This is a great hitch and awesome service/communication from e-trailer. I’d buy again from them. Only noteworthy consideration is—after installation on a traverse RS FWD, it sticks out a hair further than it should which makes the panel that covers the hitch (plastic) have to slightly bend to reinstall. Once installed, the panel stays kn like it should; however, not sure how long it’ll last without cracking with heat/cold and/or on/off cycles.
Great product. Needed a hitch receiver for a cargo box.
The installation was easy and straightforward. The product is significantly better quality than the bar it replaced.

Great item for what I need. The packaging needs to be improved. So that it will take more rough handling during the shipping process. The hitch was hanging out of the heavy cardboard box. When I received said item. The item was not damaged. The trailer hitch is heavy duty and great quality control.
After a couple of misfires with Amazon I gave up and ordered from etrailer and got EXACTLY what I needed. The receiver and hardware fit perfectly. I actually saved a lot of time by skipping the fish wire step and put the hardware in place on the receiver before I slid it into place on the car. No issues whatsoever. I will definitely deal with etrailer again for any future needs.

Right now it's a 1 star.... Google packaging job... Shipped in oversized box with no packing inside... Box came torn apart, powder coating gouged to exposed steel... Between ups and e trailer, just sub par in my opinion. Let's see how good their customer service responds???
I installed the hitch on a 2019 Traverse, it is a good quality but I gave it 3 stars because I couldn’t get the hitch to sit flush against the body of the vehicle after tightening the frame bolts. Loose it fit great but the farthest frame hole was about 1/4in too small and it was jamming the bolt when I tried to put the hitch in place.

I can see from the pictures where it was not flush and what I think has happened here is that the side brackets were flexed out of alignment. It is not uncommon for this to happen when the hitches are shipped to us or to you. I do have a FAQ that can help with the installation.

Your packaging seems to be well known for its deficiencies. The UPS guy said they all come in damaged packaging. The product survives, but out of respect for other shippers that could suffer from damage, I would think better accommodations could be made. Maybe a tube.
We’re using it this weekend and love it. Just a bit of advice make sure to check your tire quick release every time you stop one of our bikes vibrated loose and we lost one
I have a 2020 Traverse. The fit is 100 times better than the Draw tight. Still not a perfect fit but it works. Issues that I had to over come.
-I had to buy longer bolts for the passenger side exhaust hangers(M10x1.50 x 50).
-The install video made a suggestion to place the bolts in the hitch before you slide the legs into the body. That was a great tip. It was so much easier than fishing the wires through the hitch and body of the vehicle. The rear bolts didn't come all the way through which didn't allow for the washers to be used. To over come this I tightened the bolts down with just the nut, which pulled the bolt down. I loosened the bolt and had enough to room to add the washer and the bolt.
part of the hitch that attached where the bummer once did, didn't sit right against the body, just tighten everything down is all you can do. The legs seemed to prevent a flush finish.
The box arrived opened and damaged. My wiring harness was missing. When I called to tell them my wiring harness was missing they told me that it was shipping separately but could not tell me when it would arrive. I later got an email telling me all of my items were delivered and asked me to leave a review. I still don't have my wiring harness and will not have the hitch installed by this weekend like needed because I don't know if I am ever getting my wiring harness.not to mention the box had no padding around the hitch so it's all scratched up.

It seems that they sent these parts in two different shipments. I am sorry for any confusion, but the other harness is still on its way. Once you receive the rest of your order, we would love to hear your updated feedback.

The fit was perfect. Diy instructions were good.I would recommend watching the etrailer installation video. Very good instructions and tips to help with installation.
Delivery was fast, appears to be what I ordered however… the packaging was not good. This hitch was delivered to my garage while I was in the garage and the delivery guy was carrying the hitch over his shoulder and the box in his other hand. I’ve ordered large heavy items before and there shipping boxes were always designed for their weight and dimensions, this was not. Hopefully the hitch hasn’t been flexed and will install without any issues but it’s not looking good considering how it was delivered.

Easy installation
Instructions were good. The blocks supplied for the rear most frame bolts were too small. They just kept spinning.
Instructions need to point out the importance of relocating the wire harness removed from the left rear.
The video was very good and informative. It was good to have all 4 fish wires too!

This is the second hitch and wiring harness I've order from you and it was just as easy to install as the first one. I especially like your "how to" videos. My only slow down was "fishing" the four bolts through the frame, turning this installation into a 2 beverage job --- but then, who's counting.

You will need to get some rustoleum type of paint to cover that exposed steel. Our customer service will be more than happy to assist you in getting this corrected.
