Speaker 1: Today we're taking a look at a Draw Tite trailer hitch receiver lock. Now this is a flush style trailer hitch receiver lock that's used in place of a standard pin and clip to prevent theft of your ball mount of hitch mount accessories, so you can secure your bike rack, ball mount, cargo carrier, hitch cover, tow bar and more to your trailer hitch. This one features a pick-proof square key design, which provides maximum security. It's made from a durable steel construction with zinc finishing to resist rust and corrosion, and it does come with a dust cover that keeps moisture and dirt out of the key slot.So to operate it, what you need to do is you need to take one of the two keys, place it in, give it a turn until this portion right here pops out. That means that the lock is disengaged from the ball bearing system, which is also very secure and now you can remove or add the included sleeve, which changes the diameter of the pin from 5/8 of an inch to 3/4 of an inch. You can place this through your hitch and through your accessory and then you take this, and you place it back on the end of the pin, fit it all the way on there, push that down, you need to move it into the lock position first.
Push it down to lock it in place.So it's a nice, easy to use design. Then you take that cover place it back over to keep dirt and grime out of the key slot. Really that's all there is to it. Again, this is a 5/8-inch diameter and then you can convert it to 3/4-inch diameter when the sleeve is installed. It's designed to fit hitches with three-inch by three-inch trailer hitch receivers.
It will also work for 2-1/2 inch hitches and two-inch hitches. The overall length of the unit measuring edge to edge gives us a measurement of about 6-1/4 inches and then the usable pin length or the span which is from inside edge to inside edge is four inches long.That's going to do it for today's look at the Draw Tite trailer hitch receiver lock.

Poor quality. Could not get the lock to go back on the pin after unlocking. Replaced it with a much better product by Proven Industries.
The Locking Hitch Pin was not in the box. The box was pretty beat up but understandable as hitch is heavy. I didn’t notice any holes prior to opening so question if pin was simply missed in shipping? I would recommend taping the hitch pin to the hitch in this situation would have possibly saved locking pin from coming out of box if it was indeed was inside box at time of shipment.
Well, I bought the tires and rims as spares in the event of primary failures. Fortunately I have not had to fall on those reserves but, with that my purchases there of have been holding up and held up well with the mounts and gear from etrailer.
I needed this hitch lock, it was in stock, and you didn't even notify me of a stock error and back order. Then you couldn't expedite. Very bad customer service.
This hitch is amazing !I tow trailers for friends and family alot ,and now I only have to carry one hitch .Being able to leave the hitch in and not smash my knees ,is a really cool feature .
This thing is dangerous. After a few uses, the lock stopped engaging consistently and eventually stopped altogether. I found that I could pull or wiggle the lock and get it to disengage without the use of the key. Considering the weight being towed behind a 3" hitch, I would never recommend this to anyone. Find something with a better locking mechanism.

Towed with it last year about 9 times. This is what it looks like. Bent it and shaved down seen in pics. Only good thing it was very easy to use.
The locking hitch pin fits the 3 inch hitch on my 2017 F-250 perfectly.

I’ve been using the hitch pin for a year, it still works great and looks as good as the day I installed it.
Josh was awesome on helping us find the locks we were looking for he also knows his stuff!

It’s been great but the rubber cap cover fell off almost right away
The hitch was falling out of the box,the bag full of nuts and bolts was torn in several places. How everything got here without falling out I'll never know. etrailer.com needs to do better shipping this product. Too many past reviews mention simular condition of this hitch showing up in worse shape then mine and missing things. Looks like another quality made product by Torklift and Drawtite.
etrailer is one of the few places carrying a 3/4 locking hitch pin. I purchased from them due to several previous positive experiences. The item was just as described. Packaged well and shipped promptly. The price was fair. Would definitely buy from them again.
Was able to bundle together several towing system components to ensure I had a complete and integrated system, thanks etrailer for making it easy snd fast!
Just received my lock and hitch today. UPS even rang the doorbell...Shock!! The lock looks like it'll work well.

Great hitch lock, no rust, has been on my truck the whole time 1 year. No weathering of any kind, it's been hit, dropped, rained on, and in this Arizona heat and still functions as it did when it was brand new.

The lock seems hard to break which is important those days..

I installed this morning along with my sleeve reducer. The lock was a bit difficult to open the first time, but once I got it to open it seemed to work as described. Looks good and should secure my hitch and receiver.
Draw Tite Trailer Hitch Lock works well and is made well too.
Well, it fits my new Ford 3” receiver with room to spare. Nice locking mechanism. Time will tell on actual performance.

The hitch pin that I ordered was every thing I expected it to be, received it in a couple of days,
will order again.
First one sent didn't have keys. Within five days I had a new one with keys. The lock works as advertised. No hassle, excellent customer service.
Protects my hitch from being removed and is very easy to lock and unlock
It was difficult to operate the key mechanism. I was expecting a tube key. I'll probably just buy one from someone else and use this as a paper weight.
