware is included. Some items you may need to complete...

  • Where is this Draw-Tite 75607 made?
The Draw-Tite # 75607 is made in Mexico. If you are looking for a hitch that will fit your 2007 Chevy Colorado that is made in the US, you will want to go with the Curt # 13252. This is rated a little lower than the # 75607, but will still handle up to 4,000 pounds towing and 400 pounds of tongue weight.

  • Fit of Draw-Tite Class III 75607 Hitch on 2011 Chevy Colorado with Full Sized Spare Tire
According to Draw-Tite, the # 75607 Class III hitch fits all models of the 2011 Chevy Colorado with no drilling or other modification required. The fact that you have a full sized spare tire will not affect the fit of the hitch. I've linked you to the installation instructions and an installation video that I hope you'll find helpful. • Recommended Parts to Tow a Trailer with a 2004 Chevy Colorado Z71
I'd be more than happy to help you get everything needed for your husband's 2004 Chevy Colorado Z71 so he can use it for the repair business! The basics that he will need include a hitch receiver, wiring for the trailer lights, and a ball mount setup. Additional wiring and a brake controller can be necessary if he has a bigger trailer, but if he is only picking up appliances 1 at a time then he probably has a smaller trailer and the brake controller isn't needed. Based on my research the 2011 GMC Canyon I5 has 242 hp and 242 ft lbs torque and can handle up to 5,500 lbs towing capacity. We have two trailer hitch receivers for this truck, but if you don't already have a trailer hitch, I recommend the Draw-Tite # 75607 which is rated much higher so your capacity will be limited by the truck and not reduced by the hitch. • Purpose of Smaller Holes in Draw-Tite Hitch Receivers Between Opening and Hitch Pin Hole
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75607 has the smaller holes between the receiver tube end and the hitch pin hole. The smaller hole is no longer used. This is a locking hitch pin and anti-rattle device that Draw-Tite has the integrated holes to utilize. I've attached a couple of videos to assist. It is a really nice option for ball mounts and other accessories that do not have an integrated locking/anti-rattle system to stabilize and reduce noise.
