Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Today, we're looking at our Trimax Hitch Receiver and Coupler Lock Set for both Class III and Class IV hitches that are gonna be keyed alike. So folks, having these keyed alike is a very nice convenience, because since they use both the same keys, it's gonna simplify your security routine. You don't have to really carry four keys, you can technically just carry one and open everything. You're gonna get the 5/8 inch thick receiver lock for the Class III and Class IV two inch by two inch receivers. And you're gonna get the 1/4 inch thick diameter coupler lock that fits a trigger-style coupler latch with a 7/8 inch span.
So that should cover your towing setup from the hitch to the coupler. Now, everything here is very simple to use. You got a rubber cap here that's gonna keep the weather and everything out. It's a simple quarter turn to open and close everything. So again, very simple to use.
Now, if you'll see, I just turned that and locked it. You cannot put this back on unless you have that key inserted and have it unlocked. So remember, the key is almost like a part of the tool itself to open and close it. And that's actually a good thing, because it just helps you remember, "Hey, it's not actually locked." So if you don't have your keys sticking in there, you can't get it open or closed. Same thing with this guy right here on the coupler lock, or I'm sorry, the hitch lock.
Got a nice rubberized cap here. And as you can see, I'm fighting with it, so it's sticking on here pretty good actually. There we go. Same thing, quarter turn, and it's off. I can slide this through my hitch accessory, whether it's a ball mount, bike rack, whatnot, and then lock it back.
And once again, you've got the protective rubber cover. You're gonna get four keys. Again, everything here is keyed alike. As far as some overall dimensions, the overall usable pin length here is 2 3/4 inches on the inside. And again, 7/8 inches on the 1/4 inch one. Well, folks, that's gonna wrap it up for our quick look today. Everything is hardened steel with a nice polished chrome finish, so you don't have to worry about rust, corrosion, anything like that. I'm Steven, thanks for watching. And please, we always love to see some photos of it in use. Have a good one.
