Michael: Hi, there. I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're going to take a quick look at the Weigh Safe replacement dual-sided hitch ball. This is going to replace the dual-sided hitch ball that came standard with your 180 hitch two ball mount for 2.5", Whether that be the option with the 4" drop, 6" drop, 8" drop or 10" drop. This will replace that hitch ball that came with any of those options. Now, this is going to provide the connection point for your trailer's coupler.
Whether you need a 2" ball or a 2 5/16" ball, it is going to fit inside the hitch ball mounting platform, just like the original did. So it's going to do a good job for you.As far as our weight capacities go for our 2" ball, it's going to be 8,000 pounds. For our 2 5/16" ball, it's going to be 18,500 pounds. So a very heavy-duty option for you there. This is a stainless steel construction, so it's going to resist corrosion and be nice and strong for you.

Purchased the drop hitch, adjustable platform and dual balls - once you insert the set pin into the platform/dual ball it will seize. You will not be able to get the pin out to change to other dual ball. Took some back and forth to get another platform shipped from etrailer/180 hitch so I could have each size available (1 7/8,”, 2”, & 2 5/16”) for my various trailer needs. I’m happy now, but it was a design flaw. Engineers first told me to drill the pin out... as if I have a drill press and can make a perfect jib to drill it out perfectly.....

Almost too beautiful to put to work. We have put many thousands of miles on the 180 hitch and needed an extra ball to tow the little utility trailer. The double duty TB03 works well and makes switching trailers a breeze.

I think this brand of tow bar is the best out there, because the wire is supported and the safety cables are attached and it all stores on the motor home. I had a lighter weight Demco bar for eight years and really liked it. I bought this heavy tow bar because we will be towing a Ford F250 and needed the heavy rated tow bar. After owning a Demco for eight years, I would recommend this bar for a heavy super duty truck.

The hitch it self is great, I bought the different size reversible ball for other trailor that I owned. After couple of tows with boat, I tried to pull the center in lift the sliding ball out to put smaller ball in and could not ball in out. The center pin has a threaded bolt hole to help by putting in bolt to pull pin out. That didn't do it either. I'm assuming that the aluminum hitch has a grove in the pun holding it?

Best hitch I’ve ever owned. I have full confidence pulling any trailer I have. Being able to adjust the height of the ball allows me to keep my trailer level as well. Very well made and strong .

This is an excellent product.
I Tow a myriad of different Trailers often using my F350. From 300 lb. to 10,000 lb. and just about every type, Low, Boat, Haulers, etc. as well,
I us it on the Family Car also.
Pro's:
Manufactured from one piece stock (aluminum).
Very Versatile - I use it both on my F350 and Chrysler Town & Country.
If you purchase the 1 /7/8" / 2" in addition, you'll have every size.
I purchased the Locking Mechanism as well. Like any lock, they're primarily made to deter. Anyone who wants something can get it!
Comparable in price to other units. But, this unit is a, brushed aluminum. Little maintenance will keep it up for years.
Cons:
The Pin for securing the "Dual-Sided Hitch Ball" (which only purpose is to keep the ball and shaft in the receiver) can become stuck. Simply use a bolt (the pin is already threaded) to easily remove. I carry one in my vehicles for just this.
Overall, I am VERY happy with my purchase.
I purchase often from e-trailer. I like their video's and information I can review and compare prior to purchase. No surprises.

Excellent! Got about 20k miles pulling with it this year. Only downside is the ball extending down lowers the departure angle too much and caused me to break a stabilizer bar bracket during an off-roading event.

This product is absolutely made of the finest metal, heavy and solid in terms of worth, it is at the highest level. Now for the purchase of the original double ball, I thought I was getting the 1 7/8" and flip to 2". While ordering it , it was not clear at all.
